I am not in the slightest, a Browns fan, but I was sad that this team went 10-6 and missed the playoffs. Nobody was beating New England that year in the AFC, but I think they could have made noise. It's always a shame when 10-6 doesn't get you in.

Hi NFL, how come you guys pretend the NFL started sometime around 1990? I look and I see nothing from the 40s, 50s, 60s or even 70s.....I would love to watch some old games like the when the Giants (your Giants, not MLB) still played at the Polo Gounds, the Eagles at Shibe Park and Steelers at Forbes Field. Pro football was a backwater sport in the US until the 1958 NFL championship changed everything. Even then it took a while for it to catch up to baseball. The MLB was the marquee league of the 30s-40s-50s which explains why they have a much richer archive. I don’t think anyone at that time expected football to take off as it did, so there wasn’t as much urgency to get good footage of it.
