In the "campaign" mode you don't have to follow the main quest either: The first part of the quest, which is gaining money and reaching clan tier 1 or 2 (depending on your version of the game), is something that happens eventually. You don't have to focus on it. The second part of the main quest is completely optinal, as you can create your kingdom by reaching clan tier 4 without any restrictions. The Dragon Banner facilitates this process, but it is not required to create your own kingdom. I don't know where this myth comes from. -.- As I stated in my own review of this update, the only difference between the campaign and the sandbox mode is that there is no tutorial and no family, but you can start at a young age to find yourself a spouse before you die. ^^
@kenshi jin Of course the sandbox mode is the most fun of the four modes (campaign, sandbox, custom battle, multiplayer). In this I agree with you. Now there are more differences between campaign and sandbox, but when I wrote the original comment the differences were few - almost none. Now the character creation is different, but 8 months ago this was not the case. It was planned and partially available in the Beta version, but not part of the standard early access gameplay.
it would be cool if you still assemble the dragon banner in sandbox purely for roleplay after all sandbox is for roleplay. maybe you can randomly find a dragon banner piece without the main quest.
i have to turn the volume to max to even understand half u were saying, but anyway thanks for update. i took 1/2 month break now is time to dive in again :D
i got this game yesterday after playing m&b warband on ps4 for 2 years,im about 2 hours in,just got all the controls maped on my controler because im just used to playing it on controller not mouse and keyboard..great game so far...
there's no reason to play campaign mode at the moment, cause the story is incomplete. Sandbox is the way to go, though it's much harder to start as you're by yourself with zero handholding in the start to get you moving, but if you know what you're doing it's the preferred way.
Unless he gets married to the Queen, as what happened in my last campaign. 😅 Rather twisted decision by the cpu, and it was offered on behalf of the cpu. Gross because ... I was already married to Ira. 😅😅
Do u still need to do tones of quest to become a king in sandbox mode or should i download some sort of mod to establish my own kingdom? Because i know u needed to download warband to become a king because in a basic game u couldnt Is this still like this here in sandbox?
You can become king in warband without mods. Also the requirement for starting a kingdom in bannerlord is a feif (a castle or town) and I think clan tier 4 or 5
No quest! :D You still need to become Clan Tier 4 - but no more needing to run around the world speaking to 10 random people who always seem to hide from you xD
@@DomsRoundtable thats actually quite easy to do at the start of the game. 8 of those 10 people are all quite close together at the beginning of the game so hunting them down takes maybe a few ingame days. rhagaea is close to your start postion, garios is at war weith battania so passing him on the way, then caladog ergeon in battania, after that head north were vlandia and sturgia are fighting. should be able to check of 7 or 8 right at the start of the game
You forgot to mention the fact that in sandbox mode. You can literally push a button that says harm all Enemies definitely come in the clutch.😂 I straight. Ened that with everybody when I was well over a million dollars
We are currently doing Sandbox playthrough over on Twitch actually! As always I'm imposing even MORE restrictions on myself, and we're doing a Sturgia-Only, Realism playthrough - The Khuzait are tough, but we're pushing them back slowly ;D
Hey Dom, when i start playing and disable death a pop up windows comes when i move the character for the first time with option Yes and No, do you get that ?
Open the steam "app" (the program on your PC), click on "library", right click on Bannerlord, click on properties. There you'll find the option to "verify your game files". Click on it, wait until the process is finished and start Bannerlord. This should have "repaired" and updated your game to the latest version.

I like campaign, because I like having family members, really the only reason I prefer campaign mode.

Domtastic can you make video and try to get biggest party possible in game so people can see how to do it i hear that u can have 500 warriors max

You're probably not on beta 1.5.9, you'll need to update the game to that version.
