I have just used this product for the first time, and it is by far the best Wheel Cleaner I have ever used. It even got rid of the hard crust build-up you get in the corner of the alloy wheel, if anyone here has done a Trackday with racing brake pads you will know what I mean, a real pain in the ass to remove, and yet this stuff got rid of it, first time. I would have to use an acid solution to get off that kind of brake dust stain on the wheels. Amazing stuff.
Yes you're right, takes the hard stuff away. The demonstration in this video shows what you can do with just soap and water, no need to waste the BH on wheels that don't have that baked on brake dust.👍
Great video. I too am a convert for BH after seeing this online. It’s brilliant! I don’t even bother to brush / agitate. Just spray on & rinse off. It still comes up spotlessly.
Think I need to try this stuff, I’m amazed how well it clings to the wheels most other wheel cleaners I’ve tried usually run off within a minute never mind still be on there at 5 minutes.
Nice short easy demo of the BH auto wheel as just got myself some too to try as tired of all the elbow work trying to get the wheels cleaned. Liked n subbed thx!!
Bilt Hamber has quality products, I've been using Korrosol and Surfex-HD for almost 10 years. Also used their Auto Foam, but swapped to Nerta Diamond two years ago. Just bought this wheel cleaner as I haven't tried it before, I have mainly been using P21s for 10 years, two years ago I tried Rim 7, also a very good wheel cleaner and I have been using both P21s and Rim 7 for two years. I picked up the 4 liter can knowing its a quality brand, and your results are just what I expected. I do clean my car at least once a week, and with these products I hardly ever use a wheel brush, spray on, hose off, done.
Dear sir.please can you help.me.with your experisnce.with the surfex hd?? Can you suggest uaes of the product inaide and oute of the car and se dilutios rations please witch you recomend for sertain tasks please???
@@marioskosmidhs9454 Sure. the thing to remember is that Surfex HD is very strong, but it has its limitations. For normal degrease/pre wash I use a 5% mix, if mixed too strong it will strip the wax off the car. When I prepp my cars for machine polishing I typically use a 20-30% mix, that will stripp off the old wax and leave the paint ready to be polished. I did use a 10-15% mix as a wheel cleaner, but to be honest there are better products more suited for wheels, as mentioned in my previous comment. Surfex HD has it's limits, it's a very good product for removing light grease, sticky dust etc. It will not remove tar/asphalt, for that you need a different product, I do not use it in the winter for removing road salt etc. its not very good for that. I ise it in the summertime for those quick non-touch washes. Spray on a 5% mix, foam the vehicle, wait 5 minutes, hose it off and done. I made one video here, go through the products I use in the start of the video. ua-cam.com/video/RDy0vaCUc5o/v-deo.html
Nigel Thaxter I’m in Norway and we have several companies that specializes in car cleaning and detailing products. If you are in the U.K. I’m afraid I can’t really help you, I guess you will find a place through an internet search.
I also use this and it is the best wheel cleaner on the market. Spray it on a dry cool wheel - let it sit and then jet wash off , the results are amazing.
I know it's seemingly a good product which I'm about to get too but that wheel isn't that dirty at all, I would like to see it on on hardened brake dust
I find that Korrosol is a really good wheel cleaner too. Ive just bought Surfex HD to try as a wheel cleaner is its cheap for what you get. Its one thing that frustrates me about BH, is their pricing, which seems weird. 1ltr spray bottle surfex-HD £9.95 Yet 5ltr jerrycan surfex-HD is only £16.95 But.......... 1ltr auto-wheel £12.95, 5ltr auto-wheel £52.95 1 ltr korrosol £12.95, 5ltr korrosol £52.95 Weird. Edit: Just watched your vid where you compare the auto wheels and Korrosol.
This is a fantastic product , the head trigger is a bit hard but a quality one 👌. In my opinion a pre wash/manteinance wash with a soft brush and soapy water/ alkaline cleaner ( like KKD break away) is king. The product itself (autowheel) is an " Iron Remover ", not your standard wheel cleaner.
Both BH Auto Wheels and Korrosol are pretty much the same product be it Auto Wheel has a slightly thicker viscosity. Both products are also caustic and will strip the zinc metal playing on unpainted brake callipers and wheel hubs.
Great results, I'm considering buying some wheel cleaner, always been very cautious at using a wheel cleaner because I have diamond cut alloys. I did read somewhere that you should avoid using wheel cleaner on centre caps so that might be something you want to try to avoid 👍
Personally, where I see advice to be cautious cleaning wheels with off the shelf products I think to myself.... This is a wheel, think about what its exposed to mile after mile. Im quite sure cleaning it with a non-acid product we can all buy off the shelf is not going to harm it. After all, these are wheels we are cleaning here. Not a newborn babies backside :-)
@@philliptopping4832 - I didn't. I tend to hit it with the jet wash then wash the wheels with BH auto wash. The wheels are ceramic coated so that helps too.
I got some of this and it's awesome, love the stuff. I've changed my wheels to Alloy and Black and I'm unsure if it's safe to use on the Black Park of my wheels. Any advice would be appreciated
@@amyk9813 Yes, it works fine on the black part just don't leave it too long on the wheels. A couple of minutes then a scrub with a brush then rinse off. :-)
What a knob! 3wks of brake dust build up would just wash off perfectly with sponge and car shampoo hahaha Does the stuff get ironed on brake dust that been stuck in corners for mths / a year+ etc
I used some of this today on my polo and its awesome, gets the wheels so clean, better than anything else iver ever used before.

