As a candle maker that margarita is a fire waiting to happen. The container is not thick enough and the fact that is gel wax which burns hotter than wax makes it even worse. Also fires are caused by too much fragrance/essential oil and using the wrong wick. And never ever use crayons

As a candle maker myself, something that should be said when it comes to gel wax is you have to make sure whatever oil you use is gel safe fragrance. If you have a fragrance oil within a certain flashpoint it can literally make the candle explode. And there are percentages of wax to fragrance ratios. The wax frosting you need to cool the wax before whisking the wax. It’s quite easy and quick to make. But you do have to wait for it to cool before whipping it. I don’t know why they call these hacks!
I think they called it hack to lure into false pretense that these are easy as they presented it to be, that any average human could do it. However, it's been pointed out on the soap maker channel that they still put questionable and even potentially dangerous stuff into soaps. They did not care at all on actual practical function of the thing they create, they just care to look pretty.
@@dodixaverius9176 yeah it’s incredible in a very sad way how they can keep putting up the dangerous “hacks” they do. It actually pinched a nerve a little seeing people just randomly putting stuff in the gel wax without figuring the right ratio and also now knowing the flashpoint of the oils.

On the margarita candle, perhaps allowing the "drink" portion to partially cool would hold the "ice cubes" up a little better? So there'd be more structure to provide distinction between the colored base and clear additions? I also agree, scenting the "cubes" would be smart!
my first day of preschool I've been told I made a beeswax candle - the type where you roll up a sheet of beeswax around a wick. My mom says I was so proud and excited at the prospect of her using it. Lo and behold at dinner that night she set it on a candle holder and LIT IT ON FIRE! Tiny me was horrified at my art being destroyed and cried not understanding that candles are very different from my older siblings drawings on the fridge where they stayed safe.
My favorite thing about your videos is when you mess up or it doesn’t turn out how you want it to, you make it again. It’s so frustrating to me when youtubers just leave it so it’s satisfying that you redo it!
I am a sculptor and I used to make a TON of art out of paraffin and other candle wax- my advice is that wax takes FOREVER to cool and solidify as long as it’s kept in the same (very hot) container it was melted in. Pouring the hot wax into a cool, unused container after melting would cut my cooling time in half, if not more!!
5 tips from someone who's made candles with better tutorials than Blossom's: - *Glue your wicks to the bottom of the candle before you even start melting wax.* Don't do the latte thing where they just shove the wick in last minute!!! They definitely just forgot it in the video and went like "well it only has to work for as long as it takes to light the candle." Your wicks need to be centered well, in the bottom of the jar, or the candle won't burn right! You can prop them on popsicle sticks laid across the rim of the jar too, to help keep them centered while your wax cools. - *There's an ideal temperature to add fragrances.* Look it up for the kind of wax you're using. Otherwise the scent oils can bead up in weird ways or just not bond with the wax properly. At best it won't disperse scent well (poor "throw") and at worst you can end up with pockets of flammable oil. - *Candle making suppliers sell coloring chips.* Saf used one for the cherry blossom branches. Honestly, I was really surprised how well the brown crayon worked for the latte drink candle--normally that doesn't go so well. Coloring chips are much more reliable. Never try to use liquid food coloring for candles, it's literally oil and water. - *There are lots of kinds of wax.* Even within a category, like "soy wax," there are different consistencies and they're for different things; the wax you use for jar candles is softer than the stuff you use to make pillar candles. Most kinds of soy wax have a lower melting point than paraffin (except the really hard kinds used for pillar candles), and so it probably would have been less burny to use for the cherry blossom thing because it can get cooler and still be liquid. Hard to say without testing though. - *In the whipping video,* their wax was already close to melting point in the bowl (it was just about to harden). You can see it starting to turn white around the edges of the bowl. It's probably easier if you let it cool off a bit first. It'd probably be a better tutorial if they _told you this._ As always, the tutorials leave a lot out here. Real instructions just don't make as pretty of a video as attention-grabbing jumpcuts. I'm glad these worked out as well as they did though! (Edit to add extra linebreaks so this isn't such a wall of text lol)
