As a young man my gut instinct what is the inspectors were wrong. And thinking about it a little more it makes sense for safety reasons. But still wanted to see it run and I did thank you.
That NHRA official is a miserable old boomer, I appreciate he had a job to do in regards to 'safety' but his attitude towards the event was just disgusting.
Rules are rules and I get it. If the goat rolled up with a big choppy cam or a turbo or something, and it was clearly fast, yes you need safety equipment. But c'mon, I ran a 16.5 at 85 😂. I did 90 routinely on the highway

lol Jess @40mins in makes the video!
Can't believe you drifted into the brine.... Do you have any idea how bad that is for such a straight panneled vehicle? That ceramic coating won't hold 👌👌
Love these type videos man just send it and fix it along the way, just awesome! That had to have been the most unique car there by far there. Pretty awesome content like always! Jsut gotta give her more muscle!
I'm not gonna lie, I was following along on FB and waiting for the end when you get home and the Goat has a Bluesmobile-style death where everything falls off the car down to the frame rails and you just stand there and pay respects to it. I'm glad you saw it through.
Also, that built in radio was probably only ever tuned to one station before you messed with it. The radio station that covers all of Oklahoma in the hellfire and brimstone if you don't believe in the baby Jesus.
It was Totally awesome seeing you go through Las Cruces, New Mexico, my Hometown, saying the Oregon mountain pass. As you go to white sands, you pass the Missile range on the way there and Holloman Air Force base by Alamogordo, where the stealth bombers used to be stored.
Now they're right down the road from me!
whod have thought that Demolition ranch's abandoned hotel wouldnt be the worst to stay in?
those tech guys are stiffs, make an event about drag racing homemade junk and then complain about all the homemade junk that rolls in
Thank you Jim.
@@PoleBarnGarage exactly! Let's be honest if it was any slower down the quarter it would need a rear screen 😂
Thank you again for another great video showing the highs (and serious lows) of a regular Dalton just trying to get across the country for a car event. I look forward to the 4x4 swap on the new van, as well as all the other ongoing projects down at the Pole Barn 👍🇦🇺
That is one admirable woman making driveshafts. She's good. I've been kinda wanting to take off across Kansas, Colorado,New Mexico and Arizona. Never been to the Southwest
Wow what an adventure. Glad you guys made it back home ok.. Needless to say not a big fan of Tucson Dragway. From what i seen of some of the other cars that passed tech the holy goat was no worse. Battery hold down.. neutral safety switch Bullshit.. You can tell those old dudes were pissed for even being there! You need to come over to the east side here and attend some of Cletus's events. They don't call it the freedom factory for nothing!
The owner and staff were so beyond amazing for hearing what happened and taking it upon themselves to make sure we got to run. Nothing but love for those guys and gal!
I mean, it seems like the Dragway was cool, it was the sticklers from NHRA who set the thing up.
Which makes no god damn sense. How do you set up something called "Duct Tape Drags" and then be surprised when something like the Holey goat shows up?
47:00 dude had a case of Grain Belt Premium. Must have been from the upper Midwest? I can't find Grain Belt outside of Minnesota.
He was from Minnesota!
Daaaam, can't hide that UA-cam moneys, that trailer is funking thiccc
I know I know, big time 😂
Cheers mate, love all the vids. Good to see all of the family and friends out with you, JD is a genius, you done a fine job with that kid 👍🏻👍🏻😎
What kinda dogs are those two big fellas that provide insulation and heating in the pole barn?
Gettin the old clock working was cool
@@AH.135are you talking about the brown ones in the couple last videos? If so, those are my shelter mutts. No clue what their breeds are though! Just Heinz 57s :)
When you guys had the bird and goat pulled up next to the single wide i thought i was watching an episode of trailer park boys. Good stuff Dalton, keep it up!
