I’m sure he wasn’t her boyfriend but I find it hilarious that Betty is always messing around with Archie when she has a boo 🤣 Kind of shows that she’ll always be drawn to him and the fact that they both haven’t gotten over their attraction and feelings for each other even after all these years says a lot. This friends with benefit deal is gonna be hot as hell but I can’t wait for the journey of them realizing they’re in love with each other so they can truly be together. They deserve it, after everything it took to get to this point with one another. #BARCHIERISE

I’ve never seen either of them this happy. The writers obviously ship them more then the other ships with how hot they made that shower scene. It looks like the writers are really focusing on them this season and taking care with they’re development where as bughead and varchie was so rushed.

And i think that all season 4 barchie scenes and that line at 0:11 is sufficiently enough to make all bughead shippers to move on!!!! There are many reasons why, he was being raped and manipulated by Miss Grundy, he was dealing with the Jason Blossom shooting incident, she got with Jughead and he got with Veronica, he didn't feel he was good enough for her etc
He thought he wasn’t good enough for her and he never allowed himself to look at her romantically. After he started gaining more friends and self confidence (he also got better looking in that season, he went from scrawny to muscular over the summer) he started looking at her in that light but it was too late because she started a relationship with someone else. Betty was Archie’s best, and also only friend at the time, so he didn’t want to ruin their friendship by trying something more. It’s pretty obvious in season 1, he looks at her so longingly and it’s towards the latter half of the season that he and Veronica got together. But Jughead and Veronica were both the second choice unfortunately. Also, there’s one scene in season 3 when archie is told about the “place in time where it all went wrong.” There’s many different elements but the moment in place it all went wrong for him was when he rejected Betty that night and lost her forever. So yeah, many people will say that he had his chance and he’s a douche and blah blah, but I truly believe he was just insecure and thought his best friend deserved the world, and that wasn’t him, even if she wanted it to be, which is pretty damn sad.
good question and i m going to give you the real life explanation: she thought she was too goody-two-shoes, the "i don't deserve you" is bullcrap. veronica seemed exciting and gave off the "bad-girl" vibe. i m not saying you should be bad to get guys by any means don't get me wrong girls. for me Archie was a douchebag/asshole with those stupid excuses. who deserves you will like/love you just the way you are. sure, if he didn't like Betty you can't force him ofc but don't find him stupid excuses just sayin'