I agree that the lime essential oil needed to be in the “ice” too. But I also noticed in the clip you used that their “margarita” portion looked thicker, like they’d let it cool in the glass slightly before putting in the “ice”. I bet that’s how their “ice” stuck up out of the “drink” portion. Same with the “cherry blossoms”. The wax for those was definitely much cooler than they let on. As for your “whip”, cake decorators fold the bag open to fill them. That gets their material down in the bag and not all over the sides of it.
My grandma had at least 3 in the living room. When I was over when I was little I would just stick my finger in them because it felt weird. She would get so mad😂
Omg I used to do the same thing! The ones that looked like water on top of sand but were actually Jelly used to mess me up so much as a kid! And then when they got all dusty on top….
I had one given to me in maybe 2006 in a small champagne flute shape glass (with out the stem) with little sea shells in the peach colored jelly wax haha
For the first one, I’m not sure because I don’t work with candles, but it might of worked better if you let the lime bit solidify a little before putting in the ice cubes to give the illusion that they’re floating
It’s always good to be reminded that the hair twisting thing was not a fever dream and I did actually beg for it for Christmas. And then used it approximately three times.
The cherry blossom branches are basically just very oldschool candlemaking. Start with a wick, dip it, hang to dry, repeat for 7 million years until it's thick enough to be sturdy and burn slow. So that's pretty cool!
The 3rd candle is actually something some do on Vietnamese new year and we stick it onto branches and we leave it in our house. But instead of lighting it we leave it there and get rid of it at the end of new year ( lasts 3 days). If you want to do it I recommend you have cold water nearby and coat the flower 2 or 3 times because it becomes thicker making it less breakable and easier to remove
Instead of ice water, try lotion first. That’s what I coat a hand with before I dip it in paraffin as a manicurist. Also, I would say 2, 3 or 4 dips before you try and place them on the branch would look really nice as well.
having Tchaikovsky’s Waltz of the Flowers playing in the background somehow just adds to the pure chaos that is Safiya putting candle whipped cream on a fake latte
I used to make candles all the time and often used the “whipped cream” trick. The thing is, the wax needs to be partially cooled down so that it actually whips up into peaks. Just for future reference:)
I feel like the second candle would’ve been better as hot chocolate (so chocolate scented base) and then adding a slight mint to the ‘whipped cream’ and then maybe some ‘sprinkles’ for just a cute hot chocolate beverage
Shaved brown wax on top to be like chocolate curls would be cute imo and they wouldn't need to buy anything else, just use some extra brown wax from the first step
I worked at Joe’s Crab Shack like 15 years ago and made their signature drinks for our bar as decor! I made the ice out of regular wax so that it looked cloudy like regular ice, but apart from that, it was just like this!

Haha yeah I thought the same but then I thought I think their main point was the instructions givin were so vague and whatnot, so they wanted to make exactly what they saw, so no scents lol but yeah that problem could be solved very easily tbh
I see how you think this due to the way it was edited, but in reality Safiya made all the candles before lighting any of them, proven by the shot near the end that shows all the candles with their wicks still white, so by the time she lit the margarita candle and realized it needed scent in the cubes, she had already made the other two candles so it was too late.
@@trudy8950 Ahh that explains it as well! Thanks for clarifying, I wouldn't have noticed that! Also, to reiterate, I didn't mean what I said in any negative way at all :D

