- A common problem with the Nissan Pathfinder water heater hose assembly. breaks and leaks in engine compartment. A simple collision could cause it to split.
I broke mine in the same spot. Can I use a Dorman Hose 626-610?
Psss. Not paying $250. Luckily I'm a plumber and made my own. Few copper fittings, silver solder, brass fittings adapters and 6ft of ¾ hose. Do not Flux braze! You have to hot braze (Silver solder).
why not install the all metal upgrade hose assembly instead of the plastic assembly?
That’s the one I bought. No need for the oem one. Stupid to buy it again in my opinon
Where can I find that?
I'm having this issue and having problems finding the parts I need.
Mine is a 2010 with rear heat
I'm confused. Aren't these videos supposed to provide some sort of assistance or explanation for us inexperienced auto mechanics??
No lift needed. I put the metal upgrade one I and for 150 dollars why not since I found it to be 50 plus dollars cheaper. I did the install and replace in my driveway.
I wish Nissan thought about the plastics being introduced to heat cycling from the hot engine bay, in order to prevent this with an all metal assembly.
Which one did you get?
Why do you need to replace the whole line just for a 6 inch tube?
Not OP and also a month late, but the hose doesn't snap, the plastic nipple you clamp the hose on to breaks. So there is no where to reattach the hose. Need a new assembly to replace that broken T thing.
I have a 2008, but mine has a pressure relief that will spew out. Any access coolant is the pressure gets too high. It has a rubber cap that has cracked and now I can’t keep coolant in smh
I have a question for any mechanics who can help me with a 96 Nissan Pathfinder that I have it's got the 3.3 V6 after several weeks of seeing an antifreeze leak towards the back of the engine I wasn't exactly sure where it was coming from. However, I finally discovered the leak today 3/14/23 coming from the heater core hoses. Heater core itself is ok. The hoses coming from the firewall aren't leaking from that spot. If a person follows the hoses along the firewall behind the passenger side valve cover is where the leak is. I can see the Y hose coming from the firewall but my ? Is...where does the other hose connect to? Almost looks like it goes down to the intake manifold? Any mechanics able to help me out, thankyou ahead of time.
Where Did You Buy The part from?
