Regal Daiquiri
2oz (60ml) Rum
1oz (30ml) Lime Juice
.75oz (22.5ml) Simple Syrup
Grapefruit Peel for Shaking
Lemon Twist Garnish - Навчання та стиль
I typically do this with the husk of the just squeezed lime. It's like a shaken, strained Capirinha.
That sounds great!
Agreed. Sometimes limes don’t express enough juice. So if I’m running low, I’ll add the squeezed lime and shake. Great way to add that extra flavor!
Agree! You’ve already got the lime there. If you don’t want to put the whole husk in there, just take a bit of the peel off before you squeeze it and put that in the shaker. I’ve also tried zesting the entire lime and using that into the shaker and it’s even more intense. You can mesh strain to remove the zest, or if you don’t mind little bits of zest in your cocktail you can leave it for a dramatic appearance.
I can’t remember the last time I had a grapefruit just laying around
A daiquiri is such a simple, pure and delicious drink - especially on a hot summer day.
I often just do a dash or two of bitters on top of my daiquiri. Grapefruit or lime most often. You get a lot of the aroma and flavor essence of peel without needing more fresh citrus that you have to cut into.
Dude, I made this last night (with orange peel) and it was AMAAAAAZING. It was like a daiquiri elevated and so simple to do. Can't wait to try it with grapefruit. Thanks!
And I learned a new thing today. Thank you Leandro for sharing these great tips with all of us. Cheers!
Those recaps videos are very cool reminders of what we learned on your channel.
Glad you liked the Regal shake!

God damn it man - you keep giving these simple and wonderful tips and tricks and I keep drinking more and more alcohol!
😂
This sounds like a blowy on a Sunday morning my guy. Gonna try this.
I like the grapefruit idea. I sometimes throw in the spent lime shell or a round of lime peel to brighten it up, but this is a great twist.
I also like your use of Probitas (Veritas for Europe). My house daiquiri blend is usually a 50/50 bottle of Don Q silver & Probitas.
LEANDRO!!! Thanks for sharing this!!! Ive got to try this!! CHEERS!!!!
My favorite rum for a Daiquiri. Going to have to try the peel idea.
The extra oils give some great flavor
I am going to give this a try.
interesting, will definitely give this a shot!
Looks fabulous!!
Try subbing some simple syrup with a citrus cordial for better result.
•15ml simple syrup
•15ml grapefruit cordial
•30ml lime
•60ml Aged Caribbean Rum
I also use this hack for a Hemingway daiquiri if no fresh grapefruit on hand.
Not bitter at all, just a necessary dash of sour to balance the sweetness.
I use to do a simular thing with my stirrend cocktails too. I always put a piece of orange zest in the mixingglas before stirring. I felt like it has a simular effect that you just explained. Maybe not that much of a effect as shaken but for sure noticeable
Same brother definitely makes A nice subtle difference in flavor
Absolutely works stirred and thrown drinks
How does one officially "invent" a shake technique? I do this with margs & Palomas...It's great.
damn Leandro, im trying this asap! thanks 🙏
(not now though, its 10 am 😂)
But 5 o’clock somewhere!! Lol
@@greenmt1100 hahahaha 🥂
The cut between orange, lemon and lime was almost as sharp as Leandro’s elbows
I'd score the peel so more oils are coming out.
But can you buy things on your website because I can only see your gear and not buy it
Why do all those great mixologists still SMASH the tins together before shaking ? Gently tap on it, it’s enough and you won’t bend your shaker out of shape ahah
