I'm always amazed at how humble, and down to earth Nick is considering the vast amount of wealth he was born into. You can tell his parents raised him right. Just wish more parents, rich or poor, did the same.
I think he knew they were self aware, but I think he didn’t realize how many of them were that. Kinda like when I stared to paint abstract. I knew that circle paintings were always appear in troubled, demon possessed children, which I found funny. The one day my friend told me that Almost all my paintings had a circle somewhere in almost every paintin lol.
I love seeing comedians in real interviews because i expect them to be funny all the time, because of their shows and stand up and brief cameos, but they arent, which i find comforting.
i choked on my sandwich when paul started doing the fake cop story about how he lost his partner and the city didnt make sense anymore, i coughed really hard and a piece of ham flew out of my lungs
I find stupidity HILARIOUS, and it's also critiquing etc in the way that comedy is. So I think it's great that all/most of Nick's characters are unaware twits, it's a big thing in the world that needs to be expressed. The challenge/fun/variety is in seeing how many people/what sorts of people it can be applied to!
God I remember being stuck at my grandmas house in the countryside for weeks in the summer and all that was on TV all day was MTV's "The Hills" which is pure torture to watch
Jonathan Convoy There's no way you want me to close my beautiful talk hole, so I'm certain you meant that the bears are wearing large tuxedos or some other Russian Circus reference.
Nick Kroll is so adorable. Love his interviews!
KROLL: "The critics didn't like it, but what I always took solace in was that the public didn't either."
SOMEONE IN THE BACKGROUND: **dies laughing**
nope that was the presenter!

I agree. 💯 Ameezing!
Like Julia Louis Dreyfuss.
Wow I have only ever seen Kroll in Kroll Show and I had no idea he was this cool and down to earth, awesome interview.
a pleasure to eavesdrop on this convo
Paul F. Tompkins is like, my favourite interviewer. Everyone of his interviews is fucking awesome, as is he.
Anybody find it ironic that Kroll was a bit unaware that all his characters weren't very self aware?

Still one of the best shows on youtube. Please revive this show Paul F. Tompkins!
Working on it now ;)

dodged a bullet on that krollsby show eh
Ha, ha. How did I miss that? I gave a "heh" at the krollsby line and didn't even think about it.
@ Cuggy RIGHT? :D
He had to know the allegations. They’d been around for decades
"…and he did Ace Ventura in his act. Uhh, so…I felt okay about all of it."
Love the look on Paul's face. Like he couldn't even laugh at that.
can you explain that bit? I couldn't understand the subtext
Any good, self-respecting comedian would never, ever steal a bit like Ace Ventura.
@@SwitcherooU oh he stole it! damn. gotcha. Thanks !
Even after all my Comedy Bang Bang listens, I still bought the cop thing at first. I just needed it to be true
+Jonah I am not ashamed to admit I looked up to see if any of that was true.
same.....in fact i came back to this looking for...you two apparently
Easily two of my favourite people in the world. So great to have them in the same room, AND INDEED, talking to each other.
Mr peanutbutter and the main character from big mouth together??? What is this a crossover episode?
No way. I won't be able to see him any different now.
This was a great interview, bro!
I adore Nick Kroll.
I love Nick kroll so much
I've loved him since I saw him in Get Him To The Greek, as he was doing the phone bit.
This guy is very talented. I wish he was in more stuff.
Both these guys have hilarious characters on Comedy Bang Bang
That Ace Ventura moment made my day
i choked on my sandwich when paul started doing the fake cop story about how he lost his partner and the city didnt make sense anymore, i coughed really hard and a piece of ham flew out of my lungs

kroll show is brilliant.

