Nitron DSP Are you kidding? Paul Tompkins is one of my favorite interviewers: he knows how to adapt to the conversation and get people to open up, instead of just asking the same questions as everyone else.
God this is such a great show. This guy asks the best questions, not the same boring questions they get asked on talk shows. I love seeing the actors talk a lot more and be really comfortable.
Paul is such an amazing interviewer. I like how he puts her at ease and lets her know that it's perfectly fine if she's feeling uncomfortable, that just doesn't seem to be a thing that happens often.
Tony Jurkas Yeah, that’s undeniably true. Rob is kind of the genius behind the show but Charlie, Glenn and Kaitlin are clearly the better actors/comedians/etc. It’s not that Mac isn’t a great character, he’s fucking awesome....but every once in a while, Charlie, Dee or Dennis will do something that makes you go “whoa...” like Dennis’s “I am untethered and my rage has no bounds” monologue in that gang misses the boat episode.
& I second the other commenters' remarks: what a damn good interviewer & host. I mean, he's super engaging, asks meaningful questions & adds insightful & pertinent remarks into the banter.
Definitely... She seems incredibly sweet. Actually all the sunny cast seems really nice, and I find it really interesting that people with really good senses of humor, who are willing to make fun of everything, usually are the most compassionate people. That's certainly been my experience in life. Really PC people are usually uptight and are actually more bitter and hateful than someone who just jokes about everything and doesn't take things seriously... Wait... I drifted... I agree with you is my Point, and my point is that I don't think it's coincidental she can be on a show where they joke about women and aren't politically correct and she comes across as really gentle and kind in real life
DJFP They really do all seem to be decent people. Kaitlin is almost unrecognizable outside the show just because her personality is so vastly different from Dee. Her voice is also much softer.
She seems very sweet and humble. I relate to her "Mom" feelings big time! I just recommended to my teenage sons to watch Sunny, and they LOVE it. They don't get why/how Dee is considered undesirable bc they think she's a "dime"! That's of course the genius casting. If an unattractive girl was cast, it'd feel mean to relentlessly demean her. This show trumps all comedies in past 15 yrs. BBT and Curb Enth next best comedies. :)
It's funny that she feels self conscious about her improv, yet, she had the best moment in the interview improving about being excited that her son might become a serial killer.
the 10 months thing is so true! like why do we still say 9 months i swear every pregnant woman I've known has passed 36 weeks with the baby still inside
She's a fucking weapon of a comic. I just god damn love her talent and personality.. Sometimes these episodes feel like you are being made privvy to conversation, to information, to other word finishing with ation. So much so, you could happily pay to watch them. Getting to see great, great successful media artists , especially comedians, share brutally stripped down and hard worn opinions, and advice. I love this series. I just wish it was on Netflix

I'd love to meet her someday, she's literally everything I want to be. Shes beautiful, hilarious, so sweet and down to Earth. Sweet Dee is the most underrated character on the show, I see a lot of myself in her as in being the only girl, wanting to be alone, constantly getting shit on (figuratively and literally in S11) and she's just awesome.