I don't use anything but this on my wheels - Brilliant

Think I might get some👍 had the auto foam delivered today and this would be good along side it
I also use this and it is the best wheel cleaner on the market. Spray it on a dry cool wheel - let it sit and then jet wash off , the results are amazing.
5l jug is very cost effective. Using few Bit H products and I'm completely blown away by quality.
Market leading stuff, without the silly frilly packaging.
I know it's seemingly a good product which I'm about to get too but that wheel isn't that dirty at all, I would like to see it on on hardened brake dust

It's a wheel cleaner with a built in iron remover korrosol is there dedicated iron remover
i dont use nothing elses on wheels ...also i use there snow foam but i add some surfex hd in with it aswell for a kick 💪
Off to try it on mine now too - cheers 👍
Cool video chap thanks ...i'm going to get some : )
Is this OK to use on diamond cut alloys?
No bullshit in this video, it really is this good. No catch, just go out and get some!
What’s it like with the ground in crap in the corners? I think fairy liquid could of done what I’ve just watched
Is it safe for painted an anodized wheels
How do you find the autoglym bottles.? Struggling to find anything that sits in my hand Nicely that is not over priced . Thanks in advance !
Can this be used on paint? As it’s a decontaminater / iron fall out?
use BH Surfex made for the paint but it strong enough for the wheels too
Both BH Auto Wheels and Korrosol are pretty much the same product be it Auto Wheel has a slightly thicker viscosity.

i have seen some people use it on you tube they mention ...its some kind of smell coming from it after few days is this true?

R90 GTI did you buy this stuff and use it on your diamond cut alloys? Thinking of getting some to use on our DS3.

Good video mate!
how many washes will the 1L bottle typically produce?
The brush you were using on the front face is a bit too stiff, a big painters brush would be fantastic.
he didn't clean the barrel
this looked ok BUT you forgot the most imortant part ??? inside the wheel
Can this be used on black bmw alloys?
What have you been using? Cheapest thing on the market?
Just a question do you dilute this ?
No, it comes pre mixed ☺️

You're the nob
Get yourself a detailing brush just for your rims
I was hoping you were just going to pressure wash this off without the brushing. 😑
Well guess what? THAT DIDNT HAPPEN SUCK IT UP
Can it be used to clean car paint
SCANMANMAN Yes, it clings maybe little too much, that’s why they have Korrosol for paint.
Wow!
*part* bloody autocorrect
So you have detailing in your name but don't use wheel cleaner usually? nice one.. what are you even comparing it to to call it the best
How you like auto wheel vs karrosol?
Can this be used on a matte finish alloy?
