Good thing Andrey didn't check the payload rating sticker in the door jamb! ;-)
If I spent the money they're charging for the Bronco, I'd be living IN the Bronco.
I’d love an electric one w solar roof.
100%
🎤 drop lol
Still less expensive than an f150. Never pay MSRP for a vehicle. All kinds of deals, discounts, and rebates
@@dbeardsley0 lol ford offers no deals; discounts are rebates on the bronco
I don't think the bronco is meant to tow that much weight. That trailer is about 4000 pounds empty.
Dry weight is 4300 🤦♂️
@@tinshield 3250 dry. we take them to the scales before delivery.
When the owner said that the rear end would have been riding on the tires without the lift, well, that should have been a lightbulb moment.
Not sure how towing a 4,000 lb trailer with a Bronco that's rated for 3500 lbs can be good for the longevity of the vehicle, and I'm surprised TFL didn't call that out, as they are usually sticklers on tow capacity. Something to keep in mind for anyone else thinking about this combo.
It looks overloaded, too. I'm sure that squatting in the back was a treat for oncoming drivers getting blinded by the headlights at night.
I’m sure the payload on the vehicle is exceeded with the tongue weight and all the equipment onboard.
Yes, Andrey either forgot or more likely chose not to show the payload rating sticker. He knew he was looking at a rig carrying too much, especially when the guy was carrying four adults in addition to what we see here.
They just want the views. They don't care about all that stuff that they usually pretend to care so much about
Ok, Karens.
This a hard core camping setup. For just couple/single camping, I'd leave the trailer at home and get one of many sizes of QUICK CLAM type tents and kit out the Bronco. Could go way deeper into the brush and still have lots of amenities.
You wouldn’t be doing that after the first real storm 😂
ALways learned on long trips... "bring less stuff with me"
Those Conqueror trailers are no joke! Especially that 490. Been wanting one for years. Great video!
Excellent interview and quite the testimonial to the Bronco!
At 6'7 I don't know how he fit in the Jeep. Tommy barely fits in the Jeep. I would have got the F-150 Tremor at his hight..
What Jeep?
@@tazeat he had a jeep that he traded in on the camper. Watch the review lol
HOLY SHIT THAT CHAIR!!! That thing is so freaking cool
The UEV-490 is one of THE best offroad trailers in the World. However, like many folks have already stated, the Bronco is NOT the vehicle to use with it. It's a shame that people do this and never get caught until they are involved in an accident where people and property have been damaged.
For 53k it ought to be
You get many like the Conqueror in Australia. It is called a Campertrailer here
The UEV-490 looks like it would be perfect for a Colorado ZR2. Fully loaded that most likely weighs the same as my Winnebago 2100BH which is just under 4k lbs fully loaded.
@@VetBodGaming shut up Kyle
Other than the allure of camping in the wilderness, I think I’d rather stay in motels when traveling across the country. Especially since you could spend about 600 nights in hotels for the price of the camper, not counting saving gas money without towing. Also, towing is a pain and you can’t drive as fast.
With a camper home is where the heart is, meaning wherever your heart desires, anytime any place. To some that’s priceless. Sincerely, somebody who could never afford a camper.
What a great point. Camper trailers are over rated. Especially offroad ones
I sold my offroad camper and regretted it. Motels are disgusting, sleeping in other peoples filth. Boondocking in the backcountry is priceless!
@@foellerd good luck getting that camper anywhere that isn’t on a well maintajned road. I’ve stayed at Airbnb’s this rig wouldn’t make it up the driveway to.
Pretty cool setup. Kind of crazy to think that's about $110-$130,000 dollars sitting there but hey you only live once might as well enjoy it. I wonder if you have to take the entire roof rack off to take the soft top off of the Bronco? That would really suck.
The rack unbolts at the front and will hinge at the back, so its not impossible to do but is easier with a friend.
I'm really interested in the Gobi rack for my Badlands, glad to see one in use on the soft top.
We just got back from Alaska as well ...towing a 35ft bunkhouse travel travel, pulled by our 1 ton GM extended passenger van. We went all over Alaska, up mountain roads, partially up the Demster hwy, and boondooked all over back roads, setting up in under 10 minutes.
To each their own, but I still don't know why some folks buy overpriced equipment just to use in a grossly overweight, unsafe manner. For a fraction of the cost, a traditional truck-trailer setup could have allowed for much quicker camp setups/takedowns and provided significantly more cargo carrying capacity for the rig, all without putting the road sharing public in danger.
I read another comment on how the owner spent $60k on the trailer, yet avoided the measly $13 for a cat scale weigh. LoL Best comment that perfectly summed up this entire video.
Ford is on a roll. Bronco, lightning, Maverick, Raptor, Mach E
All with positive reviews
Except the recalls and so so unreliable!
😂
Slightly overloading a truck a few times here or there isn't the end of the world, but idk about promoting pushing a vehicle way past its GVWR for multi-thousand mile trips like that. I feel bad for whomever buys that Bronco from him. He's overloading that thing like crazy for extended periods of time, and I guarantee it will eventually develop issues with components on the suspension, differential, joints, bearings, transmission, and anything else that has to cope with all that weight. He honestly should've spec'd out a 4Runner with a little more tow capacity or just went full size with a Sequoia, Tahoe, Expedition, etc.
