Back when a shoot out was actually special
The Rams-Chiefs game recently was a blast, but I do hope as a fan that the shootouts do not increase. I think low-scoring games are generally more fun.
Stfu
@@michaelthornton4529 who were you saying that to?
@@billybaggins1443 No worries. Real football fans like it smashmouth.
I am not in the slightest, a Browns fan, but I was sad that this team went 10-6 and missed the playoffs. Nobody was beating New England that year in the AFC, but I think they could have made noise. It's always a shame when 10-6 doesn't get you in.
as a packers fani think ur right
the year the browns went 10-6, and still missed the playoffs
Yup. Another team must've had either the same record with better stats, or a better record, which kicked the Browns out of the 2nd wild card spot.
In Week 17 the as usual Colts rested their starters against Tennessee, and Tennessee won. Cleveland needed Tennessee to lose to get in.
Pittsburgh won the division with a 10-6 record as they swept Cleveland.
Thanks colts...
If they hadn't rested Peyton Manning and the starters, Tennessee would've been spanked and missed the playoffs. Cleveland would've snuck in and played the Chargers in the wild card.
They had another game that was a shootout. Can't remember the year, but I do remember two games where both teams put up a lot of numbers against each other
2004. 58-48 Bengals won.
@@robsmith961 you got it. Thank you. Lol
The 2007 browns were nice squad
Hey can you upload either Titans vs Browns Week 12 2001 or Browns vs Titans Week 3 2002?
Glenn Holt caught CTE on multiple plays and stayed in the game jesus
Braylon Edwards could of been great but oh well also you'll never see Cleveland put 51 on anybody nowadays
Ahh. The good ole days before Chad Johnson changed his name to Ochocinco and fell off. I miss those.
Also before Braylon Edwards' hands turned to granite...
how did he fall off
Chad Johnson is his name not Ocho whatever
Browns win
Do the 2004 game between these two it was 58-48
2007 was such a successful season for the Browns. Derek Anderson making it to the Pro Bowl, plus they had Jamal Lewis, Jurevicious, Kellen Winslow, Cribbs, Edwards you name it. They accomplished that year and they did it.
Well, except for the playoffs...
@@Eduar6996 10-6 tho
It really is a shame that Winslow had all those injury issues. The guy was so talented when he was on the field.
I'm so bummed we couldnt get in the playoffs with this team, what a fun year that really made me a big fan of football
That first Cincy drive: Where was the defense?!
BTW I love that this channel isn't afraid to use the term "shootout". Unlike those who do broadcasts of NCAA FB and have turned the Red River Shootout into the Red River Showdown....How lame.
SPTO blame AT&T they are the ones that made them rename it “Rivalry” and later “Showdown”
3 years before this game, “The Shootout by the River”
Derek Anderson made the Pro Bowl that year. Let that sink in...
Well he deserved it
Those mid 2000s browns were actually pretty good, Jamal Lewis, Who was later replaced by Peyton Hillis, Derek Anderson, Braylon Edwards, and last but not least Joshua take it to the cribbs.
Well it was good for the browns
He did play very well that year so.
He was exceptional that year. It was Arguably the best season for a Browns QB since they returned in 1999. I just wish he was able to build off that success though.
It's a damn shame this browns team missed the playoffs this year. It wouldve been interesting to see what they couldve done
Back during this season, the fantasy league I was in let you make waiver claims DURING the game. I grabbed Anderson to back up Brady once I saw him start ballin. 😂😂 So much fun that year.
Like these Browns uniforms much better.
ridiculous to even change them. It's a classic look. I've heard they will be going back to something similar in 2020.
Na....these are too boring.
Idk I always hated these Brown unis, I think the new ones are dope in my opinion
I couldn't disagree more. The new ones are much, much better.
As a diehard Cleveland sports fan, both the new and the old ones are great, but the older ones have a classy look, I hope the new ones in 2020 are a mix of both
Derek Anderson’s coming out party. He had a great season that year. Beat our Ravens twice as I recall. Nonetheless, they were a fun team to watch that season.
Still remember cardinals press conference lmao
Just like last year... losing by a touchdown in a game we had a chance to win. We may have scored more points back then, but the losses were still as hard to swallow.
