This video makes me appreciate my buckeye burl bowl a little more.
Yeah, it's a really involved process for sure! Thanks so much for watching.
Great video. Thanks for posting
Hey Keith, so glad we can show people the process of cutting Buckeye. It's way more involved than most people realize! Thanks again for watching & liking the video.
@@CookWoods Very informative and really appreciate the time you took to post. I have purchased products from you since I have found your website that I did not know existed. Great products and will definitely be purchasing more in the future for shipment her to Laurel, Md. :)
Mrs wants to move to "K" falls. Says she would always know where I was. TNX for great video!
Walt, you're so welcome! We love Klamath Falls. :)
a trick: watch movies on flixzone. I've been using it for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
@Jaxx Wade yup, I've been watching on flixzone for since november myself :D
Thanks for posting, beautiful wood!
It's absolutely our pleasure. It was a fun video to make.
Beautiful Chris!
Thanks Melissa, we really appreciate you watching!
Sweet coffee cup too!
You gotta have the coffee cup! It's a classic.
Very well presented. Nicely done. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you for sharing this video. I now know and understand why blank's can be so pricey. You and your wife are absolutely great people to deal with.
Your wife has always answered any question I have ever asked. Every piece of wood I have purchased has been absolutely beautiful. Well worth every cent!
Thank you.
Carl, thank you so much for your comments. It's such a privilege to love what we do and be able to serve our customers. We're so glad we can share a little piece of the process by taking you behind the scenes.
I really wish yall could provide more of this stuff in block for knife making or even bowl Blanks that could be cut down it very difficult for some to purchase a whole cookie
We usually have some smaller pieces in the Buckeye, but we sell out VERY quickly, in days! I would recommend subscribing to our emails through our website so that you can be notified of new sales and have first pick!
I've got a Spector NS2 bass and a Wal MK1 bass with buckeye ... works of art!
Buckeye is such an amazing wood for guitars!!
Love this. I make guitars and I’m always looking for character in wood for my guitars.
Interesting wood. Colors are very different from anything else I've seen.
Isn't Buckeye amazing!? The natural colors in wood never cease to impress/amaze us!
Now i get why buckeye burl tops are the most expensive wood option for the guitar i want
Yes! It's hard to understand that without having been to a mill to see the whole process. So glad this video helped you!
Good stuff, I’m not a turner and wanted to see how to use burl for other things
Buckeye is so unique. People use the burl lumber for electric guitars, tables, jewelry boxes, end tables and so much more. It's such a unique wood!
Great video! Quick question, where are you all located out of?!
Thank you so much! We are located in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
@@CookWoods oh nice! I’m a sculptor based out of Albany, Oregon and I have found that the turning bowl blanks work perfect for my bases-I’m hoping to head down soon and see your store!
We can't wait to see you here in the store. There are so many beautiful choices!
Why not sell some smaller pieces, to do acrilic fill table tops???
Reece, we do have smaller pieces often, but our Buckeye sells out so quickly. It's hard to keep in stock!
Will buckeye fad out over time like flame box elder?
Thank you Chris for reaching out. Buckeye keeps its color really well! It's very porous, so using a good sealer always helps retain color.
Idry turbo outside, just sitting?
I'd be glad to pay a stupid price for wood for knife handles
You should definitely check out cookwoods.com to see our individually pictured woods!
