JACKSON HOLE Mountain Resort Wyoming Ski Resort Guide Ikon Pass | Snowboard Traveler

- Jackson Hole is a challenging ski resort in Wyoming’s Teton Mountains. Half of the 2,500 acres are expert, gnarly riding. The rest is exciting intermediate runs with some groomers but be prepared: the resort may not be for everyone. There are steep runs, tight chutes, and technical terrain in every direction. It tests and rewards even the seasoned rider in ways unlike other destinations. On bluebird days there are incredible views from Big Red, powdery hike-to-terrain, and iconic runs top to bottom. Don’t forget the famous waffles and Corbet’s Couloir: the legendary drop that we and many others psych themselves up for.

Fantastic!
I lived in Teton Village in 1973 and 1974 as a ski bum. There were only a few lodges...... The Alpenhof (where I worked), The Sojourner (to the right of the Alpenhof), The Seven Levels Inn, The Holton, and The Hostel. That's all. There were only 3 condo buildings in the entire village over to the left and towards mountain from the Hostel. There were 3 chairlifts on Apres Vous and one additional called the Thunder chair on Rendezvous.
Great place back then. TOUGH mountain back then too....much tougher than now for sure. 85% was ungroomed.
Every local rode 205's and longer. On the tram you were mocked mercilessly if you had skis shorter than 205's. We rode Rossignol Roc 550's, and Strato 102's as well as K2 Comps, and Dynamic VR17's. Miller Softs were the powder board of choice.
I bet the snow was so good too! I wish we could experience it like that
my brother worked at the Alpenhof as the night auditor in '88-'90's. He's still in WY working for Harry Ford as house painter
Best town ever! So glad you guys get to enjoy and experience such a fabulous place!! Merry Christmas!
Becki! We see why you like it out there. Any plans to visit WY soon?
That was a great explanation of the place . Thank you. I am going to Jackson Hole in two weeks. Life long goal.
Sounds like they have great conditions there right now.
Thanks for the video and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Yay. One of my favorite 😍
Had a lot of fun there!
Thanks for the guide! gave me an idea of what to ski when i go!
Awesome! Have a blast when you go and hope you get better snow conditions than we did!
Awesome video!😊
Thanks!
Do you think Rendavous Bowl is a run for someone in between intermediate and good
You could test out Laramie bowl and other black runs and if you can do those you should be fine. Also could look into the bowl from the top by the cabin and see how you feel.
@@snowboardtraveler ya but if I do that I still need to get down somehow
If you don’t like how it looks from the cabin at the top you can take the tram back down.
@@snowboardtraveler o I didn’t know that thanks
Stop in the cabin and have a waffle first.
Are you planning any trips to europe?
Not this year with the low snow but maybe next season
@3:30. Did she actually just say, "Gross ventra?" Oh my. It's more like, 'grow vont.' If you pronounce it thusly, locals will actually know what you're referring to.
Good to know, we couldn’t find the local pronunciation. Thanks for the info.
fellow~pro ! want a promo?~ ;))
Hey Utahns...
If you are coming here stop with the Mormon blockades while driving and realize you are a guest here, stop acting like you own everything.
