The first half of the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.

More off-cut firewood to beautiful furniture. It’s amazing what gets thrown out and/or burned. The walnut is beautiful. The table looks like it came right out of a Dr. Seuss book. I would love to see more of that. As an amateur woodworker, I feel like we get stuck in the mindset of straight edges and 90 degree angles. When I make knife handles, sometimes there will be very fine voids that need to be filled. Instead of mixing the sawdust with the glue i found that packing the void with the dust(overfill it and something like a needle works well to really get it in there) and then using a drop of very thin CA glue on it. the thin stuff will wick in and set up nearly instantly. After sanding off the excess, it seems to work better at keeping the void filled. Give it a shot sometime, see how you like it.
I love the shape of the leg and the pattern of the book-matched top. I might have drilled a big hole in the underside of the base and put in a big lead or iron weight. Reason: if you have a cat, that table is going over!

I'm not sure why - but I find myself watching SO many of your videos! There is something about how you explain things and show things that is really engaging, and watching what looks to a layman's eye like junk wood turn into a magnificently beautiful creation by your hands is truly captivating and enthralling. I am not a woodworker and I don't think I would ever undertake a project the likes of which you do because of the enormous amount of time, complexity and attention to detail. I've built a treehouse for my kids and a treehouse cage for my bird, and other very simple things like that - but I am simple AMAZED at what you are able to create! Also, I VERY much appreciate that a) that you never ever use foul language and b) you never show sexually suggestive scenes. Some of the best youtube content that I've seen often has at the very least a "throw in" of some foul language or sexually suggestive scenes that really are completely gratuitous and have nothing to do with the video's content and are thrown in "just 'cause" , and I always come away feeling from things like that like "Uch, why did they have to go and mar an otherwise amazing clip." Your videos are great content, pure and simple. The "Real McCoy". Keep up the GREAT work!!!! And thank you for providing truly enjoyable and genuinely valuable content!

I have virtually zero interest in personally wood working but it's always nice to watch and listen to someone else that actually seems to genuinely care about what they do Nice video, watched it all. I just have zero clue what to suggest lol.
I love everything that I watch you make. I haven't found a favorite yet. Except I love this little table it is unique and will fit in a small space beautifully. I watch you because I miss watching my dad and my husband, and they are both gone now. I love beautiful wood and beautiful glass, so in a way, you do both using the resin. I wish I could afford a small table but not on my fixed-income. I will just keep enjoying the beautiful work you do. Thank you for the beauty that brings Beautiful Memories.
Frankly, I could see this table with a clear top so I would get the full impact of the satiny patterning of the base whenever I looked t it. The top turned out well, but, for me, think I'd prefer to allow top, base to stand on their own. Watching you make finishing decisions to bring out the beauty of each type of wood, especially the unique wood pieces you chose to use, is the pinnacle of each video!
Bookmatched is classy and creative. It's great creating out of burn pile pieces. I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy and can no longer use my arms. I've created lots with wooden, metal fibreglass and repurposed carbon fibre hockey sticks. Thanks for sharing.
Wow!!! I am not a wood guru or a designer, but man oh man are you talented in both!! I adore your designs and your humor. Keep it up and let me see more!! 😊

>comment saying what i want to see next, which is simply Anything You Want.< What a fun project! I love the wonky, Dr. Seuss-ness of it. Putting the cans on the edge of the table at the end was very informative! Thanks for doing that.
This is absolutely beautiful. I love what you do. I think a dining room table would look beautiful with legs like this or whatever shape you decide to make them them. This is inspiring. Thankyou.
Great build. I actually did one like this a few years ago for a sofa end table for drinks. Mine doesn't look as good as this, but it is functional. Thanks for another great build!
The dowel idea I think is the best secret here! It sort of creates a segmented spine up the leg! You could do a standing human form that way relatively easily! (32 yr handyman here; amateur furniture repair & refinisher)
The 4 way bookends table top looks great. It reminds me of a card table a friend of mine has. Same center, only made in an octagon shape with a triple frame. The center frame was removable in sections to reveal each of the player's tray.
Amazing another home run outstanding brother I thank you it's people like you that make others do and make things so again thank you don't stop . Oh it really looks like a Dr. Seuss table
Interestingly, you taught me a trick or two on how best to teach my students in a remote environment. I don’t teach woodworking but the voice over technique and the idea of explicit instructions were influential as I/we made the transition. My classes have gone permanently remote now but I still enjoy your videos. Cheers dude.
Love your videos , gotta tell ya, when I saw your table base stacked laminations I couldn't wait to see you finish it. That technique is about 80% of what I do. Lots of sculptures , free form , manta Ray's, wall sculpture and laminate bowls. I have 7 side grinders with dedicated sculpting wheels on them. One man's heaven is another man's hell. The hrs of sanding to get it butter smooth is meditation for me. I want to thank you so much for showing this piece to us. It was absolute pure pleasure to watch. Beautiful finish! I have virtually zero interest in personally wood working but it's always nice to watch and listen to someone else that actually seems to genuinely care about what they do
Nice video, watched it all.
I really love this table! It’s unique and the lighter/darker wood combo is stunning!!
I've done several small tables with stacked baltic birch. Good way to use scraps and has a unique look.
Anything you want. That is definitely really nice, idk if I’d personally have it in my home but if I went to someone else’s house and saw it, I’d definitely appreciate ot and compliment it
Absolutely love this design!!
Facebook recommended that I check you out, so glad they did. Even though I don’t do wood working, I loved seeing this piece of work being created!!! Great job!!!
>comment saying what i want to see next, which is simply Anything You Want.<
What a fun project! I love the wonky, Dr. Seuss-ness of it. Putting the cans on the edge of the table at the end was very informative! Thanks for doing that.
Table, real nice. Finish, REAL nice. Vacuum clamp, better than sliced bread. Beautiful work, man.
That goby keeps me up at night
That's a beautiful looking palm tree with a table on it 👍
Hi Cam, Just wanted to say that you do beautiful work. I don't have these abilities but enjoy watching you work. Cheers, Larry
The table looks very beautiful. And I really like your videos and how you explain all the work precisely. Thank you
Thanks!
The dowel idea I think is the best secret here! It sort of creates a segmented spine up the leg! You could do a standing human form that way relatively easily! (32 yr handyman here; amateur furniture repair & refinisher)
It’s beautiful. Small and yet elegant. As always a good finish process. Great work
The 4 way bookends table top looks great. It reminds me of a card table a friend of mine has. Same center, only made in an octagon shape with a triple frame. The center frame was removable in sections to reveal each of the player's tray.
Another shop tour ... for sure. This is a beautiful piece.
Keep doing your videos. I love your craftsmanship. Well done 👏👏👏