Braylon Edwards was fun to watch even though he had a fairly short career
he made great catches then would drop the easy ones. I remember one game where he dropped 2 hail marys! pretty sure the videos are on here
@@SocialAssasin He made that diving catch because he knew no one was around. Any time he'd run across the middle forget it because he was scared of contact.
@@dfresh1524 yea he did go to Michigan. Can't expect too much from him!
Rudi Johnson auburn great rb
Braylon was still pretty good for the Jets, he just had to deal with Butt Fumble as his QB
jamal lewis and chad johnson got hall of fame numbers but doubt they’ll ever get in, especially chad. but jamal lewis has a ring and a 2000 yard season and over 10k yards
Jamal getting in
Chad will be in. He had 6 pro bowls and led his conference in receiving yards four straight seasons and led the league in 2006.
@@robsmith961 bro go look at Wrs got left out, leading your conference dnt mean shit
@@jayvontaymoore1 So what WRs have been left out? And you are saying it means absolutely nothing that you were number one in receiving yards out of 16 teams? Chad had the numbers and he made numerous fabulous catches every season. His numbers say he deserves to be in and personally watching him gives me conviction that he deserves to be in.
@@robsmith961 Chad Johnson also had the personality, love him or hate him he was definitely one of the most memorable/iconic NFL players of the 2000's era, which I'm sure will one day guarantee his spot in the HoF
Forget Chiefs-Rams in 2018, this was the true shootout.
Next week post another amazing game from the 2007: Browns v Ravens 33-30 A historic game for the NFL.
Palmer had 500 plus yards and 6 td’s ochocinco had 200 plus and 2 td’s and tj had 125plus and 2 td’s and they lost wow
Ya i guess the bengals got to him mentally to threaten retirement lmao
Awesome game. The play by play guy was awful. Needed Kevin Harlan or Gus Johnson calling the game
What about Joe Buck
Both are legends
What about both?
It was the Browns. You get 5th-string commentators most of the time unless the other team is big time. Then you get Greg Gumbel.
10:03 nice touchdown
War eagle ur right
Season Ticket Holder here....More of theses games please..those were some good times
Week 2 of the 2007 NFL season was the battle of Ohio between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns.
This is my first football memory I have from growing up is going to this game and it hooked me after that
war eagle 🦅 Auburn
God damn I miss Vickers
Miss rudi Johnson
First football game I ever went to. Thanks for the upload
Hi NFL, how come you guys pretend the NFL started sometime around 1990? I look and I see nothing from the 40s, 50s, 60s or even 70s.....I would love to watch some old games like the when the Giants (your Giants, not MLB) still played at the Polo Gounds, the Eagles at Shibe Park and Steelers at Forbes Field. You should embrace your history as the MLB does with theirs, not hide it
Ronnie B it’s not hidden a lot of the footage sucks in quality. NFL Films has great quality film of that old stuff. But this channel is for TV broadcast highlights, and most (but not all) of those suck prior to 1990
Pro football was a backwater sport in the US until the 1958 NFL championship changed everything. Even then it took a while for it to catch up to baseball. The MLB was the marquee league of the 30s-40s-50s which explains why they have a much richer archive. I don’t think anyone at that time expected football to take off as it did, so there wasn’t as much urgency to get good footage of it.
Man there were some names on that Browns O. Anderson, Lewis, Vickers, Edwards, Winslow and Cribbs were all like 85+ OVR on Madden. And that’s only the specialists.
The crawl at the bottom with scores around the league really sells it. Can you imagine watching a 17-16 contest and seeing the numbers for this game and being "Wait... WHAT?"
I have this game on DVD.
Cpassballer Do you have the express written consent of the NFL and CBS?
@@TheMissingLink2 Lol yes
NIKO SAMUELS As soon as I saw your comment, and noticed the channel liked it, I thought of that one scene from family guy. Hilarious.
Lebron James is a racist hater, but I love Cleveland.
8:27 That middle draw to Jamal Lewis is just so perfectly well done. He went untouched.
was a load
As a Bengals it hurts to watch being torched by Derek Anderson and the Browns. I don’t completely blame the whole team but I do blame the defense. Our cornerbacks and secondary was trash asf
Awesome as hell
Its sad to think about how much the Bengals wasted Palmer's career
The funny thing is that this isn’t even the highest scoring browns bengals game in a 4 year span. The bengals won a 58-48 game like three years earlier.
