I like the campaign and don't play sandbox. The concept of a clear endgame is very important to me. Plus the added family members means after about 4 years I have 3 family members married for a total of 7 family members before children.
One other major difference not mentioned is achievements are turned off in Sandbox mode. I do not play with mods. As soon as I started a campaign, I started unlocking acheivements.

My camp char is 83, still alive. I seen 2 ladys who were 100 and 111. My family is huge..60+ with 10 companions. Me+bros....kids are not producing and all 35-50 now. I just started checking out mods like diplomacy as the constant war has become boring. Realistic weather is a cool mod too imo.
I'm currently enjoying *sandbox* but having coin is ridiculous early on. I've spent many days, even weeks hording cash from fighting. 250 x 26, can only last you so long. Now planning on buying a workshop, in Sargot. Came across head-armour helm, 55,000 coins. Jesus.
early game I stay in khzuait land as 1 bandit has the potential of making 3k-20k depending on quests and loot. then after day 100 run caravans so by day 250 or so I have 300k-500k on me and it's time to get rich as a merc. And that is vanilla
How difficult it is to make money in M&B (all of them - Base 1, Warband, F&S, Warband mods, Bannerlord vanilla, Bannerlord modded base game, Bannerlord overhaul mods) is extremely dependent on your own personal skill at the games, and how knowledgeable you are about the games. My most recent campaign had made about ~8M by day 90. But it's also the kind of campaign that I know most people aren't capable of - Soloing castles, taking on armies of 600 with a force of about 50, etc. - All with so few casualties and damage taken that you don't have to worry about resting at all. That said, I genuinely don't think I've ever taken more than 150-200 days to become a king/maxed out type of character, even when doing "commander" type playthroughs where I largely don't fight at all aside from the early game looter soloing with a bow. One issue I see a LOT of people run into when it comes to progressing in M&B is being way too afraid to participate in battles where you'll likely lose most of your forces, and being way too scared of making an enemy of a faction. Most caravans in Bannerlord only have 40-50 troops defending them. It is INCREDIBLY easy to get a cavalry force that can completely steamroll this by like day 10-20, depending on where/how you start. If you target something like Batannia, that generally has lightly armored troops, you can completely decimate most of their smaller parties, until you get enough renown, money and equipment to go solo a castle somewhere.
In my opinion the key to have money early on is to keep your party size up to your needs and not your max limit. Hunt bandits? Keep it around ten. Protect caravan quests? Keep it just enough to be able to do this. If you bloat your party or make multiple parties, it may be not wise and stressing.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I always thought if your character dies and you have no heir, your wife would become the new clan leader? So realistically making an older character wouldn't matter as much, as even if you die and your oldest child is say 14, you would become your wife

When you say it isn't imperative to finish the main questline on campaign, what exactly do you mean? For instance, say you've started the "Conspiracy" quests... you could still just decide to ignore it without the game punishing you horrifically? 😂 Any advice more than appreciated. I'm on my first lengthy campaign and these endless repetitive missions are killing me man!
if you dont start your kingdom with the quest before the days runs out it just times out and you continue normally. But if you progress it, there is something that happens
I'm just curious, does sandbox and campaign have different economies? I seem, to have a harder time making money via shops and caravans in sandbox vs campaign. However, I am newer so maybe I'm doing something wrong.
My Character lived until he was 98 in my first play through. Lol. By that point i wanted him to die, felt weird going into battle after he turned 80 lol.

Still giving to the world and offspring but not going to impersonate them...Maybe just saving at that point and another time continuing from that point (maybe, but not immediately after the end of the main character so to separate the experience just had). I think many "burn out" in this game because they keep playing infinitely the same thing and that must be boring FOR SURE. It's better knowing at some point it will end. And I don't understand.. one will not reach those attributes or what they are called as, that give you cheat death(once) and other things like health advice if you are starting at 20 years old? So you gonna have a very long life and then u close it there... 20 up to 60 years old.. it's very long as I heard 7 years is around 60 h gameplay .. which means 350 h gameplay... a lot to achieve anything.

I might try this. I’ll make a new male character. I’m not too far into my current new game. Smithing is really annoying, and that’s all I have pretty much done or tried to do so far. Do you the if having a male versus a female character at age 30-40 the difference in the challenge to get pregnant is? Is it harder. Does it matter as long as my male or female spouse is young and I’m old? What I’m trying to ask is….Is it harder for an old female to get pregnant or is it harder for an old man to get someone else pregnant? Or is it the same so long as your spouse is young?
someone had the % in discord but I can't find the post and wish I had pinned it. the % drops fast. The only age that matters is the female. She stops at 45.
The dynastic/multi-generational aspect of this game has to be the most underdeveoped and disappointing features for me. It takes so astronomically long for age to have an effect that it just never becomes a factor. Not sure why they bothered adding it at all, honestly. There used to be a mod for it called pacemaker but it was abandoned. Then someone made a new version called TimeLord but it was also abandoned. Then someone made TimeLordLegacy but then a new update completely broke it and the author hasn't been able to fix it. It feels like Taleworlds don't actually want us to be able to play that way. It was just a feature they wanted to add for advertising purposes but never actually flesh out -.-
Coming from Warband, i really prefer sandbox Its that nice "Your own adventure" style that i like And i hate that timer, dear god that timer even if it doesnt do anything i hate it
So the campaign has family ... ok but the quests, the endings, are all these things not important... I don't understand how people reason anymore. it's like everyone was on purpose agreeing to say.. just forgetabout the story... guys you are tempting me to ditch totally the story!
Vlandia= represented Normans West Empire= represented Byzantine Empire If I was on PC, I'd go in and mod all names. Increase pot from tournament, gladiator fights, and reduce troop count in armies. I'm on PS5 it's ridiculous. I went on a battle spree had less than 60 men in my command vs. 165 Ha!! I fought till they had 40 but, the toll on injuries and Health took me out. My Vladian Crossbowmen died in courageous valor. They killed my army. Was taken prisoner, and escaped without money and items, lost all 59 horses + 5 mules. It's unforgiving. Relentless madness. It's just horrible on ps5, they should have revised their pc platform version, but toned it down considerably for consoles.
console needed an early access period. Before it was released I said on my channel it was a big mistake you all weren't going to know how bad it would be for you. I do honestly feel bad for you guys

I love diplomacy for that, minimum time for war and minimum time till war can be declared again.

What about starting as a female character in sandbox, and starting older? Doesn't fertility drop with age, and stop completely at a certain age?

Campaign is only good for beginners so they can learn the mechanics and lore of the game. No reason to play it a second time at all.

I dont think they do but 1.0.3 is very different to 1.1.0 as the devs know the newest patch has major economy issues
