    Whoever designed those cameras to have back up batteries had some serious foresight. Good on them

      Many consumer grade security cameras these day only use batteries, for easy installation. The disadvantage is they only record when there’s motion, so that the batteries last longer. But that’s generally fine for home use.

      As for the specific brand and maker. It doesn't matter. Check for those features when you buy, but don't buy it from Ali Express, Temu, or other such nonsense sites, unless you're well versed in tech.

      I never trust any story when it comes to politics and big money at stake. Police arn't above planting evidence and our CIA and FBI arn't above threatening people or their families to the point of admitting guilt. We will never really know unless someone invents a time machine. Linda knew the kind of people exist, and she also was a real god-fearing woman with principles that would have been a threat and liability to DC and her powerful ex. She went to extreme measures with her security because. With AI and the current state of no transparency in the justice system, I think we're at the beginning of never knowing what is really true. I do know it's very convenient to have a nobody blamed, and it's also a bit bizarre these stories...even if true...are blasted over the airwaves while the JFK files and Epsteins tapes will remain indefinitely under lock and key, with ne'er a peep from our media. The world is much stranger than we would like to believe, and people are conspiratorial by nature..especially at the top.

    • @laserpanda94
      @laserpanda94 2 місяці тому

      @@SleepySG 'Explore With Us' comes across as desperate to look and sound like professional journalism while failing to understand basic journalistic principles. My personal opinion is that they seem amateurish to the extent that it puts me off watching their videos. I don't usually have a problem with amateur production but I find it grating when it's coupled with an attempt to pass off as professional.
      For example, they often make assumptions about how events unfolded or what the people involved were thinking and present them as facts, which is one of the most fundamental errors you can make when reporting on real events. They will describe in (made up) detail how a victim was attacked and what thoughts/emotions they were experiencing in dramatic, specific and authoritative fashion even though the details were never uncovered and there's no way of knowing what somebody was thinking or feeling without them telling you. They don't present it as speculation, consideration or hypothesis; they report it as if it were factual information.
      They also have a tendency to editorialise that is at odds with the supposedly neutral fact-based documentary style they project and their 'professional analysis' of interrogations is an absolute joke ("The suspect is showing signs of guilt by having their hands in their lap, although this is also common body language for people who are _not_ guilty" - that kind of thing).
      Personally, I also really dislike the 'moment's silence for the victim' thing they do in their videos although I may well be in the minority there. It's not that I don't care about victims, it just seems tacky and unnecessary and contributes to the feeling of 'an amateur's idea of what professional is'. But hey, people in the comments seem to think it's the epitome of class so what do I know...
      Wow. I didn't realise how much that channel annoyed me until now. Excuse my ranting :)

    Never change your format or style StayAwake. Your non-dramatised, understated delivery is excellent, & instantly engaging.
    You allow the story to unfold in real time, with flawless editing between body cam, audio, personal video etc.
    And you’re especially to be commended on how you consistently offer a three dimensional view of the person to be victimised. The people featured in your videos are never reduced to merely being The Victim.
    We have a brief opportunity to get to ‘meet’ them. You always deliver other elements to a persons life, such as addiction or prostitution, with sensitivity, allowing the person to maintain a quiet dignity.
    Thank you for introducing us to Linda, and her beloved children.
    Such a senseless act.
    I absolutely believe that Linda had reason to fear her ex- The cameras alone are evidence of that, in addition to the consistent story from her own children & those closest to Linda.

      He denied even knowing about Linda being sick with Mercury poisoning. That's a lie.

      @@scarletamazon3455 yes. When people go through nasty divorces, things can turn ugly. BUT to flat out say he did it, isn’t and wasn’t okay. No matter what your parents go through stay out of it. Women and men lie, so everything he was accused of could’ve been out of spite from their mom. You’re innocent until proven guilty. Not, guilty because mom said you hit her. That’s not fair.

    Can I just mention how sweet the dispatch operator was…..calling him Honey etc. I’m from the Scottish highlands and I adore the way folk from the south east of the USA talk…..it’s so warm and the accent is adorable.

    I’m English and have to say I love the way the folk there speak to each other. Honey , darlin, etc… I wish all people spoke to strangers with such compassion… it melts my heart to hear that female operator talk.

      I'm on the East coast of Canada and locals speak this way. It's very friendly, it's very home, it's like anybody could be your best bud. We have a lot of Canadians from further West coming this way now but they're just a different breed. A little colder, a little busier, they expect things a little quicker. I hope they learn to live a more East coast life style bc the alternative is the East coast becomes as boring and uniform as the Alberta or Ontario and I tell ya darling, I'm just not interested in that 😂

      It’s not really an endearment to use those words when speaking in this way, more like a cultural force of habit than anything.

    • @bluedistortions
      @bluedistortions 11 місяців тому +5

      @@islandyytit's not a cultural habit. My wife is South African, and has spent time in England, while I am from the South of the US, and she was astonished when I called my bank from South Africa. She couldn't believe people like us existed. It's not the words used, it's caring about other people, as people, and she was shocked to overhear how we as strangers interact. That's the culture I was raised in.

    boys when i tell you this is my FAVORITE youtube channel my god!!!!!!!!
    i never leave comments but i just had to say something!
    Thank you for the time you put into these man seriously, the editing, the music, i was on the edge of my seat the whole time! I feel like true crime channels have lost their touch with tasteless jokes, senseless comedy or hell, even eating or doing makeup like we’re conversing about tomorrow’s plans.
    i love how this channel talks about things from a respectful and neutral perspective, undeniably appreciative over here