Regarding your recommendation that the guest should have went with a 4Runner instead of that Bronco to haul the trailer and all that gear; the towing capacity of a 2022 4Runner is only 5000 lbs. I promise you that UEV-490 sits as-is in this video at least 5200 lbs. That alone should be enough to stay away from the 4Runner, but to add salt for fun, the payload is approximately 1700 lbs. Subtract the 520 lbs for the tongue weight, and another 500 lbs for the hubby and wife, now you have 700 lbs of payload left, which has been fully used by the gear on top of and inside of the Bronco. So, forget about using a 4Runner in this scenario. I agree with you 100% that a full-size truck or SUV is the ONLY way to safely tow that much trailer and gear.
We can't offroad in europe the way you do but damn, have have so much better towing abilities for smaller vehicles.
Toyota hilux is considered a mid-size in the US and that tows 7700 pounds and can carry ~2000-2200 pounds.
As we don't have the same rules regarding tongue weight a 5000 pounds trailer only pushes about 200-275 pounds on the hitch.
Reliability is there.
Offroad-ability, check with a 1-2" lift.
Or an F150 crew cab.
Very cool. Never seen that trailer before, it looks incredible.
Nice build out good job.
Andre ur Truck is all epic in the background.
This guy's the new age Griswold family vacation...lol. We need to see a tree with the root on top come this Christmas
Looks like 3,499 pounds to me.
Thanks for sharing your setup.
And he tuned it; just the thing to keep your engine and drive train alive. And to make sure Ford will not honor any warranty claim on those parts
Hey guys, uh, where has Nathan been?
nice gobi rack. Would love a review on it
Boggles my mind how you can just have that kind of money to buy these things and then just go travel? The trailer setup is awesome thou! I agree with everyone else thou, too much weight to be pulling behind that Bronco.
A lot of people nowadays work remotely. Even more now after covid.
When Andre asked "anything you would different"? I think he was expecting a weight reduction comment. Nope. Andre suggested a rooftop tent. Safety first, for all road users. Offroad you need less weight for the safety. That Bronco is working overtime especially on trails & washboard roads.
Very nice Bronco with trailer setup 👌
Nice setup, definitely a nod to the owner. I have to agree with many and mention the vehicle appears overloaded. Not the best choice for Towing and loaded to the max.
This Bronco seems way overloaded. The trailer, by itself, fully loaded is close to 5,000 pounds!
All that money hope he spent $13 at the Cat Scale
lol but probaby not or he wouldn't be loaded that much!
Love to hear more about the SumoSprings. How well they worked. What tongue weight he has with his rig etc. I'm looking to tow a ski boat and curious how this set up might work.
What about those upgraded springs? How do they technically affect the tow capabilities?
Nice set up. Glad somebody can afford it!
Better sell it soon... the Bronco has about 1,000 miles left before the engine blows.
That whole setup is awesome! I can't believe how expensive that trailer is, though -- $60K?!! I guess I just don't know much about trailers, because I had $25-$30K in my head when I was looking at it.
4:00 you added a lot of weight 😂😂😂😂
Very nice righ
$130k setup …. Dang ! But he picked the wrong truck size to haul his $60K fancy trailer. I would pick a 1/2 ton truck. Something like Ford F150. Raptor V6 ecoboost.
Wow that trailer must be around 5000 lbs. He’s got that Bronco on the limit. Just got to be extra careful driving I suppose.
I see that trailer on tfl futire
Finally someone taller than Andre.
Nice 👍
I spy Andre’s Powerboost in the background leveled and with bigger tires. ….or are my eyes playing games?
I say this with all respect, but I am actually very very surprised that truck did not break down on you in that first 9,000 miles. The amount of recalls and total engine failure issues is absolutely unheard of with the new Ford Bronco.
Lol idk about that. The new bronco seems pretty reliable so far. Only a few issues with the larger engine
@@birthdayguy9mfm868 Around 60 engine failures out of tens of thousands?
That's because the internet is filled with hot air, anecdotes and armchair testers. In reality, the reliability issues are being blown out proportion, just like with so many other vehicles we see. The Tundra Turbo V6 is another good example. If all you did was read comments online, you'd think all cars were undriveable.
First of all there are no recalls on Bronco , the engine failures were due to bad batch of valves in 2021 which has been fixed , go join some Bronco groups you won't see any posts related to engine
@@amazingjason455 Every Ford Bronco is being recalled that has been sold, so what you really should be saying is 60 have failed so far Ford is expecting a lot more.
Article after article and video after video about it. I only know about it because I was going to buy one and was doing research on the vehicle. Now, at this point I am going to wait another 1-2 years
I wanna know how this guy spends 120gs and can not work for weeks
Perhaps an excellent job, disciplined savings over who knows how many years, and the ability to work remotely.
Passive income, savings, remote working, going into debt, or some combination of all of that.
