I heard the inventor of it died a while ago so I never bothered :(
Why not use 7zip though ? It's entirely free and doesn't look garbage like winrar

People don't even need to use a crack, just a license key added into the installation directory and it's unlocked for a lifetime.
That said, I probably should make a donation as I've been using it for years and years, and years.

Even though I haven't used Mac, the idea that on Mac if you close an app it's still running bothers me so much.
I thought t would be insane too but it’s really not. Sometimes useful if you close a tab that on windows _would_ have completely quit the app.
It’s not that bad. I don’t even think about it.
The first thing that will happen to you working on MacOs coming from Windows will be accidently closing the app when typing in your E-mail address.. (alt+q = @, in MacOs = Quit the app).
For real 😂
It's not running like you think. Application sits in memory (about 150 MB of ram), and it doesn't use any of other resources. Pretty handy for most apps used regularly and daily (browsers, mail and productivity apps).

Love Sam Tucker, no matter which side he is supporting (for 5 min at least) !!
2:18 Too much options can actually be a good thing, because it feels like your choices matter and you want your setup to cater to your use case. And also if the combinations of choices synergies in a lot of different ways, then you can go down the rabbit hole and dive deeper and deeper into the Iseberg and you can carve out a niche for yourself and make your setup truly yours. The downside is that there isn't that many simple guides to navigate through such options.
My friends bought me a Winrar licence and proof of ownership for my 18th bday which I promptly framed and hung above my desk lol

0:58 that I got used to in no time on mac and now hate that on windows you have to guess where everything is.
I used to install DOS and Windows from those stacks of floppy discs. The arrival of the CDROM drive helped, although you had to install an IDE or Soundblaster card to make those work.
I've been using Windows for years, and I can honestly say that I agree with everything Sam Tucker says in this video. Windows is simply the best operating system out there, and it's not even close.
The problem is that the company kept making Windows having worse and worse experience as life go on.

I agree, cheers!
I'm using all of the OSs and I gotta say:
Just internet browsing: Linux or MacOS (especially when it comes to battery life then Mac's ARM is now the king), Windows is kinda heavy for that and those automatic updates sometimes breaks some stuff
Programming: Linux or MacOS - in most cases and Windows only if you are .NET or game developer
Gaming: Only windows, but this slightly changes in favor of Linux thanks to steamdeck
Funny Ive had both and now back to Apple to stay. I jesy prefer every aspect about it period!😁
ads in start menu are on their own a deal-breaker. how are people even ok with that.
It's a bit nasty, but super easy to remove.
@@miguelsilva9118 people make fun of apple for so many things... imagine apple preinstalling tiktok ads on the dock... oh would endless videos be made about it... but good to know...
by the way, do you happen to know how to set the default folder that opens when you open a new file explorer window? maybe some 3rd party app? I have no choice but to use win at work, and it drives me bonkers.
I can put up with / deal with removing the start menu ads. It's the ones within the settings menus that bug me. I am just changing power settings, why do I need an advert for Office there. . .??
What bugs me most on "newer" Windows is that you don't have an analog clock anymore :/
Windows Xp and older OSes didn't have them either
Windows is great, because you do a whole lot of crap to it, and get it in a weird state where it breaks from time to time, but you can fix is just by restarting explorer.exe (and closing your browser).
When he makes these things I'm like "this feels like peak level trolling."
I don't know why, but when I watched Your video I always laughed 😂
It isn't really even in question anymore. If you look into the history of Windows development, MS has invested massive resources and dev time over the years, and that gap is starting to show.
Of course all of the major OSs' have niches where they tend to excel, and they all have their sets of problems, but if you want to game and be able to do just about anything else, there isn't really another choice.
I say this as someone with 15+ years of experience working with all 3 major OSs at enterprise scale (although there really isn't much at that level that runs on MacOS), and a lifelong user of all of them. I really am not a fanboy of any OS, because they're just tools. This is just what I see.
I also have gotten back into MacOS for personal use after several years, using it exclusively for about a month now, and I have to say some of the "design philosophy decisions" are starting to feel more like rough edges, and them trying to abstract the user out of the filesystem kind of makes my head hurt. That said, the apple silicon MacBook Pro experience is quite satisfying overall.
Sam if this is your way of telling us you've run out of your meds we'll helicopter some in for you right away.
Out with anger, in with love.

Even when they're happy they dont look happy. Damn that's some deep Truth
On Win 10 there are barely any updates.
I never get blue screens. Seriously. Only happend in the past when I had some serious hardware fails.
I build my own PCs. Make sure mainboard and grafic card come from the same company (ASUS is my favorite). I make sure teh CPU is optimized for my windows version. (had some issues there in way back, when updating hardware but not the windows version)
Windows gets its own partition with plenty of extra space. No games on there. No storage for vids, pics or anything else on there. Only utility progs.
I check autostart from time to time and deactivate everything that is not absolutely needed.
International Blue Screen Day 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The close button and the app menu on top of the os are actually pretty important to some. Also, maximize button?
The thing that's really better in Macos is installing/removing apps
My life goal is to get so drunk that i’d buy a winrar licence 😂
These are great!

Windows' greatest benefit is that it can be easily used in a large company environment because of the active directory and many functions for central configuration and maintenance.
MacOs costs you roughly twice or three times for professional maintenance.
Most professional apps are made for Windows. The only exception is that I call them the artists. However, if a large company only uses Macs, that would prove they have too much money. Yes, apple itself has so much money because of its ridiculous prices.

I love Mac hardware but Windows is king. I used them all Mac OS, Linux and Windows and after some time I came back to the same reality. Things are just easier in Windows. The thing I love are free like snapping a window to each side of the screen. You don't need an App Store to install most applications though in later versions it is more of a pain to get them setup without an online account. Games run better and all hacking tools are really made in Windows unless you are wanting to do jailbreaking on iPhones there usually Mac OS will be required. @@bojanstojanovic5465 maybe. If a user has brains he's definitely very safe in windows as well.
