1646 yards in 14 games
With Brandon Weeden, Brian Hoyer and Jason Campbell throwing the ball.
THAT'S.......... why they play the games.
Thats Absurd imagine if he had a decent qb with a good team.
@@chrisuncleahmad i can hear that in my head
I had to think about the comment. I wasn't ascribing the numbers the to the right stats the proper way.....there are no words.
The madness that is Josh Gordon
& now with Mahomes this shh fin be fun
Josh Gordon in his prime could arguably be one of the greatest deep route contested catching receivers of all time
And this was the best moment Chad Henne would have against the Cleveland Browns in his career. Yep. Can’t think of anything else.
It is. Because all he did for the chiefs was throw a few 1st downs to 2 with one of the best pass catching corps in the NFL but after that superbowl ass whooping I have to admit the chiefs might have been better off if henne was the QB instead of mahomes.
@Ryan Irwin- Diehl Not at all. The Chiefs were barely up in the first place by the time Mahomes was hurt.
U mean chad Johnson
Not Gon Lie Josh Gordon Deserved A Blunt After This Performance 😂Lol
Sadly he put up 200 again vs my team the Steelers...I'm pretty sure the next week
FOR REAL
@@fredleeland2464 nah it would be the week before
😂😂😂
that’s funny
The Chad Henne vs Brandon Weeden QB duel we all expected
Battle of CFB legends
brando. Weeden is the chris weinke of his era being a 30 year old college qb
@@erics2739 As a Browns fan I was honestly not too disappointed with Weeden. Compared to a ton of the QB play we have had over the years he wasn't terrible. If he would have had a competent front office a d coaching staff I think he would have been much more successful. Would he have been Baker? Hell no. I though Hoyer was way better for us than he got credit for.
NFL legends 😤
@@jedimindtrix2142 hoyer was wrongfully hated on by browns fans
They led the division and then they lost two in a row and the fans were just like "give us manziel"
That reaction by fans in 2014 is a big reason I think they're the worse fans in the league, don't appreciate ish
@@fredleeland2464 Most fans aren't savvy enough about the game to understand the nuances. Hoyer was the best QB other than Mayfield we have had in a while. In fact I'd love to see him as a back up to Mayfield. I thought he did well by the Browns for sure. He had a couple very impressive games especially that one against Tennessee where he set a passing/TD come back record. Epic.
The fact that he did this with Brandon Weeden is basically the greatest achievement in the history of football. The crazy thing is that with a competent qb he would probably have had a 2000 yard season.
Dude if he played all 16 games he probably would have had. 2K yard season
Multiple, even....
He has been doing that since his high school days LHS
A competent QB wouldn't have been caught dead playing for the Browns back then.
@@mkeogh76 that's true. The only thing is that who else would that competent qb throw to? Devon bess and the skeleton of willis mcghee?
He had the potential to be a top 5 receiver for years to come :(
@aaaredskin it was more than that
He could have been Calvin Johnson like
@@DoomsGameshe ran routes better
To all Browns fans out there....you are nothing but true fans. Respect!! All the best to you this season. You deserve competent football.
Didn't think this game would be a fun shootout but it was. We got the win but Josh Gordon had a incredible performance.
I remember this one vividly. The Jaguars started the season 0-8, and legitimately looked like the worst team in NFL history. At one point, the Broncos were favored by four touchdowns over them. Every game in the first half of the season was decided by double digits. After four possessions against the 49ers, the 49ers led 28-0.
And then, the Jags somehow rattled off wins in four of their next five games. Chad Henne to Cecil Shorts in the back of the end zone is etched into my memory. Never been more proud of a Jags team than during that stretch
On this day, No passer ratings worse than if you spiked the ball into the ground on every single play.
Henne: 74.5
Weeden: 94.8
What I remembered is Cecil Shorts burned Joe Haden for a game winning TD and then Haden post game was all in his feelings 😂😂😂
@@Terror832 Like Old Times Sir
I remember seeing the end of this on TV. It was like the 4th bonus coverage game.