I love candle making! Word of advice I learned the hard way is that the fragrances used mostly in professional candles is fragrance oil rather than essential oils. Fragrance oils are less diluted and have to be measured as a part of the whole for the candle weight.
Candle maker here with some tips: to have a better scent, let it cure for at least a week before lighting. Always trim the wick down to about 1/4", not so long. For the frosting, don't start whipping until it starts to solidify and cool down more. Also, never use a crayon to color a candle, it will clog the wick. All in all you did good!
Actually in truth the cherry blossom kinda would work well as a cottage core menorah if you made enough branches for all 8 nights. Hanukkah candles aren't really meant to burn for that long.
For those wanting to make the 'wip cream wax' I use soy wax, melt it completely add colour if I want and scent. I then use the spatula every now and then to mix it as it cools. Once it's almost hard but also soft enough to pipe I add it to the piping bag and boom...done! I make cupcake candles and they melt nicely like this!
The Blossoms flower part can be done differently ! Personally, I use the store candles and just use the candles like normal, except they melt wayyyyyy easier and because of that, they are fully melted and the wax is not even hot ! It’s actually feels like dipping your hand onto your average warm bath water. They dried very quickly and come of easy, too
Note to anyone making these candles: please practice safe candle burning! Always make sure your candles are in a safe fire-retardant area (like their stone countertops). Never burn homemade candles (especially the cherry blossom candle that has parts that can fall) on wooden or otherwise flammable surfaces! Have fun candle making! 🔥
@@smallchild3694 it means on areas that aren't going to burn or burn quickly. So burning a candle on a stone countertop is much safer than burning one on a wood table because should something happen, like the candle getting knocked over, the wood table is going to quickly set on fire.
In elementary school we had a candle accessoire thingy making afternoon (I don't know what to call it) and it was fall/winter so they decided we should add moss (it lights on fire really easily). Long story short it caught fire and we were all very scared.
Safiya: Is this a fire hazard? “Candle”: *has a billion wicks* “Candle”: *literally has highly flammable material for a base* “Candle”: *making of process is from a content farm and is literally a burn hazard before the damn thing is lit* … you might wanna have a fire extinguisher on standby next time you do Hacked Candles…
Tip for next time, when whipping/hand mixing anything you want to move the mixer/beater side to side (kind of in a zig zag pattern) rather than in circles for faster mixing 😊
@@tapiocateabags Good Idea! I was thinking more at first of her whipping in a glass bowl: it could easily be a hazard for it breaking. But your tips for whipping cream is excellent. 😊
I appreciate all the work Safiya and Tyler put into these videos. The voice-over, the colorful editing, the music, the fun concepts - everything is so neat and thoughtfully done.💚
I feel like the cherry blossom candles would make decent birthday cake candles since they’re only lit for a few minutes at most, and they’d be really pretty as decoration. The only issue would be what to do with them when you’re done….
@@stag5783 i think if you managed to make them thinner like in the hack video or in the tutorial videos she showed there would be a lot less dripping wax
for the margarita candle one, it would be easier if you poured the candle wax half way in cup first, let that harden and then put the ice cubes in and poured the rest of the wax solution after (make sure not to overflow it). It would have been easier to show visibility of the ice
I feel like the wick thing for the cherry blossoms had one issue for Safiya: the wicks weren't pre covered in wax like the ones in the video. They used pre-waxed ones so they were already sturdy, just adding one more coat of wax for the colour.
I recognized the roll the wick came from (I've used that wax for candles I make on Etsy before). Those wicks are pre-waxed, but not terribly sturdy and strong. It's a hemp wick with beeswax covering you can get on Amazon. They just used wax that was WAY too hot (boiling the wax while on a double boiler is WAY hotter than necessary for most waxes in general). In theory, if the wick was covered in beeswax, it shouldn't have become limp because beeswax has a higher melting point than paraffin wax. She should have just let it cool for a while (to like 110 degrees F), then try dipping it and not letting it sit in the wax very long.
@@foxybean7614 Yeah, it just isn't one where there's a physical coating of wax around the wick rather than the material just gets saturated in the wax with nothing left on the surface. I like the cotton wicks from Nature's Garden personally. Has a nice thick layer of wax all around the wick material.
