- In today's vlog, I hike to Golden Falls in Mount Horne, St. Andrew, Grenada! This beautiful sulphur waterfall is both hot AND cold! One part is warm and relaxing while the other part can have you shivering in moments! The hike to get there is no joke! Especially, the last section. I was hanging on to that rope for dear life! However, it was a really fun experience and I'm glad I went. Golden Falls is a sight to behold and I encourage everyone watching to visit for yourselves (if you can) and experience it first hand. It's amazing!

Haha I think it was worth the trouble. Though I’ll be honest, I don’t see myself returning anytime soon. Maybe if that last section is omitted lol. But I was scared!! The waterfall is beautiful though and I loved the warm part. Happy you enjoyed it.

I was getting very excited thinking that was where I went as a group as a young girl but your trek was way too long getting there.
The vision of the spring is in my vision a lot lately I was also telling my children about it. We had to drop money in there and make a wish before going into the sulfur water. I loved every minute of it. It was in the mountain in Byland's St. Andrews.

It’s not very hot actually. It’s warm and relaxing. The only issue is that the water is coming down hard on you and I was trying (unsuccessfully) to not wet my hair lol

I recommend you making a video on the hike to TUFTON falls and rainbow falls there both very beautiful waterfalls and a long hike too
I’ve been told of both of those recently. I heard that Tufton is a really hard one though but I want to go for the experience. Do you know where the Rainbow falls is? You should definitely go to Golden Falls when you’re able to. I’m sorry you didn’t get to go when your friends went. I hope your exam went well though.
Nezzle The place from where you start your trail there’s two tracks one is to go to TUFTON and one is to go to rainbow. There’s also a guide who lives close by he’s a good guide.

I'm missing GRENADA. Coronavirus stopped our travelling to Grenada this year.
Usually we would be there from June and would have enjoyed the carnival the very best in the world.
Grenada carnival takes place in phases of around 7 days.
Different places.
The best I enjoy is what we call JEUVA. That the day every area have their own paint up and music blasting out to the latest soca.
The Kings and Queens are chosen at the STADIUM IN ST GEORGES.
THAT NIGHT IN THE STADIUM YOU MEET AND GREET EVENT. THEY ARE ALL DRESSED UP IN THEIR REGALIA. EACH GROUPS ARE DANCING AND PARADING IN THEIR OWN COLOURS.
IT'S A BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE THE MUSIC IS MIND BLOWING.
MAKES YOU WONDER WHAT MAKE THE OTHER COUNTRIES BELIEVE TRINIDAD AND BRAZIL CAN DO BETTER.
THE COUNTRY IS THE SAFEST AND AT NIGHT TIME THE CROWD ARE EXPRESSING THEIR PLEASURE EACH TIME A NEW QUEEN AND KING COME ON STAGE.
On the last day you have a choice of St Andrews or St David's carnival. This takes place in Sateurs in St Andrews which I love.
Last year myself and family went to both.
We actually decided to take a look a St David's celebration it was okay thousands of people there just like SATEURS it wasn't what we were used to.
Different places have different scenery and the time it takes to walk up from your vehicle is another matter.
You have to choose.
We chose SATEURS that's a beautiful place with a beautiful history.
Leapers Hill where the aboriginal Indians threw themselves off to avoid being subjected to slavery.
JAB JAB IS THE A GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS TARRED UP WITH CHAINS AND OILS ON THEIR HALF NAKED BODIES.
CARRYING SNAKES AND FROGS🤔😫 😁😂😁 AND BLOWING HORNS AND BEATING DRUMS WITH A DEFINITE FEELING OF WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON.
THEN WE HAVE WHAT I CALL THE POWDER MEN AND BOYS DRESSED UP IN WEIRD CLOTHES THEY PASS YOU THROWING POWDER IN YOUR DIRECTION AS IF THEY ARE CLEANING UP THE AIR 😃😂😁.
WE HAVE OIL DOWN, ROTI FISH MEAL , COCOA ,SALTFISH FRITTERS AND LOTS MORE.
Beautiful beach after you paint up. You can travel to the beach to wash off the paint.
Later on in the evening after we rest and freshen up with our party clothes we go to GRENVILLE TIEN FOR THE NIGHT GRAND FINALE.
YOU SEE AT NIGHT ALL THE LIGHTS AND COLOURS OF THE RAINBOWS SHOWS OFF THE DIFFERENT SOUND SYSTEMS AND THE PEOPLE DRESSED IN THEIR EXPENSIVE CARNIVAL OUTFITS.
I CAN'T AFFORD $10 000, FOR CARNIVAL GEAR.
BUT THIS MONEY INCLUDES THE OUTFIT PLUS THE FOOD AND DRINKS AND ALSO THE TRUCK TO CLAMBER UNTO WHEN YOU FEEL TIRED FROM DANCING AND DRINKING.
BY THE END OF THE DAY I AM SURE ALL THE DIFFERENT FOOD AND DRINKS YOU CONSUME IS WORKED OF IN ALL THAT WHINING UP😂😁😁😄😅😆🎺🎻🎷♩.
ON A FRIDAY YOU CAN GO TO FISH FRIDAY IN.
THE BEST AND SAFEST BEACH IN THE WORLD IS IN GRENADA.
IT'S AMAZING BUT NOT MANY GRENADIAN FAMILIES TAKE THEIR CHILDREN THEIR.
BBC BEACH YOU CAN FEEL SAFE IN THE KNOWLEDGE THAT YOUR CHILDREN WILL NOT BE WASHED AWAY BY THE WAVES.