Also Kevin Harlan is a legend.
If Josh Gordon didn’t go for 261, Kevin Harlan would have been MVP of this game.

@@heavyizthacrown-5842 lol troll
Also, looking back, MAAAAAAAN, does it feel good to at least have a competent team to watch. I swear, for 14 years, it was a lot of this folks... Glad to be competent, respectable, and ready to play. Not turning it over on 4 straight possessions.
Congrats Cleveland, you guys suffered through it. I’m curious: is Baker Mayfield the QB *YOU* would’ve chosen to lead the team? Or maybe someone else…if I’m a Cleveland fan, I think you give Baker two seasons MAX to get that Browns team deep into the playoffs! Lamar already has an MVP award, Baker has to battle and make Cleveland a winner! (IMO)
@@heavyizthacrown-5842 bruh two years it took three to get us outta irrelevancy this will take more than one good season stupid ass take on baker's longevity with this franchise.
The Browns had such garbage rosters back then it always looked like they were playing a different game then all the other good teams
HeavyIzThaCrown - we aren’t a playoff team without baker. He is our guy. He took over an 0-16 team and took them to and got a win in the playoffs in 3 seasons. We live or die with baker... what is the alternative? Our roster is ready to win NOW.
I remember us fans were just happy to play close games against good teams even tho we knew browns would find a way to blow it, I'm glad browns have gotten out of football hell
Josh Gordon is one of the more sad stories in recent times. The guy had so many chances to redeem himself yet he was more interested in lighting up the doobie. That said, the policy regarding weed is backwards as hell as was the US' enforcement of laws against weed usage.
Nonetheless Gordon had the kind of talent that could've seen him as a near HOF type. One can say a lot of things about the guy but you can't deny he had talent that few players could ever dream of having.
It was more then weed
Agreed, but since the NFL changed the drug policy, they didn’t allow him to come back. I do hope and pray he’ll come back stronger
@@jimbrown5743 This is true though the weed aspect was his biggest bugaboo for some time.
He is currently filed for reinstatement
Self inflicted wound
This is the first Browns game I was ever able to attend in my life, and of course, Brandon Weeden and Chad Henne had to spoil it for me. Here's to hoping that when I go the Cardinals vs Browns game this season it won't end in defeat for CLE.
I'm excited for the browns this year. Chubb lights it up i hope
As a 9er fan, I hope ya’ll destroy those mfs 😂 don’t be surprised if that game turns out to be a shootout 👀
@@808mitch trey lance will tear it up when he gets his chance
@@jimbrown5743 Yessir 💯
In the early days of FanDuel, Josh Gordon printed me some money this day.
He got over 261 on a game and probably was fully sedated. Some players should be allowed to play that way if it shows no effect on their game.
It’s hard enough to get them to stop testing for it now you want to make it a harder and dumber process by selectively choosing who plays high. Makes no sense even to a high person.
Josh Gordon had the skills and the physical gifts to become one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history. It's hard to say he could've been better than Rice because a big part of Rice's legacy is his longevity, and we have no idea if Gordon could've played at a high level for 20 years. But as far as pure receiving skill, I think Josh Gordon was as good as anybody to ever play in the NFL...and that includes Jerry Rice. That is what makes Josh Gordon's career so unbelievably sad. He absolutely threw away a HOF career AT THE MINIMUM! All because he liked drugs more than he liked money.
Josh Gordon easily would've made $100,000,000+ over the course of his career if he had stayed sober...then he could've spent the rest of his life smoking and shooting that $100,000,000 away in the comfort of a huge mansion. Instead he torpedoed his career so quickly that I doubt he even made 1/10th of $100,000,000. I know that there were several pro athletes who died young and never reached their full potential, but Josh Gordon is absolutely one of the most egregious cases of wasted potential in the entire history of pro sports. His NFL career is now over as he's been permanently banned from the league for his 5,000 different failed drug tests. He's been relegated to playing for the "Zappers" in the Fan Controlled Football League.
