Xernona Clayton (the actor who plays Harriet) was directly involved in the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950s & '60s. She worked for SCLC directly under Dr. Martin Luther King. Her main job was organizing many of the events Dr. King was involved in such as the March on Washington.
I had the pleasure of meeting Victor French on the set of Highway To Heaven in I believe 1989. He was a very nice Man. This was not long before his passing. *🙏🏻Rest In Peace🕊* Victor French
I always loved it when they show him on Little House on The Prairie. I had three older sisters that controlled the one TV so I got to watch whatever they wanted .. I got to control the TV on Saturday mornings and watch the Wizard of Oz once a year

I can't help it. I like the cast and silly stuff. It's creative and original. They play their characters well and enjoy it, obviously. I find this fun and refreshing in this whackadoodle world.

I watched Duel last night on UA-cam. Odd because I haven't seen that movie for decades and there it was and now they talk about it on Creature Features.
I use "Dr, bronners" all natural soap. You can also use the peppermint flavor as a natural pesticide/fungicide for your plants. Just make sure you water it down because too much peppermint can hurt plants.
They had the beginnings of BEATS in this film. Near the end under the elevator, when they are getting down, the breathing has been used in 80's rap videos.

@@kalistapaige2768 I worked on, "Screwballs" "Cabin Fever" (with Foster Brooks) and "Recruits" (starring Thor, heavy metal lead singer). I know about The Roger Corman School of Film Making. Back then, it was cheaper to make films in Canada because of the tax write-offs. Vancouver was a great place to start because it was closer to California, just down the coast. The films I worked were shot in The Province of Ontario. Thing is - I never got paid for any productions - because i worked for a casting agency that charged a fee to join in - in which, any $$$ the extras earned was theirs to keep because I already received their $$$ when they signed up. It is still possible to make a good movie for just under a million. The production crew as well as the actors and film extras must sign a release form agreeing to the production policies. As far as know, no one disagreed. We all managed to do our work and complete whatever the call-sheet told us what to do for the next day of shooting. I know it may sound complicated, but that's how it was. We were also trying to "hide" Union and Non-Union Workers from the productions because of their pay. That was left up to the producers to make up their minds of what to do. In my opinion, if you want to make a film - use Non-Union actors - use young actors from high school plays up to community theater groups. They will do things for you - just so they can get their foot into the door. It worked for me as well as guy named Jack Nicolson :)
Duel w/Dennis Weaver is a classic psych thriller & should be recorded for those getting it who are watching this movie. You can def see & feel Spielberg's influence & It's a _must-see!_ 😯

" You are hereby invited to a party on Skull Mountain this Saturday night" Gertrude went to the bookshelf and grabbed an old book which she gave to Janet. " An Idiots Guide To Voodoo? Oh Gertrude you don't believe that nonsense do you? Janet laughed and ran upstairs to prepare. Gertrude went to her little room and opened a little chest in which there was a large sewing pin and a doll which looked a bit like Janet. Gertrude stuck the pin in the dolls rear end. Gertrude smiled.....Janet screamed!!!

Gertrude points to an old ancient wooden box sitting on the table. They both move closer to it. Janet looks at Gertrude. Shaking with fear, Gertrude hides under the table as Janet slowly opens the top of the wooden box. Suddenly! Out pops out a Zuni doll! Spear in hand, the tiny doll jumps out of the box and begins its terror rampage all across the room and all over Craft Manor! As Janet and Gertrude run from the Zuni doll, CAMERA catches a framed autographed photo of Karen Black signed, "To Janet, All the Best and Luck (you'll need it someday) Love Karen." Janet and Gertrude run out of the Manor and jump into their speedy golf cart (car) and race down, (at 20 miles/per hour top speed) to the Creature Features Theater, ready to open up a Saturday show with Creature Features. Janet and Gertrude, (panting and out of breath) run up towards the stage and faces the theater audience. Janet: "LIVE! It's Splatterday Night!!" Gertrude jumps up and kicks her hind legs with joy and skips around the stage, kicking and prancing around. (Chatter Room audience claps their hands. Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra along with Zetro opens up the show with the Creature Features opening theme title track). Vincent: "Hello and welcome to Creature Features!!" I can't remember seeing Mike Evans in anything else other than when he played Lionel Jefferson in both "All In The Family" and "The Jefferson's". Too bad i've never seen him in anything else as I've always enjoyed him on both "All In The Family" or "The Jeffersons".
he did Voyage of the Yes with Desi Arnaz Jr a year before this, and you couldn't mismatch two guys more if you tried. Watching Evans here, I suspect he was just told to be carefree and the doctor would have died early on, but either he became egotistically difficult (truth be told, French could do the same, so he got swapped with French and he bought it first. Or he grew bored doing the movie, He seems to think he's going to be too much of a charmer, too witty and didn't want to be scared like Stepin Fetchit or Mantan Morland. Didn't know he did an episode of Far Out Space Nuts. He was very estranged from his children in the end and in rather bad health and nobody cared for him.
Glad to have found a film with Mike Evans in it..I love watching him!
