On Diego Garcia I was told to look out for coconut crabs in the brush they can snap an ankle.I was skeptical then I saw a sign for boots with metal plates to protect your ankles from crabs.
On mobile, you can toggle between the livestream comments and the video comments by swiping (it shows two dots in the top right corner of the text box to represent these two options). Are you a fan of the 80's and giant killer crabs? If you are you're in for a treat! Excellent example of the "Crustaceans Gone Wild" genre of film which never disappoints! Vincent, being an ex rock star living in Bodega Bay, should be able to tell us a lot about crabs of all sorts, so should be both fun and educational! See you there!
Great, now I’m thinking about the delicious Soft Shell Crab Poboys I used to get in New Orleans. Now I live in the desert and can’t find them anywhere.
Yes, Killer Crabs would have been a more appropriate title. This movie is better than I thought it would be. Alot of good character actors. Love Creature Features 🤩
I am impressed with this film, I know several people in the cast, and have never seen or heard of the movie before. I thought it would be a black and white 1950s sci-fi horror film!!! Love the guest tonight, his work is amazing!!! Gary Bailey KingofDarkness ❤😊
The scientist who was the hotel manager in The Shining is Barry Nelson. He also played James 'Jimmy' Bond in the first live tv adaptation of Casino Royale.
This is a very good movie, i liked the mechanical crab, it looked real. I like some of these movies you show. I was in tenth grade at the time, when this movie came, now i am going on fifty five soon in a few months.
Good thing they're so slow and lumbering at that size that those guys can dance around and make fun of them. Doesn't do much for suspensefulness though.
If that crab cost $1,000,000.00 to create and build. Someone stole alot of money from the production company. In comparison. $1,000,000.00 in 1980 is $3,650,000.00 in 2024 money. Sorry, but if Bob really thinks that was a good price for that big crab costume. Then he's sniffed way to much of the paints, glues and epoxy he's used in his career. Haha
Hi Creature Features! 👻 🦀 Not bad, Giant Claws flick. Beautiful masques by your Guest tonight, too. The Shining, Overlook Hotel, manager played by the great, inimitable Skatman Corruthers (question at Aprox. @1:02 🎉 Keep up the good work y'all. ❤/FL
Very cool movie "Island Claws". The Giant Crab is a lot of meat for a meal. Vincent, Tangella and Mr. Livingston with guest Bart Frescura are very good on the show. I love Creature Features.
The scientist is played by Barry Nelson who has the distinction of being the first actor to play James Bond in the 1954 TV adaptation of Casino Royale on CBS' Climax! theater. His Bond was American in that adaptation.
42:38 'Apocrablypse Now'. Colonel Crab, "We'll come in low out of the rising sun and about a mile out, we'll play music." Lance, "Music?" Colonel Crab, "Yeah, I use 'Rock Lobster' to scare the hell out of the humans." ;)
How is it that the guys from Rifftrax have not riffed this one? These death scenes are hilarious 😂 On another note, one thing I love about Creature Features is that there's a new show every week. 👍👍👍🍺🍺🍺
how about anemones? figured that would be more along Tangella's lines. pet anemones. oh, and octopuses make for interesting pets, too. they're highly intelligent and can squeeze their bodies in to almost any kind of container. : ) this movie put me in a crabby mood. ; D
Barry Nelson who plays the doctor in this film, was the manager at The Overlook in The Shining and who interviews Jack Nicolson for the caretaker job........
Periwinkle is also the term used for caddisfly larva up here in the Northwest. They can be found in creeks and streams and they coat themselves in a tube of pebbles and sticks. They are pretty creepy up close
Caddisflly lava? As a geologist, by diploma only, I had to look that up. It must be a local thing there but here's a definition; a small, mothlike insect with an aquatic larva that typically builds a protective, portable case of sticks, stones, and other particles. Some kinds have been traditionally used as bait by fishermen. Check out the pictures of the link.
I’m in the mood for red lobster
😅😅me too 😹
imagine the amount of crab meat yummmm ☺️
Long John Silvers could have made a killing.
@WayneAshford-zz2hfit’s not as good as it used to be…..last time i was there they didn’t even have the crackers🦀🦞i left with bloody fingers🤨

The shinning came out the same year as this movie 1980.
I really wish this channel had the timed comments feature turned on. That’s as close to the livestream as I can get, sadly.

Barry Nelson - the actor from 'The Shining' as well as the Twilight Zone, Season 5.Episode 30 - "Stopover in a Quiet Town".
I'm going to repeat myself,
"He was also the first James Bond"
I like this channel. It feels like Halloween all year long!

CRAB PEOPLE CRAB PEOPLE 🦀 🦀🦀
The downside is that you might get snapped in half.
The upside is that the whole town could eat for weeks;)
Since I've found this show,it's all I play on the TV except for the News,❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is far more realistic than the propaganda.
Alice Cooper played in 1984

Alice Cooper played a werewolf in "Monster Dog"
Oooh , I love movies like this !
Someone should make a horror movie starring giant hermit crabs that are only as big as cats and snip people's legs off before eating them.
Good thing they're so slow and lumbering at that size that those guys can dance around and make fun of them. Doesn't do much for suspensefulness though.
HELLO FROM TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Livingston is James Earl Jones/ Morgan Freeman level.
Dude has a presence about him. Gets the best lines too.
I had a pet crab🤗. I named her Sweet Tiny Dancer...my lil cuz flushed her down the🚽. I say she was lost at sea😢.

What is it with Robert Lansing and giant animals? First it was 'Empire of the Ants', now this.

Nothing says “horror” like a hillbilly killing crabs with a banjo on a school bus. 😱
Monster Dog needs to be a future Creature Feature film. Soooooo good, and by "GOOD" I mean "Terrible but good"
*crab rave intensifies*
Oh Tangella, tell the old guy to play Rollerball 1975. You are a beauty!
The best part of watching creature feature is seeing Tangela.
That would feed the entire island for a month!
Alice Cooper Horror - Monster Dog (1984)
Fear of shell fish (crabs, lobsters, shrimp, etc): crustatia
No. That's called Ostraconophobia.
I also adore this film like I adore Tangella! 🦀🖤
❤❤ she is cute as can be.
No actual crustaceans were harmed in the making of this movie
Did he just out Tangella for having crabs? Thats not very nice! ;)
Tangella has a yellow Cthulhu!
Will she autograph the axe,,I mean the gift?! 😊being par Viking it's a great idea 💡

He was also the first James Bond.
Awesome actor
I always suspected crabs roared!
Who was the blonde chick? The credits were scrolling too fast! Cool flick tho Thanks! 💯🍻
PAUSE IT!!!
Tangella with orange Cthulhu is just so cute!
Isn’t ‘orange Cthulhu’ more traditionally called an octopus ?
@@G_de_Coligny It is a preference of mine. 🤣

Monster dog
1986 Monster Dog stars Alice Cooper as Vince Raven
If anyone Hass crabs you might be offended by this movie
Boy, I'll bet they had to shell out some big bucks for that animatronic!
Can't help thinking Killer Crabs would have been a better title 😅