And the story continues.. lol. 33rd times the charm? Hopefully.
@@0ptimal Frankly, I find it disgusting that the NFL has even let the dude back in again. I believe in second chances for MOST things (not VIOLENT crimes), and that includes getting fired from your job for using drugs...especially when the drug use doesn't seem to affect your performance one bit. But this has got to be like Josh Gordon's 57th chance at this point. It's beyond ridiculous. I know how tough drug addiction can be (especially because I am almost certain that with Josh Gordon, we are NOT just talking about "weed"), but Gordon had access to the best treatment centers on Earth when he was in the NFL. As a Browns fan, I KNOW that the organization did everything they possibly could to try and help him...and he rejected that help and abused that trust EVERY SINGLE TIME! He shouldn't be rewarded anymore.
He was in that T.O. Julio Jones realm. With some noticeable shades of Calvin Johnson. And when I say this I mean physique, WR style of play and overall peak performance. A shame that he couldn’t have finished out the season for the patriots in 2018-2019.
Josh Gordon could've been competing against Megatron on "who is the Best WR" during this time..but he couldn't lay off the weed...such a shame
You're So Cool Mr West

What do you mean, Flash Gordon approaching?
FLASH............... AAAHHHH
SAVIOR OF THE UNIVERSE
I would love to see a 30 for 30 featuring Josh Gordon and Johnny Manziel. The Best That Never Was.
Good idea and good title!
He was special, and the fact he came back cold after a few years out of the game and almost had a 1000 yards with the Pats was crazy. HOF talent...
Man I love Baker. Watching Weeden throw gives me PTSD lol
I would’ve smoked a blunt after this game too. That was brutal. I think I was watching this game. That shovel pass omg. I’m so grateful for the Browns team we have now
10:00 that is what is was like to be at a Browns game back then. You knew they were going to lose, you just didn't know how. And the how was usually the part that made you laugh or want to kill someone
Josh Gordon would have been something special if he wasn’t suspended😢😢
Him and Justin Blackmon could've torn up the league in the 2010s. So much talent. So much fun to watch when they were on their A-games
@@OfficialJaguarGator9 Ironically, Blackmon and his college teammate- Weeden- were on opposing sides here.
And suspended again. Then again. Once more, oops happened again, maybe this time...nope. one more shot? Uuuugh.
As a jags fan im trying to forget 2011-2014. Pls
Yep, the era of the OTHER sunshine. It's Trevor time now, and Glaine Babbert is a distant memory.

Thank you, and good luck to you guys as well!
I’m so starving for football I’m watching Jaguars Browns highlights from 8 years ago
Maurice Jones-Drew was my favorite running back in those day man I miss that era
I had almost forgot how much I liked Buster Skrine.
Sounds like a highlight heaven title 🧐🤔
This was an unexpected entertaining game I remember watching it live
Guess who was smart and drafted Josh Gordon on their fantasy team that year? It was especially nice because dudes were yelling “reach!” When I picked him up 8th round.
“I was gonna be a Hall of Famer, but then I got high, then I got high.”
Wish Gordon could’ve stayed clean he’s a generational talent
I mean it's not he was an pill fiend or coke head, he just likes weed, there had be to other issues going on that stunted his career
Haden in his prime
We also get a Jordan Poyer sighting
See. We REALLY drafted Brandon” Stuck under the flag “ Weeden at 28 years old !🙄🙄🙄
They traded Julio Jones for him too
Totally forgot mcgahee played for the browns dam time goes on!🥵
I like those jaguars jerseys.
Bruh i remember the dude i was going against im fantasy had Josh gordon that week 😭
Gordon and blackmon couldve been the leagues best wideouts.. both were absolute monsters

so desperate for football that im watching a browns-jaguars game. God help me
I’d watch a Cowboys game right now
What makes Josh Gordon’s performance so great in this game is the fact that Brandon Weeden was the one throwing him the ball. The fact that he could put up those numbers with a well below average QB is incredible.
I miss this Josh Gordon.
Favorite game that I’ve ever been to.
