I am 69 years old , grown up with this song since sixties. For me it s the best soulful song ever !! Many many people do not understand the lyrics in it until today ( I too ) . But that is not important because the sound shoots straight in our hearts. I never heard something about Tommy Nilsson, but now. Guy you are fantastic !!! Already many years ago I ask my family to play this song at my funeral. But since now I have to think about, which version they should play : Procol Harum or Tommy Nilsson. Not easy .

He represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1989 with the song En dag (One day) and placed fourth. He had a solo career in France in the early 80's. Toto wanted him as their lead singer but unfortunately it never happened.
