I find that busy schedules being the norm for most of us shorter UA-cam vids are usually better. 15-20 minutes being best. As always longer is OK for some topics. I find you are considerate of our time. On this topic I used to do a lot more on Amazon. But they have gotten really picky for the last couple of years. A week doesn't go buy when I get a message that they found a problem with a listing that had been up for a while and is now taken off. Why I wasn't told anything at time of listing I don't know. I still have my account but mainly for the movies and television shows.
I do like the short videos for times when I only have a few minutes. The longer ones are great for listening while you work. There are a lot of things that are not intuitive about eBay that you could teach. I just ran my first sale, but I had to search you tube to find out how to do it. I tried to put just certain categories in my sale. It wasn’t as easy to do as it should be. So maybe showing how to do things that seem like basic knowledge to people who have been doing it awhile. I would also love simplified shipping. It seems like it’s always changing. But basic rules (over x” in length = ups; over x lbs = ups; and what is up with cubic rates 🤷🏻♀️) I could go on all day!
I like the longer format but yes they're definitely is a need for those 5 minute quick tips when you're just looking for some answers on how to's... name ideas "Did you know" "ebay what I've learned"... quick show idea recently I had to increase all my silver coin prices because silver went up, you can do that bulk editing, go to your store category and increase everything 5% or whatever you decide, maybe something simple walk through on one of those features
I know people think that items on Amazon FBA sell for higher prices than eBay, but when you add in the HIGH return rate there (sometimes 15-20% depending on what you sell) it wipes out the price difference on the two platforms
With the example you gave for the makeup- the best way to approach this situation is to list them on poshmark first (I've never seen anyone getting banned for posting a large quantity of nwt/nib on poshmark) and slowly trickle them onto ebay. You might think people won't buy makeup on poshmark because of the shipping price, but they will. People will make large bundles of makeup on poshmark and I know many sellers who do really well with this model on posh. I do a lot of retail arbitrage and I've never gotten requests for invoices on ebay...most of my items sell better on poshmark so I usually list everything there and over time I put them on ebay here and there.
Tell me you’ve never done amazon without telling me . Amazon is so easy, once you get into the flow it’s just shipping things to the warehouse. Easy to get ungated with progress and invoices.
@@TheShmoodledthe average profit margins on amazon are between 5-15%, if I’m being honest? There’s way better businesses than ecommerce. I enjoy selling on eBay but at the end of the day I’m making more outside of ecommerce.
Mornin Jake, wow really with all your abilities are you becoming psychic now? Lol. I’ve been wondering about the whole Amazon thing u hear so much about can’t be that easy. I figured if Jake hasn’t put it out there yet. can’t be all that. thanks for this video so appreciate you brother you have a great day out there chasing those millions 🤑💵💰🤑💵💰🤑💵💰
I’m new so forgive my curiosity. Were your parents business people? You have really reverse engineered and broken down the reselling process. I enjoy your content.

5 to 10 minute videos would be perfect for me personally. Thanks for the great info. Jay

Any thoughts on building an antique eBay store?

Would you mind doing a video on how you take apart a vacuum and sell the parts or how you test remote controls. Love the videos and the advice man.

Great content, very helpful. Could you discuss suspending activity on eBay? Perhaps because of health or vacations. Thank you. Pete
I need a video on the new shipping changes please. I’m clueless and what do you plan on doing
Hello, I have a little question about selling items on eBay.
If I want to sell new items, must I define it as unbranded items to avoid any issues?
How much more money in percent on average you can get on Amazon over ebay for products?
Personally I think Amazon is overrated, the amount of fees and returns you gotta deal with? Just a pain imo
Tell me you’ve never done amazon without telling me .

@@Dslicckest1ive done amazon and yes it gets easy but hes right fees are very high and return frauds common. Still profitable but it has its troubles
@@Dslicckest1 I have, it’s a very heavy cash flow business, clearly you’ve never sold enough on amazon if you think it’s easy lmao

It’s also a good to transition to Print on Demond through Printify and Printful, but margins are lower and it requires some artistic creation.

I had huge issues with items "not arriving" with FBA, even though everything else in the box got there.