they are both good at enunciating, have deeper voices, and both sound sophisticated too lol 👀 ngl would love some kind of collab between saf and caitlin, it would be interesting to see what they could work on together
Is that another name for the bucket chemist gene? My science/chemistry teacher called students bucket chemists if they were a little ...generous with pouring.
Tip: freezing your crayons allows you to take the wrapper off much easier than with a warm crayon because the wax contracts a bit making the paper easier to remove!
My dad used to make candles when I was a kid and I used to love to stick my fingers in the hot wax. It was hot sure, but once you have that first layer of wax on your fingers, the wax insulated them from the heat really well. And then you had finger shaped wax worms to squish while waiting for candles to cool 😎
I love to do that too, but my cats like kocking over the candles so we can't melt the candles anymore. But, back when we used to melt them I once made something that looked like a horse.
@@kimbrolyy I think that if the flowers are dipped several times in the wax, and then position them in the branches in a way that they can hold the dripping wax for a while, would be enough to sing happy birthday and blow them 😸
Just as a heads up. The candle won’t work for very long for the coffee candle. You need a dye for the wax, not mica powder (which is what in your crayons). If you use mica, the mica will start to cut off flow of the wax to the flame via the wick. So, even if you WANTED to burn your coffee candle, it wouldn’t work for very long.
I do agree, they turned out quite lovely, but that closing line “for something you’re going to set on fire” is why I never spend money on them 😂 or the fancy soaps too hehe
in the mid 80s in canada there was a chain called "the it store" where they sold all kinds of weird novelties and gift type stuff, and as a pre-teen one of my favourite sections was the wax fake-food candle section. there were all kinds but i remember and entire pizza, spaghetti, milkshakes, banana splits and other sundaes. they were kind of expensive as i recall and also useless because you wouldn't want to burn them, but i did get an ice-cream cone as a gift because i was constantly begging for my parents to get me something.... anything. the ice-cream you briefly showed at the start of the video was very similar and i got a small rush of excitement seeing it even today because dang i loved those fake-food candles. i have no idea what happened to mine but i probably grew out of it and thought it was dumb or something, which is insane because obviously i still think they are extremely cool. i also had a brooch i got at epcot center which was a tiny ~2" plate of spaghetti and meatballs and i LOVED it but i think i threw it out after i broke part of the fork off the plate. i'll be honest, i've gone looking on etsy and elsewhere online very recently hoping to find another one.... i am adult PS. in grade six i remember having to write a "my perfect day" essay and mine included a bike ride to the it store to shop for a fake-food candle of some kind. loser
Omg same! But it was Coach House Gifts in America. It spurned my weird cute candle collecting obsession haha unfortunately i moved so many times as a young adult they got lost or ruined but i found cupcake candles at the dollar tree 7 or 8 years ago and now im back on track with collecting them haha they're so effin cool idk how ppl dont buy them like crack cuz i literally cant stop myself 🤣
Also, you're most definitely not a loser haha or maybe you were but if so than i am/was a loser as well 🤣 too bad we didn't know each other as kids, we probably would have been best friends who went on food candle adventures together 😆
It's so good to see her and Tyler once more, I really enjoy all their hard work and videos. Related, has she ever posted where she got her wedding band? I loved her engagement ring but I really adore her wedding band.
Next time you have to load a piping bag, fold it down around your hand first so that whatever you're filling it with doesn't get on the very top of the bag. When you are done loading it, roll it back up without squeezing it and twist. That way the contents don't squeeze out the top of the bag and easier to control. Love your content and have been watching you for years! ❤️
Cottage-core menorah kinda inspired me. My menorah is tree shaped already so I might try to make just single stems with the flowers. It’s not going to look like cherry blossoms by any means but it still sounds kinda cute. Anyway loved this video Saf! You did a fantastic job and really made me want to try candle making!
That’s so beautiful! It’s a shame though since Hanukkah candles are meant to last hours 😣 but also there is not harsh “supposed to” when it comes to celebration/observance in Judaism anyway so I say give it a shot!
@@seemsfishy23 yeah I’ll have to use a different wax for the stems so they last at least half an hour. Paraffin burns at a low temp so I’ll have to do some reading on different waxes. Luckily I have a lot of time to study and prepare!

