If you use this tutorial & post your work on Instagram, tag me @astronautalpaca on the post and I'll share your post as well! Also, here are a couple lighting "techniques" I used that weren't mentioned in the video: - I added a green point light behind the cryo-tank and increased the strength by quite a bit to add some lighting contrast between the background and foreground. - I set the world color strength to 0 so the only sources of light were the ones in the room - I made sure that all the lights/emissive objects in the scene emitted green light to bring everything together
this is one of the most easiest to follow tutorials in the context of speed editing and time lapse, even for someone like me that's a beginner. You, Sir Deserve more subs and views :)
hi i was a little lost in the part that expands the cylinder, what do you do to add the division in the middle and to select only the parts going to the middle and not the whole cylinder. I can't understand the shortcuts for this correctly
Hey great tut man! Request: Can you do a longer tutorial on some horror game esque atmosphere dungeon or corridor or something? Mainly just something that is super atmospheric. Thankss. ^_^
Why did you use 200 vertices for the cylinders? You really don't need more than 30 or so if you use shade smooth and auto smooth(found in object data properties) It will be easier on your computer, and it looks just as good.
That’s very true - my computer tends to render the scene in the same amount of time regardless of how many vertices there are but I’ll definitely point this out in the future.
I loved this tutorial man but I followed all the steps and I can't see my Subject in the tank despite making the tank with the specific nodes, can you give me some suggestions to try to be able to show the model?
Hey, it's actually just a .mov file - the images as planes add-on can supports videos as well. The RGB curves node is there to just change the color of the smoke from white to light green to match the scene.
I know this is 2022 but I am having a problem and I am a blender noob, I have been searching for this on google and can't find anywhere.. Around 2:18 how do you make that selection of faces thinner so that I can focus on that area making it bevel.. Thanks
Dope tutorial fam and appreciate you for posting. I know I'm super late, but did anyone figure out the issue with the tank not showing up as transparent even with all the nodes applied?
Awesome freaky lab, new sites and great new techniques 👍you just talk very fast on some key modeling points but i lower the playback speed couple of times thx
I try to use tutorials like this to learn blender but for some reason as soon as we go into shading my brain stops working, like i could probably recreate the room from memory, but the color of the tank, the fog and everything else is gone.
Nice to meet you. I also enjoy Blender. Your Blender tutrial is kind and easy to understand. I would like to refer to my BLENDER modeling. Thank you. 😄😄😄
I'll think about I but I have a list of tutorials that I want to get to first - I recommend checking out Ian Hubert's post-apocalyptic city tutorial though.
I won't lie I just found out about caternary curves in Blender from this comment lol - will definitely use those in the future. Thanks for pointing that out.
Can we go a bit slower and doing the scene with describing what is used for what and continuing it please do from onwards please and I appreciate your talent but it's a bit hard to understand we will just be able to make what you're making because we don't know what is used in what so please describe and go a bit slower beacause everybody here is to understand

I want the full tutorial too.
Very nice!
👋 thanks for the tuts. Where did you find the smoke video. That would safe me hours and hours of baking some scenes
I found the smoke on this website: www.videezy.com/free-video/smoke - hope this helps
Hi just wanted to ask why the smoke is moving, my brief understanding that it is a mask but was it the curve node that made it change with the view?
Hey, it's actually just a .mov file - the images as planes add-on can supports videos as well. The RGB curves node is there to just change the color of the smoke from white to light green to match the scene.

I'll think about I but I have a list of tutorials that I want to get to first - I recommend checking out Ian Hubert's post-apocalyptic city tutorial though.
@@PopNerdStudio Can we get some spoilers from your list?
@@varundoshi5136 Hmm all I'll say for now is that it's going to be cyberpunk related content 👀
@@PopNerdStudio How about a cyberpunk themed car?
What is going on at 0:55? I'm trying to figure it out but i can't :(
Thank you sir
Amazing tut! Is there any particular reason using bezier curves over extra object caternary?
I won't lie I just found out about caternary curves in Blender from this comment lol - will definitely use those in the future. Thanks for pointing that out.
thanks for this o ne helped heaps