Love the video as always... One bit of advice... When hiking, its best to have a walking stick, so you can use to balance yourself when crossing rivers and even when the trail is slippery...
Lime & Hot Ginger with a little honey is real decent.. very healthy.. Ginger has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, lower cholesterol levels, lower blood sugars and improves heart function..

Yes I need to get some hiking boots. It was a lot of fun. I went hashing twice and it was fun. A bit easier than this though. You should give this hike a try whenever you return.
Golden Falls? Never heard of it. I highly recommend the lime and ginger. In fact, it doesn't even have to be lime - any acidic citrus and ginger makes great juice.
Really? Well I’ll have to get on that right away. Citrus season is fast approaching. I heard of Golden Falls about 2 years ago and wanted to go ever since so I was happy when I got the opportunity.
Looks like lots of fun. How many rivers did you cross? Omg I told my brother, their need to be an easier way to get to this beautiful fall. There was a lot of bush and ropes to get to it. The river water looks really nice. I think I would just stayed and enjoy the river instead of going through hall and back to get there lol. I loved it, despite the difficulties getting there.
Haha yes it was SUCH a journey getting there. It’s pretty much one huge river based on how I see it but if they’re separate I can’t tell you how many, except that there were too many 😂 it was worth it though. So beautiful 😍

Born and raised in Grenada we the OG do lots of hiking I'm speaking from experience you say you are hiking in morne Horne if you can climb Mt.st Catherine's you done it all we The OG climb double that mt .st Catherine's when you climb mountains St.catherine you can see carriacou the English has a pole on the mountain that is for communication all the world

Yes it was a fun hike. Haha not a pro at all but I did my best. It was a hike for my friend, Tonia’s, birthday so Shurland sat this one out.

This hike seems really interesting. How long did it actually take you guys to reach up?
We did it quickly. It was supposed to take 1 hour and a half but we did it in maybe just a little over an hour.

How long did the trek take? Too many rocks for me. I enjoyed watching the journey. Another adventure added. I leave this slippy and hazardous adventure to you younger one.
Haha yes it was a tough one. It took us a little over an hour to get there. We did it pretty quickly. I’ve seen older people doing it as well so don’t discount yourself.
I know it is nature but like the Chinese does it steps in some areas would make it easier

I would like to know after the hike if it is suitable for. The over 80 years who feels active to survive the journey.
I have seen people of a range of ages doing it. I don’t know if anyone as old as 80 has done it though. It’s a long trek in and out and getting down to the waterfall isn’t easy. I believe there’s a lower waterfall as well that we didn’t go to so if that higher one isn’t accessible then maybe you can try that one. But seek guidance from a doctor before doing so and ensure that you (or the person you’re inquiring for) have people around to assist if necessary.
