i did this all by my selfe, as a starter...a friend of mine is teaching me how to make drawings, I wanted to suprice him with this one. Thanks for the good lesson!!
Great tutorial. I was wondering how did you know that the vertical line you drew to establish the second set of concentric circles was 65 units. It is not written in the diagram that appeared at the beginning of the tutorial. Thanks.
This video is excellent even for a starter to learn, Please make a video with min explanation of how to give measurement then how to give values for our objects how to use all tools It would be very helpful if u consider this comment and help us with ur knowledge of autocad Thank you
At the first glance, this detail is not dimensioned properly. One have to assume dimension 100 starts at the middle of top horizontal line. But assumptions are NOT allowed in the workshop, period. It should be 128 from the left side, thus you mark a vertical centre line. Instead of dim 65 it should be 193 from left to right, thus you determine the billet's length. Dims 12 and 48 are also assumed symmetrical. All in all, one should learn drafting (discipline) before learning AutoCAD (tool).Another thing, the tutor uses buttons on the ribbon to issue commands. This is indication the guy is a one-handed user and his productivity is 50% at best.
Hi Anatoli, I agree with what you said here but these are my concerns. A completely dimensioned drawings with proper GD&T symbols will confuse users to a great extent and in that case, for the half part of the video, I would have been forced to explain what those dimensions actually mean rather than explaining AutoCAD tools. Secondly, use of ribbon and panel is the obvious way of showing the tools/commands to users who are watching the screencast videos and if I start typing commands users will have to pause in between the videos several times to find out the command which I am using (I am saying this from experience). So to keep better user experience a simplified approach is used in this video and for drafting they can always refer to the respective manuals or ASME handbook.
Hi there, your ACAD tutorials are fantastic. Congratulations for this and thank you for producing these lessons. I cannot see how you can infer an offset distance of 65 units from the centre of the main set of concentric circles to locate the second set of concentric circles. It's not apparent to me just by inspecting the dimensions provided in the reference drawing.
Thanks John, Are you talking about the distance between center of larger circle in middle of geometry and end of shaft made on right of it? The distance is calculated by subtracting 128 from 193 these dimensions are present in the bottom of geometry in PDF attached with the drawing you can download its pdf from this page www.thesourcecad.com/projects/
Thank you for making this video, sir! But I also hope there's also a tutorial for GNACAD users like me, because it's really hard to do some of the activities given by our CAD professor, and most of my classmates are only using mobile phones.
hi great lesson but if you can explain how do you know that the distance between centre of the circle in the centre and the centre of the circle above is 65 if you can explain would be great thanks
Hi great tutorial! The only thing I'd like to ask and clarify is that how did you get the 65 distance @2:50. I can't seem to calculate the distance from center of circle to the other center of smaller circle as seen in the diagram @0:06.
Hello viewer I upload auto cad detail drawing on my channel name Architecture Details Diaries do visit once and have a look on my videos. If you like and learn from the video put one comment. Thanks
sir thank you for the video. I wonder if AutoCAD have smart dimension like solidwork have to define the distance 100 between the the right circle and the left rectangle. in this tutorial seems like I really need to start with rectangle, and not circle, else need more unnecessary line to measure 100 between the two
i think your drawing is incorrect. You didn't specify the dimension of R9 circle from main centreline. How did you use 65 vertical dimension from centre line for the centre for R9?
extra ordinary tutorial. please continue to upload videos like this. and upload video like this for solid work. i loved it and also subscribed our channel.
Thanks Nishit, we do keep SourCAD updated with new content. I don't work with Solidworks but I believe there must be many awesome channels on UA-cam which might help you with Solidworks related content :)

Dear Sir, I have a doubt please clear. You have taken the distance between the center circles and top circles as 65 (units). But it is not shown any where in the drawing (or might it may be missing). I know you had calculated it by any means but please explain. Thanks and Warm Regards Aash
Sir Very nice and impressive, Sir I want to draw this geometry with these same parameters and measurements, so, please allow me to use your geometry to be taught to my students from my channel (just for positive use only)

That dimension is not mentioned in the drawing which is included in the video but it is 65 units.

Yep, this tripped me up too!
God bless all the Indians making tutorials
Thanks, I knew nothing before watching this, now I know a lot.
Did my first drawing. very helpfull
Appreciate :)
Great Javid,, congratulations!
How did you know the second set of circles started at 65 up from the centre of the first set of circles?
Yes pls reply to this question
@@vishnuravi1977 Dou you have one mistike in picture.
yes, I think he should check on that, or else it could be that the original drawer made some mistakes after leaving out such an important dimension.
Thanks im a student of mexico that want learn autocad and helped me so much whit this tutorial👩💻
You are amazing . I was afraid of working on autocad . You made it so easy for me now .