ive done the cherry blossom one, after failing with the dipping the wick in brown wax i decided to just use paint (i wasnt burning it), and i like the feeling of hot wax on my fingers so it was pretty easy for me to do it (i used to dip in fingers in my moms candles LMAO
I’ve actually managed to make the margarita one before, I suggest filling up the bottom of the glass like the little nub piece and letting that solidify then adding some more witn the ice it’ll make sure that the ice doesn’t wanna sink down to low and it’ll make sure that you don’t overflow but the ice still sticks out without there being too much ice
Scent the "whip cream" part with vanilla next time then you'd have like a vanilla latte scent when it melts down and the scents meld together. I also think this looks more like hot chocolate so that's a scent idea too and then garnish with some flakes of brown colored wax to really make it look like hot chocolate.
not a candle maker, but as a professional baker i have sooooo many ideas on how to whip the wax more efficiently: - you could use ice bath while whipping it, or just some cool water if it hardens too fast - you could let it semi-harden, THEN whip it so the hard bits and the liquid bits blend together in the desired texture while it fluffs up, but that risks in it being a bit chunky - same technique as above but instead of letting it harden you melt half the wax and after cooling it a bit you dump in the other half to get the right temperature and texture (we use technique for tempering chocolate, and the name for it in french translates to "insemination" 😳) - im just having fun at this point but if you have a marble countertop, you could spread it around with a spatula or bench scraper until it thickens, then return it to the bowl for whipping a lot of these ideas come from working with chocolate cuz wax and cocoa butter (a component in chocolate) do seem to share a lot of qualities, so that white chocolate comparison wasnt too far off actually 😂 and again tho, im not a candlemaker so dont quote me on any of this lol
the last tip is how you make branch chocolate! that's how we call it in my country. basically is doing what they said but just folding it until it almost hardens, make a thin sheet and then roll and/or fold it until it looks like a cinammon branch it's so fun to bite into! i think it's also good for people who can't bite the hard chocolate and it's so fun to watch being made too, last time i saw a dude irl do it they were showing the little kids in the fair
the comparison of the chocolate and wax was good because cocoa butter it's very stiff compared to other oils/butters which is why natural lip balms for people with sensitive skin are pure cocoa butter, i think
@Jamie Probably not harder as far as construction goes but definitely much more of a fire hazard... they were lucky that the flames did not touch the foam (even if it didn't catch on fire but melted instead, there still would be some horrid and possibly toxic fumes)
It would probably have been harder considering that they'd have to either shove the wicks into a vase of hardened wax or time everything so the wicks went in while the wax was still soft, but not so soft the wicks fell over.
I've made lots of these candles. They are tough. Tip- the margarita green wax should have cooled slightly before placing the ice cubes. And a crayon should never be used for color cuz it clogs the wick and it'll keep burning out. Learned from my own mistakes. Great job guys! Love the videos. ❤️
I just realised something: The video where they showed how the cream was made.... it's definetly egg whites!!! It looks 100% like egg whites, and also foams up exactly the same way (like, the little sprinkles on the sides of the bowl and the consistency) They probably filmed the video of the actual process and were like 'no this is really not presentable enough' and just took egg whites to make it look nice and pretty.
Honestly, maybe, maybe not. Could be that they did it to save time, but if you look at the video, there seems to be a thin film on the sides of the bowl that seems more opaque like dried candle wax. Based on other websites and other tutorials, it's totally possible to whip the candle wax in less time than they did anyway, they just didn't let it cool down at all before starting like they should have LMAO
EDIT: also, the wick we used for the cherry blossom hack was pre-waxed! it was a roll of pre-waxed wick :)

