Have easily bought $1000 worth of wood from them so far in 2021. Great service and quality, and price is very reasonable. Very informative video. Entertaining too !!

Very nice video. Amazing how much wood is lost in the process. Thank you!!

Thank you so much for the comment! Yeah, not many people have seen the loss that happens when creating specialty woods for high end woodworkers. It's so fun to be able to share our process.

Although I already have access to more wood than I could use in my lifetime, it's interesting to see how you process those big chunks of wood.

@@CookWoods Sigh. I live in Michigan. That's a rather long commute every day. Around me, there are no places like you guys, but then, you all have been doing your thing for decades. It takes time and commitment.

How long do you let them dry before milling? Do you buy logged burls or just standing timber ?

I love these behind-the-scenes videos and seeing what goes into processing the logs into usable material. While I haven't bought a ton of stuff from you guys, everything I've gotten from you has been excellent and you're the first place I look when I need something for a project.
2 things I've wondered about from watching your channel:
    1) your yard always has these giant piles of logs, I'm curious about the turnover. Is the pile in today's video the same pile as last month, or is it all different?
    2) How do you source the wood, especially the exotics from overseas?

We buy good logs when they are available. Some logs stay on the deck for days and others months or up to a year. Sourcing logs overseas is very difficult and expensive but I love to bring beautiful wood to our customers and that makes it worth it for me.

You don’t do any pieces for tables, or epoxies
