I've just been reading the site headed "NordVPN has conducted an independent assurance engagement to confirm its no-logs statement. This audit verified NordVPN’s commitment to the privacy of our users for the fourth time." They were audited by Deloitte Audit Lithuania. Does this not refute your claim that VPN companies may comply with law enforcement demands for them to secretly keep logs?
I just buy vps, and set up own wireguard vpn + cloudflare dns. Almost no decrease in speed, and nothing logged, no captchas etc. Ping is also good (less than 50ms), as i always try to buy at vps places within 1000km or 600miles.
When you buy a VPS, your ownership of it is known to the VPS provider, so it isn't anonymous. Also, any datacenter IP still has the same problems of often being blocked or having to run through many CAPTCHAs
@@privacyproshop Ownership is not known if they allow you to buy it with crypto, and do not require to enter real name (which was in my case). Also on mine vps slash vpn, i never get captchas. Key is, use companies that use smaller datacenters.
That's a good way to go. Crypto, Monero in particular is what everyone should use for payments. Eventually they will figure out the smaller datacenter IP ranges, too...
I use unbound dns with vpn over dns enabled. With my external firewall box i can route particular traffic through a vpn without putting entire devices on the vpn. So only certain data is going to a vpn but the majority of my network is just regular internet traffic.
I didn't understand. How are you routing particular traffic like that? Is it based on packet headers? Are you targeting certain devices or certain apps within a device?
@@deltagamma1442 My Firewall box shows what domains and flows each device visits etc. So i can go into the route feature of the firewall box and say on my Nvidia Shield I have 3 IPTV subscriptions i use on it via Tivimate. If i know the host servers name i can tell the firewall box to route that specific traffic from that domain within the Tivimate app to a specific VPN. So i could route one subscription through a VPN server in Los Angeles. Another subscription on the same app to go through an Atlanta VPN etc. I could let the third subscription go through as regular traffic no vpn. I don’t have to split tunnel a vpn on my Shield between other installed apps. I am guessing other external firewalls can do this too but i have only used the one I have. So it is targeting certain data within an app on a device. I see all devices on my network and the traffic is broken down per device. Love it.

Very good. The only problem is that you would have to install 3rd party software to make it work. DNS over HTTPS (DoH) support is built into Windows and DNS over TLS (DoT) is part of the systemd-resolved service in Linux and Android supports DoT right out of the box. with DNScrypt you have to install another software to make it work.

When someone uses TOR you stick out from normal internet traffic like using a VPN. Does Lokinet look like normal traffic?
Lokinet traffic is UDP traffic that goes to a service node that is the first hop.

Shouldn't I know your Session id to contact you on Session? Writing privacy pro shop in the search bar didn't work.
Open Session, press the + button, choose new message, type in PrivacyProShop and click next and type your message

Opvn doesnt give out info. They were in the swedish court and asked to give out info, they refused.
But, you still have to trust them. Trustless is better.

Good video Tim(o) :) Are you Finnish? Terveisiä kuopiosta. I use DNS TLS and HTTPS and OpenVPN via my own server that is run inside a datacenter.

Privacy is myth bro
That you don't have the discipline nor knowledge to mask your data leaks, doesn't mean no one else does.
Privacy takes some effort.

Fair enough. I suppose as long as the third party software is free and open-source it shouldn't be an issue. @@privacyproshop