That truck has a 3500lb towing capacity which means anything over 3000 is pushing it. This trailer is 3800 dry. This is a disaster waiting to happen.
every part of the rig is perfect
The huge camper is just complete over kill for a Bronco. Just get a F150
Man that Bronco sags badly in the rear with that camper .. i put a trailer on my jeep it bearly sags at all.. man they need to do something about them rear springs , they sag a little with no trailer just sitting in the showroom..
THAT TRAILER COST MORE THAN MY BRONCO BADLANDS 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Can u open the rear gate with the trailer hitched?
they dont have locks?
Josh is taller than Andre!
4runner tows 5k lbs and reliable
The rear end of that Bronco is clinging on for dear life.... yikes
Jeep Wranglers are very exhausting and uncomfortable to drive for big and tall drivers. Wonder if they’ll ever address this?
60k wow . No hate, Wish I could afford that
I bet that is easily 1000 lbs overweight and with the stuff on the roof, forget about it
Way more than 1000 lol
There is a Toyota Sienna in my neighborhood with more stuff on the roof rack and more stuff inside. Instead of a trailer, it has a couple of Target baskets kept nearby for overflow stuff. It moves half a block every couple days.
🤣🤦♂️sounds about right
This is an interesting set up, but this Bronco is seriously overloaded. That trailer is about 4,000 lbs gross weight, but it’s a bit overloaded and front heavy, so it’s got maybe 500 lbs on the hitch,,,, YIKES. He was comfortable with it though, so,,,,,,.
Then says he paid the equivalent of $55,000 trading in his Wrangler Rubicon. Because there’s 20 minutes work to set up the trailer each time, he says he will leave it at home for short trips?? I would be using the h*ll out of that d*mn trailer. No way I’m sleeping out of a Bronco, or on a swaying rocking Rod Top Tent. I’m sure he will buy a quality tent so he won’t have the issues with the wind many have, but it’s a really tall unit if the winds come up. We were camping last fall and had 125 kph/80 mph winds. I was in a full size truck with a small Rayzr truck camper in it and had to move my truck to face into the wind!! That camper doesn’t even have an overhang on top of the roof of the truck!! RTTs,,,,, ughhhh. He could be so much more comfortable with the trailer. It won’t limit where he can go as it’s as capable as the Bronco (essentially).
It’s his and he can use it as he likes, he knows what he wants. I just couldn’t leave a $55,000 trailer sitting while I’m out camping without it? $71,500 CAD.
We have a really expensive class B van that is comparatively expensive to this trailer. Its a Mercedes 4x4 van with a Thor conversion the 19P. It’s such that I’m thinking of selling my F150 Tremor and the Rayzr camper and only driving and using the van full time. My wife doesn’t want to put all this kms on it, but I explained it doesn’t matter, it’s a diesel and there are examples out there of commercial units with 500,000 miles/800,000 kms on them! Same logic, but it’s actually purchased by my wife!! Hahaha. She has the final say. She is bending,,,,,,,, hahaha. It’s a very comfortable unit and can tow my enclosed trailer with all my fishing gear and small 10 ft Jon boat, or the 20 ft pontoon, or the Lund 1775. It does everything I would ask of the truck and if I need to haul things I have some classic trucks I can use and a couple of utility trailers I can use to haul.
Is this the 2.3 or 2.7? Assuming it has the v6
He states in the video it is the 2.7
I thought a bronco pulling a 25 or 30ft car hauler was bad
Never will understand why people buy these style of vehicles and then load them down with 10,000 LBS of crap. Just buy an AEV Ram 2500 Diesel or a Power Wagon and call it a day. Even a stock Ram 2500 4x4 is just as capable, no suspension upgrades needed, you can even put 37's on a stock Ram 2500 (although you will hit the sway bar, so may have to swap that out, but that's cheap), and it can tow any trailer you want, haul more people than that Bronco and still has a massive bed to put cargo in! The bronco is neat and all, but is an overpriced fashion statement in my opinion.
Conqueror South African campertrailer
Oh, so he lived out of a trailer, not a Bronco.
But you’re NOT sleeping in the bronco but rather the trailer ! 🙄
Ridiculous towing that trailer with a bronco. Buy a super duty . I own a Wildtrak
I'm stunned that it has made it that far without the POS 2.7L blowing up!
Looks over loaded, should brought a bigger vehicle.
That guy ain’t over 6’5”
Andre is over 6 foot, I think he said 6'2" or 6'3" and that dude is taller. On the other hand, who cares.
@@StlrNtn95 Andre is 6’2”. That guy did not tower over him. You cared enough to reply. On the hand it’s an observation so I replied. Did it effect your life? How stupid do you feel right now?
@@WarTurkey_1 Lol....relax buddy. Didn't mean to hit a nerve that hard when you read my comment, which lead to you feeling like a dumbass. That's probably typical though for most of your days. ✌️
10 seconds in and you can see how badly the truck is squatting. Either re-spring your truck or stop overloading that trailer, buddy.
He already has suspension helpers on it.
would have been better off with a 4runner
I've been waiting 15 months to even see mine with no end in sight screw Ford
You turned a cool truck into a crappy RV for a lot of money, good job?
His money?
