in response to the question as to when we'll be able to use fullbody tracking for something, a virtual desktop beta released this week that can convert the data from the quest 3 IOBT into "fake" vive trackers in order to use in vrchat (and possibly other steamvr games, but i haven't seen any examples of that yet)
I'm one of those people that wants better productivity apps in the Meta Quest. I never play VR games because motion sickness but I do love sitting on a mountain top churning out code.. if the Meta Quest had better rez it would be perfect for me.
at the end of the day you can still have the same amount of fun on any vr headset

I mean... I'd say the meta quest 3 is better then the apple vision pro by along shot. You can have hundreds of thousands of hours worth of game play with free games on the meta quest three but the apple vision pro is just a glorified Mac or iPhone that's strapped to your face
@@overdrive6963 Yes but the quest 3 is meant for gaming. The apple vision pro is meant for developers and productivity. For me personally, I would want the quest 3, but they are different headsets trying to do two different things.

There is a bug in Arizona Sunshine 2 on the Quest Pro after the most recent update. All firearms are positioned in the wrong direction meaning that if you aim in front of you they point at the sky.

ive used nothing but oculus products for years and im tired of it, every time a new headset releases my headset slowly goes to shit just like apple products.

Awful performance
Can't play certain games because of it
Joysticks straight up die
Controllers do the SOS thing
And in general the Q2 doesn't get any attention?

I just booted up my quest and it’s not letting me play anything and it’s saying generate device code but when ever I press it, it just says error. It’s weird because the app on my phone is logged in but it seems that my quest 2 has been logged out? Also I haven’t been able to do casting on my headset for awhile, maybe it’s a WiFi issue for the casting part but my headset won’t work.
Anyone know what the hell this is about?
I’m planning to buy a quest 2 and ngl it’s a hard decision cause I either keep saving and buy it or keep saving and don’t buy it and hope a quest lite comes out before I end up impulse buying something

id say wait as it is most likely going to be better than quest 2 at a similar price point as tech has evolved since the launch of q2
I'm baffled as why people will still buy the 2 when the 3 is out, my wife won't even touch the 2 since the 3 came out. Despite what you hear the experience is always better with newer stronger tech, quest 2 users are going to be furious when san Andreas vr gets announced as a quest 3 only title, as the headset has not one game that's optimized specifically for it, and would make much more sense as why a massive game like that would be better off with way more powerful hardware.

The Vision Pro vs meta quest thing is even more similar to PC vs Mac than you thought. The PC may be cheaper and can do everything pretty well + gaming very well, but the Mac is better at very certain things like video editing, music creation, photo editing, and photo editing. So the meta quest is pretty decent at doing everything + very good at gaming, but the Vision Pro is better at the productivity aspect and the ability to edit videos and photos and music straight off the headset. There’s a reason apple never said it was a VR headset, because everyone associated VR with gaming, which is NOT the purpose of the AVP.
Idk if anyone can anwser, i struggle to find a good comparison online. Assuming all i do is simracing on PCVR and that all features that dont directly apply to that dont matter to me, is the Neo Link 3 better than the quest 3? I feel like while i believe the quest 3 is massive over the quest 2, displayport instead of USB seems like a huge deal for pcvr. So, anyone tried both and could tel me, visually for pcvr, which one is the most clear picture?
I recently updated my quest 3 and now I don’t have access to my mods. After I updated it I went to download a mod for bonelab and it just wasn’t letting me do it, like I would go into cx file explorer and click data and it wouldn’t even show me my apps, I also tried to do the same thing on mobile vr station and that didn’t work either. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know. Also I can still use the mods I downloaded in the past, I just can’t delete them or add any more.

The quest 3 has roughly twice the performance of the quest 2 so games look better and run better on standalone
Quest 2 is still good and getting cheaper. For your first headset and if you do not have the money, get the Quest 2. Then, once you saved up enough, you can go to Quest 3. I would actually wait for the Quest 4. I have both and the augmented reality is not really all that great.

The new update caused audio issues to my headset during recording. I’m not only one having issues either. Several people are having it
I'll probably cover this if I see some other reports. I can't properly access Quest footage in editing software since the update. I think they changed some encoding settings. I've had to screen record all of my recent footage via windows movie player.

@5:47 that will never happen, i mean come on have you seen Meta's knock off vrchat and how poorly that did? Most of them are diverting focus to mobile MR setups. But the brightside is its increasing the demographic sizes so software developers might actually put more focus on VR. (outside of the typical unity indie devs who tack it on because the engine has native albeit janky VR support)
