I've been feeling these types of brain buzzes for years. Sometimes, I feel like I can hear them! Almost like a fairy wand with buzz. That probably sounds weird, but it's the best I can describe the sound. In my teens, the shocks were so profound, on either the left or right side of the back of my head, that those would result in a painful head pain, not headache, for hours after. I was tested for epilepsy in the late 80s, but no diagnosis was given. The docs said I had anemia and that is why I received the shocks. I am 54 now, and awoke to the lighter, gentler version of the buzz. I do take B12 injections every two weeks because I don't make them. Have no idea if that is related, but just thought I'd share.
The blank stare is the worst because you feel like you're Insane but you're not! Love the info. This gentleman gave. So extremely helpful. You're definitely not alone.
Same here. I was at the doctor today and struggled to explain all the sensations I was feeling in my body-I just couldn’t put it into words. The doctor just gave me a blank stare. I’ll be going for blood tests on Friday to rule out any deficiencies
This happened when I stopped taking my SNRI (against medical advice). It was part of the withdrawal symptoms, and the zaps lasted for at least a couple of weeks. It was awful.
I would get the sensation of a mild electric shock going up my spine from the lumbar vertebrae when riding motorcycle with my husband! From mild electric shock, it progressed to not being able to feel my legs at all, no matter what I was doing. I could walk, but couldn't feel myself walking. Turns out, I had a triple problem in the L4-5 vertebrae: congenital narrowing of the spinal cord, scoliosis, and degenerative arthritis. I ended up with a laminectomy and spinal fusion.
I had neurotoxicity and doctors were trying to patch up symptoms with benzos and Gabapentin. I actually reacted super poorly to those and was having more issues. I ended up stopping them and life got back to normal other than for severe headaches and neck pain. One day, I thought I was ok to go for a hike. After the hike I felt odd. My hands had little tremors and I felt like my nervous system was unhappy. I went to bed and that night my friends was the most terrifying night of my life. I can barely describe the experience. I literally felt and saw electricity going through my body from brain to spine and then in limbs and I awoke with racing heart and SOB with all joint popping and cracking and drenched in sweat. I was dehydrated, had acid base disturbance and I had loss connective tissues and muscle tone overnight. If anyone is able to tell me what happened, it would mean the world. I have been terribly ill since. I have developed EDS MCAS POTS CCI SFN and others. I still don't understand wtf happened that night.
Mee too. They said mri showed I had l4-s1 ddd and MS in mri brain scan. I pray y’all get results here. It is concerning to experience all this. I know. It’s scary.
• Hi I typically don’t comment but I feel like it would just way in my conscious if I knew that someone was desperate for answers and I saw this correlation and didn’t even say anything about it. To preference this is not medical at all I think? I was taking a psychology class at a university in Mexico and one of the books recommended by the professor was: La Tormentosa Búsqueda del Ser Christina Grof y Stanislav Grof Prólogo de Bernadette Blin. It was a free PDF I downloaded and I just stored it in Apple Books and if you go to Apple settings accessibility you will find a feature where Siri would read the “book” to you. I really have not finished the book I just “read” some of the first few pages and what you wrote just reminded me of what the author Christina described happened to her. I’m pretty sure you could find the book online for free and if not your local library may assist you on getting it. I truly hope you get better •
For it was few times when I was just laying down, going to sleep and then it was one single twitch, like I was defibrillated. And I'm wonder still Wtf was that and only hope that it is nothing srs
I have been experiencing this. I work in manufacturing and as a result have had many back and neck issues. In 6'4" and am required to do lots of hunching and contorting. The feeling to me is the weirdest sensation and happen frequently. I actually enjoy the feel. It can be a bit of a scare when walking like whether or not I might fall out but overall the tingle feels quite good. Idk if my condition is the same as being discussed but I feel like it is very similar
I get this when I’m sleeping. Wakes me up and freaks me out. Feels like my heart is even getting shocked. I’m going to try to change my sleep position but I’m always in a ball. I do have severe advanced arthritis of the spine with spurs and my neck has very little curvature left.
Nurses overdosed me in the hospital once ..it was a red vial of liquid supposedly a mood stabilizer- for depressoin - i felt like i was being electrocuted alive- and i am not exaggerating- the pain !! the mental torment !! the convulsions were minor - but it felt like i was in an electric chair with the volume all the way up- i wasn't sure. i was going to live- i drank copious amounts of water to vomit which worked but it took an hour....I wish I knew what happened...my body was not convulsing very much that i noticed ...?
@@alistairarthur what they overdosed me on was supposedly Risperidal - a mood stabilizer..No i think this is very unusual- never heard of painful seizures like that...adhd meds i take those but i dont have addiction or anything im just add so i dont know about an overdose on that...technically you can overdose on anything really even tylenol or sleep meds..so who knows.
Hello just diagnosed cervical Mine happens when I tilt. My head back intense jolt arms belly and legs. Have you had anything patients with that type Thanks
I came across you while looking up hypnic jerk. I was excited to find the title of your youtube subject! I have told several doctors of this problem. But none knew what I was talking about. More importantly, is the constant, unending Buzzing that runs through my head. I have had this for at least 30 years. Twice the buzzing went absolutely quiet. The last time was about 3-4 years ago. I thought I lost my hearing. Shortly, I realized the Buzzing sound stopped. I was so excited. I'd forgotten the sound of silence. The reprieve lasted a very short time. And before I knew it, the sound came back to full sound. No doctor could explain my long and constant Buzzing. One of my family physicians asked me if I also heard voices. I stopped going to him after that. This is a mystery that is yet to be solved.
Guys I'm going to tell you something that I mean with every fiber in my body I don't know if I'm going in crazy or insane but I feel electric static shock in my room which I'm in the attic and I feel that I'm getting zapped and I can hear the sound of static shock on top of my had on the roof or I can see my hands in my hair stick up can someone explain that I'm I believe that I don't know if it's supernatural or as I read humans and some have more conductive electricity in them please I really need this with my fiber and I know that I'm not going crazy but I really believe I feel these electric currents
I had it too. Was scary. Mri showed I had lumbar 5 to sacrum 1 DDD. Mri brain showed abnormal and they suspected MS. I’m praying for everyone. It’s concerning especially when some dr says it “all in your mind” and it really in physical form. This dr on here makes sense. Spinal is injury. Inflammation is autoimmune disease usually. Or infection. I had spinal tap. That “electric like shock” was the same feeling I had with the spinal tap the dr did. That makes me think I injured my nerves doing extreme exercise and weight lifting. Don’t give up. May Jesus lead you to the right doctors.
Bottom line I'm going through it I feel like I'm getting shocked are we getting shocked yesterday that's what I need to know so I know I'm not going crazy cuz this is terrifying and I'm scared of lightning and like I'm scared of two things as a human God and lightning and this electric is terrifying me every time I'm walking at least send me my room I need an answer
I’ve been to the hospital multiple times & they run a few tests & send me on my way…The only other time I experienced this was when I quit taking my ssri, but i’m taking it regularly the same time every day!!!

Thanks for your information, am feeling so scary 😢
This has helped so much. Having their problem and gave me some peace of mind. Now adjust my head around and it stops
Thanks for covering this. I asked my dr about this and got nothing but a blank stare. Its not really scarry, but can be very difficult to tolerate.
Indeed.
