so, if you get that Q2 in a q3 box situation, call meta. tell them what happened. and provide the serial numbers that are on the box itself. they can use that to find the actual q3 that was supposed to be in that box and brick it like apple will with stolen phones.
and if you can proovide proof of purchase, they MIGHT be able to help you out with getting what you actually paid for
The broken quest 2 in the quest 3 box happened to me too, it was a shame. But I got the quest 3 in the end!

I got lucky when I got my quest 3 for $380 from someone who didn't really want one
I purchased a Quest 3 day of release from Best Buy and upon opening the box I noticed the SN on the box didn't match the headset. I opened the box in the parking lot, walked back inside and the employee acted as if I didn't just walk out of the store and told me my receipt has been tampered with. 😅. Wtf.

The full body tracking doesn't work when you're connected to a pc. You still need base stations and trackers on pc
The Quest 3 torso tracking needs to be programmed into the game, so pcvr games are unlikely to have it.

I got mine for $250 USD at my local walmart and love it, also picked up some extras for it and it does well for what it is. I have even showed off a few videos on my own channel on here so anyone can see what I see and all that stuff.
I've been waiting for the Quest 2.5/ 3 Lite to update my HMD, I just don't give a shit about gimmicky AR bullshit right now. AR for a hot minute will be similar to what VR has been for the last few years, tech demos showing off what it can do. We are finally starting to get games that are not just tech demos in the VR space and the 300 ducket price point suits me just fine for good VR without all the AR skite.

Bro, I wish I knew you in person I could have told you not to buy any Subaru between the years of 07 and 11. WXR is legit but those years are mechanical nightmares. My favorite Subaru I owned was 97 SVX, she was pearl white and could beat anything off the line.

If you keep going on about how cheap the headsets are, they will raise the price. Most likely on newer headsets in the future. Also they are probably going cheap as its a marketing way to get as many people into VR as possible.
