I have the exact same radio as you do. And it is very nice, pretty powerful!!, I have not installed my Reverse Camera yet, but I will use the red wire from the back plug and connected it to the reverse light positive lead. That sends the signal, and the radio picks it up. I am also thinking about connecting another hot wire, to have it available to view while driving.

I run my reverse camera all day long every day for more than 8 years and it’s still work today and I bought the cheapest one. So I don’t think its an issue. Same thing with my other cars

For anyone using this video as a guide be careful using those blue heloc connectors they will cause issues to your wires, but good info thanks.
