Since the altezza beams 3sge uses an A650e( almost same bellhousing as A340e), any chance of us seeing a 3s to cd009 adapter in the future? The market for a 3s rwd conversion is huge, and they are strong engines.
im sort of confused. I was under the impression that this was a full bolt on conversion for the mkiv supra ? i was about to purchase this kit thinking i just have to buy the conversion adapter and then transmission and driveshaft and bolt it up ?
I know it’s an older video, but not all CD009’s say “#2” on them.. I took a chance and found a guy selling an 05 G35 trans, I bought it for $250 with 90k miles. I knew it was an ‘05 off the vin. Contacted Concept Z, and they confirmed it was a 009 from the vin. Don’t always trust the numbers.. lol
So as for the 1UZ to CD009.. do you also have to cut the bellhousing? I don't get it anymore. First you have to cut it then you don't with the new adapter and now I find a video of you cutting it ? I'm confused.
Do you have similar kit for a FS5R30A transmission to go onto a small block Ford (Windsor)? Or alternatively an adapter for the factory Nissan bell housing to a small block Ford?
Great video guys. I'm about to start mine and was weighing up pulling out the grinder or the reciprocating saw. I think i will go the grinder method after watching this. Can I ask what a shiny new cd009 is worth?? I know for a used one around here they are going for a mint
saw a listing online... about $1700 US brand new from Nissan.... you can buy through Collins with the kit and have them cut and install if you want... all in the drop down options
Thanks for the reply, yea i see collins have listed them and will consider that for my next one. i think it will be the freight to NZ that will be the deal breaker. i just paid 2k ($1400 usd) for my used one
I'm just curious as to why if you were doing an LS swap You wouldn't just use a t56 instead of a CD 009? Is it cost or some other reason? Not hating whatsoever just genuinely curious.
forsure, yeah thats exactly it. it was reoccurring cost during racing and drifting. it was taking too long to get my T56 rebuilt and they are expensive from the get go. so a brand new CD00A was $1850 at the time and lasts for seasons.
Can someone please tell me what bell housing did my 95 supra automatic non turbo came with. I cannot find any clear answers everyone only talks about the is300, gs300, sc300 i would think its the same as sc300 but can't find an answer worth shit. J1, j2, j3?
collinsadapters.com/index.php/adapter-plates/nissan/rb26dett-rb25det-ka24de-to-350z-350zhr-370zransmission-adapter-plate.html will these adapters work backwards, as in will this adapter allow you to bolt a RB25 geartrak transmission to a vq35?
See I keep hearing different I've heard they put cd009s in 05 model years like late 04 production my g35 is a December of 04 but 05 model year. Noone knows the truth
Yes you can, purchase the system here: collinsadapters.com/swap-kits/rb20det-rb25det-rb26dett-engine/rb25-rb26-ka24de-to-350z-full-adaption-kit-australia.html
Good stuff bud. I'm loving the quality of my kit as well
I'd love to see a video of setting up the new style shifter relocation kit for the SC300 and the Supra.
Hey John, Yes potentially in the future.
Cool, If there's anyway I can help, like measurements etc let me know.
Could I buy a bell housing off you guys? I'm looking to do some mock up and a bell housing would be perfect for that

Yeah, we are thinking of this swap in the near future. Stay tuned to the website in 2018.

Do you guys have a drop in, ready to install kit for the 1992 SC400?
Why oh why didn't you cover the input shaft before you started grinding?
Do you have similar kit for a FS5R30A transmission to go onto a small block Ford (Windsor)? Or alternatively an adapter for the factory Nissan bell housing to a small block Ford?
Is the earlier design not as good?

I'm new to this but ive seen this trans bolted up without cut
How do you change the tail housing. I have a CD009 that someone altered dust cover by cutting it. Will the tail cover off my cd001 work?
Do you make a mount that would position the shifter right over the two bolt holes on the back of the trans behind the black plate?
Ever thought about cd009 to MB sl600 twin turbo v12 or any Mercedes engines
How are you guys wiring this up to a 2jz
Have any rwd options for the ej? I'm tried of breaking these rwd converted 5 speeds lol

Collin, is it possible to bolt a nissan diff to a nissan transmission for a rear engine conversion for a build i wanna do
I'm not sure, we haven't attempted that yet.
Do you have transmissions already set up for the rb swap?
Yes we do, check out this video here: ua-cam.com/video/cnzomYS70-U/v-deo.html&ab_channel=CollinsGarage
What is the best year for the transmission to use?? Thks
2005-2006 or brand new CD00A From Nissan
@@CollinsGarage_Crett_Bollins thks I looked all other adapters yours only one uses chev clutch
Will this adapter plate work on the Frontier Toploader 6 spd?
no, but we do have a VQ40 adapter here: collinsadapters.com/adapter-plates/nissan/vk56tovq40.html
Does anyone make a bell housing for CD009 to old Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac?
unfortunately not.

I have a 2010 infiniti g37s 6 speed manual transmission is it a cd009?
Is the "Intern" actually your son? lol Yay, free labor.
no, he was from our local University completing his BSME.
I thought your new kits doesn’t require the bell housing to be cut?
It does require the cutting of the bell housing, only because of the fitment of the 350Z bell housing is so big!
You guys forgot ear protection ahahahah, my ears are ringing
These kits are outrageously expensive
but the trans is dirt cheap
anyone use this on a mk3 supra?
Normalize the volume between the voice and the music,JHFC!!
See I keep hearing different I've heard they put cd009s in 05 model years like late 04 production my g35 is a December of 04 but 05 model year. Noone knows the truth
They did not come in 2004 models, they are half way through 05'-06' until they went to the internal slave systems for 07'-08'
Hmmm
Your transmission is AZZ😂😂😂
Can i use this kit on a ka24de?