On the margarita candle, perhaps allowing the "drink" portion to partially cool would hold the "ice cubes" up a little better? So there'd be more structure to provide distinction between the colored base and clear additions?

Tyler yelling “I Promised my mom” as Saf eats the wax is my favorite moment ever

“Cottagecore menorah” is a perfect way to describe the cherry blossom one.
I was getting "pretzel ballerinas"
5 tips from someone who's made candles with better tutorials than Blossom's:
- *Glue your wicks to the bottom of the candle before you even start melting wax.* Don't do the latte thing where they just shove the wick in last minute!!!
It'd probably be a better tutorial if they _told you this._
As always, the tutorials leave a lot out here.

That's probably where they got it from
Instead of ice water, try lotion first. That’s what I coat a hand with before I dip it in paraffin as a manicurist. Also, I would say 2, 3 or 4 dips before you try and place them on the branch would look really nice as well.

Could be cute but you'd need to make 8 of them since you're not supposed to blow out the candles 😅
I mean 8 nights, that's like 192 hours
I was thinking a menorah as well! But you can't blow out the candles so you'd have to make a lot or just use it on the last night.
That’s gonna be a lot of candles, and it looks as if you’d be left with just a puddle of wax before you’re done with the shehekeanu
Cottage core menorah would be a great band

@@smallchild3694 it means on areas that aren't going to burn or burn quickly. So burning a candle on a stone countertop is much safer than burning one on a wood table because should something happen, like the candle getting knocked over, the wood table is going to quickly set on fire.

I feel like the cherry blossom candles would make decent birthday cake candles since they’re only lit for a few minutes at most, and they’d be really pretty as decoration. The only issue would be what to do with them when you’re done….
That's what I was thinking, 10/10 would put on my birthday cake

I was thinking the same thing! Might be cool to make a candle display that way when they are blown out no spit gets on the cake!

As someone who makes candles, it is bound to fail regardless because of how many wicks there are with so little wax to slow the burn
the wick i had was pre-waxed! it’s a roll we got from a craft store of pre-waxed wick.

My dad used to make candles when I was a kid and I used to love to stick my fingers in the hot wax.

@@DrEllie-cb1gg that sounds so cute!!
"Can I drink this? No! It is a flame!"
The Blossom-quality acting is spot on XD
What really gets me is how unimpressed and disappointed the girl looks
I read this like that lorde song that goes “can you reach me? No! You can’t!
I just realized these are my comfort videos
I have been having a VERY tough time this year, but seeing your guys’ videos (whether old or new) has helped me immensely in my “healing process,” you could say. Thank you guys so much for being awesome. ❤️
Hope you get better soon! Stay strong, and your next year is filled with happiness
Me too! I’ve been having sone pretty bad anxiety and rewatching Safiya’s videos has helped so much
TommyInnit 🅥 ffs😭
Zainab ty, u too❤️❤️
Maria Christine i hope you and I get better soon❤️
The cherry blossom tree would be amazing for a photoshoot, just as a background or up front, it looks awesome
She honestly decides what people want to see
Doesn’t post regularly? We still watch
Makes random video that is not related to anything “trending” right now? We still watch
Doesn’t shove her videos down our throats? We will ALWAYS WATCH we loveee you Saf
'Not related to anything "trending" right now' And now she's on #1 Trending 😂 but all jokes aside congrats Safiya and keep making creative and random content, bc yes we will always watch it XD
ua-cam.com/video/Hc5xbnp_A6c/v-deo.html mukbang !
Rose Wern yeah exactly I meant they’re random but become so popular even though they weren’t to begin with. She’s a genius!

It’s what made me like JennaMarbles so much, certainly! People making the type of content that they would like to watch!
ive done the cherry blossom one, after failing with the dipping the wick in brown wax i decided to just use paint (i wasnt burning it), and i like the feeling of hot wax on my fingers so it was pretty easy for me to do it (i used to dip in fingers in my moms candles LMAO
Sammmeeeee
27:26 "Functionally, it's just a bouquet of matches" is my new favorite Saf quote.
Surprised how much i had to scroll to get this😂
I’ve actually managed to make the margarita one before, I suggest filling up the bottom of the glass like the little nub piece and letting that solidify then adding some more witn the ice it’ll make sure that the ice doesn’t wanna sink down to low and it’ll make sure that you don’t overflow but the ice still sticks out without there being too much ice

Apparently there's something about gel wax and colorants causing a dangerous flash point that can cause the candle to explode?
15:45 Tyler just immediately doing it without question is so wholesome omg
I am so impressed you mixed for 30 mins, I barely can for 5 mins. Absolutely love the cherry blossom one!
Scent the "whip cream" part with vanilla next time then you'd have like a vanilla latte scent when it melts down and the scents meld together. I also think this looks more like hot chocolate so that's a scent idea too and then garnish with some flakes of brown colored wax to really make it look like hot chocolate.

