Always known him as Mr. Fisher my history and Phycology teacher, just recently found out about his other passions regarding woodcarving and he has a really interesting way of explaining it, and some actually very impressive artwork. It would be sweet if he had a woodworking class.
My gosh the introductory music is so melancholy. I listened to it again after the presentation. Maybe it was particularly poignant because I realize, through this mans work, how late I am to the game (started at age 61 and I’m still 61). All the what if's. Maybe knowing that creating something that is distinctly “you” keeps a lot of us going. Or maybe simply enjoying the process.
I find some of these videos intimidating. There are so many wonderful carvers out there I’m ready to throw down my knives and walk away. But I don’t. It just inspires me to keep on making wood chips.
That was great!
This humble man, Dave Fisher, doesn't seem to realise what an inspiration he in fact is.
Top bloke!
MISTER DAVE! He was one of my high school teachers
Wow. I bet he was an awesome teacher. He can make anything sound interesting. Excellent communicator.
David Fisher is a treasure.
Captivating and inspiring. A true teacher

Going on his website makes me feel soo small, but I also realize what is possible. Thanks for this presentation.

Great presentation, thanks for sharing.
It’s really good to hear David speak on the inspiration he experiences and how that leads to the creative aspects in his pieces.

What an impressive human being.

I would say you look more like Sean Pegg than Daniel Craig. Good presentation.
