  • @CaptainJack63
    @CaptainJack63 4 роки тому +15

    No your not crazy 🤪 for building that. I came up with a similar solution that includes the vest and a thumb-operated remote control for the gimbal. My Steadicam is small so now I'm looking into finding the largest Steadicam (including knockoffs and pro sticks) I can find and putting it all together into an affordable Trinity knockoff. To reduce the weight forward I'm looking into mounting battery packs at the bottom of the rig so I don't have to use extra weights. Your right that they had it perfectly balance as he demoed it with no hands on the rig. He was even able to maneuver the rig with just his body movements! Of course, the vest eliminates all weight issues. I even found a pro-quality vest at an amateur price. Think what will be key is putting a remote control on the handle so you can have full control of the gimbal.
    This fake Arri Trinity idea is great and I'm sure others are going to jump on this idea. It's really the ultimate rig for filming!! Keep up the great work and hope to see what you come up with! 😋

    That's a really cool setup mate. Just wondering how or if you could do the same with a Zhiyun crane 2 and Glidecam HD2000. What to useto mount the gimbal to the glidecam? Is a 1/4 screw enough for that?

    Insane, I thought of this concept a few months back in a wildish day dream... Thought the concept in my head was a little foolish.. Cant believe there is actually a stabilizer like this. Awesome. Bring on the follow up video

    great vid, love your suns mate... the colour, banging. The movement of the minity was epic, love the little head shakes as the camera was closing in. Also those fields... know them very well, lived in Ongar for 10 years! Behind Sainburys... you know... Looking forward to the next vid. L8er.

    When you tilt a gimbal slightly to the front when walking it takes out the bumps a little bit through the tilt axis.

    A great idea.
    You're no fool for making that steady system.
    Do you have any alternate suggestions for a similar system?
    Make a video of that construction.

    Yes. Definitely make more of this type. I want to see how good you can get with it. My Weebill S is in the mail right now and I already have a stabilizer. So I'll definitely be trying this out.

    Totally awesome idea. I have always hated the bounce I get when using a gimbal and I really struggle to get the shots to flow smoothly when I'm walking. It looks like this might be the answer, or at least a big help.... Not sure how I'm going to rig my little DJI Osmo Pocket on a SteadyCam but happy to give it go..
