This really was a good thriller. Harry was a really appealing tough old guy. I was puzzled by Bobby's ghost showing up over and over, but Peter, the murder victim, where was his ghost? This was a good enough thriller to have no ghost at all, other than Harry's PTSD. But the trio of friends was brought up over and over. Like a 3-legged stool that was missing a leg. All in all, a good crime thriller, with a unique and intriguing setting.

It's funny, I made a search for "full werewolf movies", and this came up. Though there is no mention of a werewolf in the description (it is the first night of the werewolf's full moon, which goes for three days traditionally), I was drawn to watch it. Because of the ghost story aspect and the violence, it is, I suppose, a horror movie (there is much that is horrific in it). But even more than that, it is a classic tragedy, beautifully done. Harry (who I originally thought would be the werewolf, how wrong I was!) was the classic tragic hero. He went into the den of villains and of those in need of saving from the villains ... As he slowly caught on to what was going on, his heroism was brought out in all of its glory. But still, one by one, everyone, villain, victim, and ultimately hero, died. The hero died because he did, indeed, act with hubris (thinking that the gods and the fates were too slow in bringing "jusitice", so that he took it into his own hands). Hubris is always the act of a hero, of a "too good", rather than a bad, person. A story of this sort is quite literally classic tragedy. And this movie did it beautifully.

The photography, the acting, the script, were all absolutely wonderful - until 52'35" and after. It's almost as if the rest were written by someone else. A great pity. The first grown-up mystery / ghost movie I have seen in a long time. Such a change from many of these movies with dumb, silly, teenagers.
There is a place in PERTH, SCOTLAND..it is about 25miles out skirt of PERTH TOWN named HUNTER'S LODGE the same of this movie..at the front there's a small bars where guests can enjoy various drinks. There was a pretty bar tender name Joann, she's a very decent person I finally married her..but unfortunately we divorced after a year and half. I still thinking of her always and it's more unfortunate as we couldn't find way to reunion our life again. What a tragedy I'm facing with my life.?
Comments say how great this film is. I can't agree. I found it annoyingly awkward and the premise forced to make it spooky when it really isn't. I understand the guy's PTSD and his feeling of guilt over his friend's death during a war. The appearance of the dead buy could be attributed to the visions and flashbacks the main character was going through and not be a ghost at all. Speculating on this is the only thing which makes this interesting. Otherwise, it's another tale of greed and murder done by sloppy people who lose in the end. For those who enjoyed it, that's great.
At least a realistic movie. It won't be wrong to say that most people are just what they are "worth", all the foul people forget that they will die soon, but they are so desperate to get someone else's wealth. Where there is wealth, there is a crime and also enemies.

I will climb the steepest stairs and quietly eat my bread with tears, to sup with Penny I will fight dragons and all sorts of supernatural beings just to save, Penny There is no one as wonderful and graceful as Penny who was the true hero of this movie and thus, I want to change my will, so Penny gets everything. that is right - I want Penny to get the lodge and everything that goes, along with it so that Penny can live splendidly and not have to struggle with day to day life. and hopefully she will meet a wonderful younger man to keep her company and nourish her emotional needs and help her with the PTSD that is sure to follow after everything she has been through. It took a lot of work for her to kill off everyone and make it look like she is the good one. bravo well done Penny.