Same girl
Girl same.
@@Alex-jg2bc no no, lay off. He's mine 😉
Get in line, honey. 😘
@@ericag5346 actually he belongs to lily kwong
This show truly is relaxing
I think another large theme of his show is also poking fun at the MTV reality shows popular in the early 2000's.
i didn't see that
God I remember being stuck at my grandmas house in the countryside for weeks in the summer and all that was on TV all day was MTV's "The Hills" which is pure torture to watch
i was blown away learning that paul was a cop, but it also makes sense. he does have a sense of authority, and he can command a room
it was a joke
Paul F. Tompkins looks like if Tom Hanks had a younger brother who became a magician.
This stuff is genius. HOW IS THIS NOT ON TV YET?! This stuff could slide onto IFC tomorrow.
he looks so good in this interview omg
That was an extremely quick 25 minutes. I could watched another hour easily
Best episode ever. Including future episodes. I borrowed H.P. Wells time machine to make sure. And yes, it is the best. The best episode ever.
"I've never really seen The State" I was always obsessed w/ The State. Regardless of his sauciness, I love both shows.
haha I love Paul's reaction to the cruiseship comedian doing ace ventura in his act
I am also very big on The Nick Show Kroll as being a thing. Nick Kroll is one of the real geniuses in comedy.
This show is class. Even has a Kahlúa ad.
Nick Show Kroll is such a good title
BRING THIS SHOW BACK.
I love a good come up story
Interviews with the guys he already knows are the best.
Nick's highschool and childhood sounds like mine now, youngest of 5, short in highschool... I am Nick Kroll.
Should've called it Krollspace.
Such a good show - I love your style Paul!
I would MARRY Nick Kroll wow what a man.
SAME!!!!
Well done Paul! Subscribed.
The host on this plays the best character on comedy bang bang
This is brilliant!
nick ''troll'' show!!!! loved it.....
didnt mention the league once. that's odd that show was huge in 2013
Close ur eyes and it’s just nick in big mouth talking to mr peanut butter
"That was The Douche talking."
I find myself having a lot in common with comedians the more I watch interviews with them.
Great advice.
him and mulaney did the same thing looking at the wrong camera at the beginning 😭
It's amazing how Paul points out how Kroll characters are cartoonish and nowadays he's know for animated shows
"Do NOT look into my camera. .. You have your camer, I have Mine!" Ahem HAHAHAHA
Graduated from Georgetown (after Mike Birbiglia but before John Mulaney!).
i almost died laughing at 17:40
Oh! :-O Great idea! Paul interviews himself. :-D
I miss this show so, so, so much. Russel is great but PFT is so perfect for this show.
I was alright with Cavemen. It was the first thing that really made me like Nick Kroll.
Cavemen is one of my favourite show, it was brilliant.
You should do a Nick Offerman episode!!!
I think it’s easier to feel secure with yourself when your family is stinking rich as a kid
Literally here because of the brilliance of big mouth.
Kroll show is so hilarious
I wish I could find a compilation of PFT telling guests not to look into his camera.
You could make one
Oh god I’m so glad Krollsby Show didn’t fly
Nick Rules Kroll
Soooo good
I so totally agree with you, yo.
13:34 why I love him ❤️
“I got these big fattys”
Dead
What is this? A crossover episode?!
Wow this channel fucking rules. UA-cam actually gives a good algorithm recommendation!
Mr. PEANUTBUTTER and Hormone Monster ❤
inspiring stuff
good insight.
I love him
Paul F. really flexing that manicure
Cavemen was a good show!
I love you both
Please do one with Eric Andre!!
This guy gets a sub
So.. Rodney gonna win the Shiva bowl this season or?
Everyone calls him Ruxin!
nick show kroll was way funnier. cc producers have no concept of funny
Ok paul, paul is the name of two of my uncles. Don't look into my camera.
Holy shit this was funny
Holy shit that jacket is gangsta
I absolutely believed it at first.
It was a long hike to that last joke!
That don't look in my camera joke is plaaaayed
Shut your talk hole or typing garage Mr. Frenchman. You are a clown trying to wear a tiny tuxedo made for medium sized bears.
Your comment works really well for Paul F. Tompkins, so I'm going to proceed with the assumption you directed it toward him.
ciao
No. Ciao Bello.
Jonathan Convoy
There's no way you want me to close my beautiful talk hole, so I'm certain you meant that the bears are wearing large tuxedos or some other Russian Circus reference.
Jonathan Convoy That comment got me to laugh!!! A+ : D
Look how much more I drank... Go Rodney!
Kroll show season 2 woot
I'm a little upset they didn't even mention The League... smh.
Should've shown his vinegar strokes.
had cast member steve R been exposed yet for lying about 9/11? maybe that was why they agreed to not talk about that show.
I started talking like nick kroll
It's like no offense but I find that very interesting visa vie as well as
a boom guy is watching this, irate that kroll said sometimes actors dont need to listen to them
I love Paul's Jacket... kinda looks like a suit made love with one of bill cosby's sweaters and that's the baby
Let him eat cake!!!
Paul was a cop? Seriously, when is someone going to do an interview of PFT?
