That's not even a question. NO!!! DO NOT tow with your Bronco. It's an offroad SUV. Get a truck if you need to tow. Half tons aren't even meant to tow constantly. Even 2k lbs. Get a 3/4 ton minimum if you need to tow anything.
If someone can afford a $60k 2 door bronco as their toy, they can also probably afford a designated tow vehicle. Extremely short wheelbase and soft suspension aint it…
My Jeep gladiator pulls it just fine and it doesn’t know if his dive twist when you turn really strong platform with that solid axle up for it maybe they should’ve stole that
……it’s 2k lbs….. that’s like Mickey Mouse weight for a full size truck…🤦🏽♂️ my Yamaha VX cruiser and trailer with a full tank is exactly 1,100 lbs and my 2018 F-150 5.0, crew, 3:55 doesn’t even know it’s there
Ford made a mistake in keeping the towing so low. I know they just wanted to emulate the Wrangler (which I daily drive, and also only has a 3500 lb max towing ability), but similar vehicles like the 4Runner (or hell, even a new Pathfinder) can tow at least 5000 lbs. I know it's an off roader and not a towing vehicle, but the ability to tow at least a small (22' or so) camper would be nice. With current tow limits you're really just limited to pop ups only.
Understandable, it would just be nice if your off roader could also pull a pontoon boat and trailer, you know? I know you can't expect a vehicle to "do it all" but it would be nice not to have to have a separate tow vehicle just to pull a small camper or a big boat.
It is pretty crazy to think that the LR Defender 90 (a vehicle with similar dimensions and wheelbase to the Bronco) has a tow rating of like 7700lbs. Air suspension likely helps, but that's still a crazy heavy load for such a short vehicle.
It may be a liability thing as well. The more technology we install in vehicles the further we can push their capabilities but the physics never change. Larger tow vehicles with smaller loads are more forgiving if the driver makes a mistake, larger loads with smaller tow vehicles are an accident waiting for a place to happen when the driver is inexperienced or the conditions are not ideal.
If your vehicle doesn't come with a hitch standard it's not a tow vehicle

Broncos that come with a tow package have a program on the dash for trailer controle and other functions.also on the sports.

Wrangler is cool but low tech in every way compared to Bronco. Always love Jeeps but been Bronco fan since 10yrs old. My '23 Bronco is ordered!
Been towing two four wheelers in an enclosed trailer for years with lifted 08 wrangler on 35s not a problem

I agree, but most people who buy these are probably looking to pull small teardrops in the 2000 lb range

@@backwoodstherapy good point. My FJ is rated to 5k but I never go over two; short wheel base kills it and Bronco. I have a Tundra for the big stuff.

We did it with the old bronco all the time
...so, not good to tow a 4k lbs camper.