Legit JUST said this too 😂😂😂
Was thinking after they showed the video they should scent the whip vanilla if the video didnt tell them to.

not a candle maker, but as a professional baker i have sooooo many ideas on how to whip the wax more efficiently:
- you could use ice bath while whipping it, or just some cool water if it hardens too fast
- you could let it semi-harden, THEN whip it so the hard bits and the liquid bits blend together in the desired texture while it fluffs up, but that risks in it being a bit chunky
- same technique as above but instead of letting it harden you melt half the wax and after cooling it a bit you dump in the other half to get the right temperature and texture (we use technique for tempering chocolate, and the name for it in french translates to "insemination" 😳)
- im just having fun at this point but if you have a marble countertop, you could spread it around with a spatula or bench scraper until it thickens, then return it to the bowl for whipping
a lot of these ideas come from working with chocolate cuz wax and cocoa butter (a component in chocolate) do seem to share a lot of qualities, so that white chocolate comparison wasnt too far off actually 😂 and again tho, im not a candlemaker so dont quote me on any of this lol

So that you have an actual real person in this threat: those are some really cool tips
wow
the last tip is how you make branch chocolate! that's how we call it in my country.
basically is doing what they said but just folding it until it almost hardens, make a thin sheet and then roll and/or fold it until it looks like a cinammon branch
it's so fun to bite into! i think it's also good for people who can't bite the hard chocolate
and it's so fun to watch being made too, last time i saw a dude irl do it they were showing the little kids in the fair
the comparison of the chocolate and wax was good because cocoa butter it's very stiff compared to other oils/butters which is why natural lip balms for people with sensitive skin are pure cocoa butter, i think
As a person with hearing issues, it always makes me happy that Safiya's have such good subtitles!
Me too!! It definitely makes watching her videos much more enjoyable
Same. They are nice and clear

I’m a professional candle maker and I so enjoy your hack “smacking” lol
Safiya is so consistent these days and I'm not complaining
@TommyInnit 🅥 lol a tommyinnit person on a non mcyt channel pog i guess
@@thebestdanjan no, that’s just a bot.
Big shoutout to her and her team! Whatever they’re doing is working well
i love that safiya’s reason for this is “i want to” like i rlly love that
Anyone else screaming that the “vase” in blossom’s video is clearly also full of wax??? They made it so much harder on themselves with the foam 😭
I'll just pretend like this -video- could be of any relevance, to anything, and like I know what we're talking about here. xD
“Is this a firehazard” saf every video you make in your kitchen is most definitely a fire hazard

This channel is slowly turning into a candle content channel
And I’m totally okay with it 😂
@@maddijasnyy so am I 🕯️

Awww this kitchen reminds me of your old kitchen. Memories of melting lipsticks, clear chips, and first steps down the soaping journey lol
same ❤️ tryna get back to basics so we can get back up on our feet!
Safiya is pure gold. She’s beautiful inside and out. Sending love to you both ❤️
I just realised something: The video where they showed how the cream was made.... it's definetly egg whites!!! It looks 100% like egg whites, and also foams up exactly the same way (like, the little sprinkles on the sides of the bowl and the consistency) They probably filmed the video of the actual process and were like 'no this is really not presentable enough' and just took egg whites to make it look nice and pretty.
ua-cam.com/video/vM6YwVtcJjg/v-deo.html
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. Hack channels tend to be more presentation than practicality.
Could just be straight up whipped cream, too, if it's the one I'm thinking it is.