This is one of the most underrated games in NFL history
I miss the old Reebok uniforms :/
Can yall upload the halloween saints vs steelers throwback? Like so they can see this.
Back when football was still football.
Yeah man so true . I'm watching this on Sunday bc nfl on 2023 is complete trash
This game was on my 38th birthday, im so glad my brownies won this one
These are the kind of games where unless you’re a fan of one of the teams you want the home team to win
Great game
War eagle 🦅. Rudi Johnson
That was the best team the Browns had in years. And they still missed the playoffs.
10-7 shoulda got um in but the AFC was TUFF that year smh
The last time them Brownies had swagger.........that is until now 😏
When The Browns Went 10-6 & Miss The Playoffs
yep
the edwards touchdown at 10:00 is just awesome.
Michigan great
51 points? When was the last time the Browns ever came close to that? Well, except that shitty game vs the raiders that ended in a 45-42 loss last season...
Playoff victory vs the steelers 2020. 48 points
That year we needed the colts to win they didn't play there starters that night of course p.manning was playing back when
This makes me feel old, i remember this game as clear as day and it almost 20 years ago and look how much game presentations have changed since then
Forget the super bowl, this one was like a game of retro bowl (fellow players will get the reference)
Lmao fr
Jamal lewis turned back the clock one more time and then injuries
Classic "Defense: Optional" type game.
Browns fans, would you be cool with the team putting the dog logo on the helmet or go back to the old school BROWNS on the helmet or do you like the helmet the way it is? I think they need a logo to embrace a new era.
Fun game to always rewatch
i was about to be 7
i remember going to a preseason game against the jets this season with my mom
i will always be a lifelong browns fan through 0-16 through hopefully a ring with baker
Miss this era back when it was still smashmouth
Only 4 AFC Central Division Cincinnati Bengals Cleveland Browns Houston Oilers and Pittsburgh Steelers from 1970 through 1993 era
Rudi Johnson was down.
De-fense? What is this "de-fense" you speak of?
Jamal Lewis is a beast!
Holt had one heck of a game. Got nailed in the first half and held on, came back in the fourth quarter gets nailed again and holds on again.
Rip Chris Henry
Bengals defense performed horrendously
browns defense wasnt good either
Wow 96 points
You know your defense sucks when you allow 51 points to the Browns.
Great Game! 😎🤘
If we win this game we wouldn’t have gone 7-9 tbh
Iron bowl of ohio
Bad chad
I worked this game and it was crazy..i still work at the games
The BROWNS? 50+??? I dont believe my eyes
Only the Bengals could lose like this
So you are saying that the makeup and formula of this particular team is the only one capable of losing a game like this?
Rush Vogel Dude the Bengals do shit like this all the time. Like the 2015 wildcard
@@squilliam0909 I am basing my comment on your original comment. I like precise language (which is why it is probably not good for me to go on UA-cam comment sections). You are saying ONLY the Bengals could lose like this. Really? Last I checked, shoot-outs happen quite frequently, and the Bengals are not the only team that loses in them. Kansas City lost two shoot-outs this year (Patriots and Rams games), so I am not sure how only the Bengals can do it.
Rush Vogel No it is that the Bengals play good the whole game but just fall apart
@@squilliam0909 Browns have lost like this countless times
do the jaguars vs dolphins 62-7
Were they replacement refs? they kept flinching
Jamal Lewis cuts where god like
Carson ”Interception” Palmer.
sooooo many penalties if they were playing in the modern nfl unnecessary roughness everywhere
Kaleo Bastio back then it was necessary. You’d try to demoralize the other team by just beating the crap out of them
Toilet Bowl I, 2007. I'm from Ohio so I can say that. Lots of great wasted talent in this video smh
BrotherApexx browns went 10-6 in 2007, still missed playoffs though 😂
I'm going to take a guess and say 96 points will not be scored Sunday.
ROMEO CRENNEL was our last good coach.... go browns... go baker.. go kitchens
Kitchens sucked! Stefanski doing much better.