God I'm so glad the Browns are good now.
Man, I miss TJ ward. Dude was an absolute monster in the field
NFL Throwback finally posts a game the Jags won!!
Josh Gordon was coming to his own, it’s just a shame that he ruined his own career by his mistakes off the field
on top of that it was only WEED. coke, meth, PCP, sure. ruining one of the best young WR's career over some damn tree? fuckin dumb.

Joe Haden - 3x Pro Bowl
Buster Skrine - Oh Well
The only WR to ever have back to back 200 yard games! Naturally, the Browns lost both those games because of course we would 😂
Cali in the Building, #12 Josh Gordon been tht Guy dnt het it twisted💯💯💯🍻
He was a mix between Julio Jones & Terrell Owens
Dam forgot TJ Ward was on the browns. He was definitely a force on that 2015 Broncos defense. Prolly happy he got outta Cleveland lol
So sad we never got to see his career fully blossom
as a steelers fan joe thomas was so dang good i believe it was 15 when all afc north teams 8 weeks into the season were all in playoff contention that year the browns went on a horrendous losing streak and didnt make the playoffs
It was 14. We were 7-3 going into week 11.
In the intro Kevin Harlan sounded like he wanted to end it all man lol
He wit the titans now do this for us #Titanup
The Strain that made Josh Gordon Famous up next
You should do Saints vs Patriots 2009 highlights
I can't believe some of the stiffs we had over the years. Weeden boy what a reach that was!
Dude was an absolute dawg!
Even tho we beat Cleveland that year, Gordon shredded Ike Taylor the week before as well for over 200 yards. That kid had all the potential.
17:12 Play of the game for Cleveland
18:41 Play of the game for Jax
I will say even though Baker Mayfield catches a lot of criticism, people do forget we rolled the likes of Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell out there, oh how far have we came... I wonder what Josh Gordon in his prime could of looked like if he wasn’t suspended all the time and had Baker Mayfield
Gibson, Skrine, Mingo what is this the 2020 Chicago bears
My man Gordon had one of them Megatron games 🔥🔥
Should've been a hall of famer smh
Chad Henne has a thing for beating Cleveland.
He does
He did all this while being high and drunk 😵
Haden gave that game away
I think something about being under the influence made Josh play at a higher level. Substance can take away fear, doubt, and put some people in a mental state that maybe they can't get to naturally.
That said, I still think he's got some of this talent left, just needs these types of targets. He was used and trusted heavily. Which would require the coaches and qb to see the potential. If Mahomes makes a good on the field connection w Josh, we could see something. I'm hoping.
This Browns team finished 4-12, yet had 6 Pro Bowlers. 2 of which Jordan Cameron and Josh Gordon had great seasons despite the QB carousel of Brian Hoyer, Jason Campbell, and Brandon Weeden. This Browns team showed promise early by starting 3-2 but fell off after losing Brian Hoyer.
Josh Gordon was one hail Mary away from breaking the NFL record for yards in a game and it would have been in regulation. Amazing.
Dude was probably high during this game.
Back when Gordon had two games back to back going over 200 yards receiving and not a blunt of weed insight.
11:09 Flash Gordon must have been on something to get up from that hit with no problem.
He could've been the best receiver in NFL history if it weren't for drugs. That man was DYNAMITE when he had the ball.
I love these Brown's uniforms
Browns fans Im sure hurt when they see what this young man couldve been. Very sad.
If weed suspensions were outruled sooner, Josh Gordon would be a hall of famer.

Just imagine how great this team would have been if they had a decent quarterback
What About Alshon Jeffrey's 200 Yard Game?
Aye let him smoke though
If Gordon hadn't sabotaged his career, we'd be adding him to the G.O.A.T. debate.
All while being a pothead. He deserved a bonus for being able to play like that while smoking weed.
so sad for how things went down for flash gordon
Josh at 17:00 ate up 80 yards zig zagging in 7 seconds, smh
Man Brandon weeden was so bad can’t believed I had to watch him for more than one season
