I have a question, i am new at doing lyft i downloaded the stride app to keep track of my expenses, if i even drive to my regular job with my daily car which is the one i use for lyft, can i still use that app where ever i go??

I have mainly done uber, I tested out lyft when I was sent into another city by uber where uber doesn't let me drive (thanks lyft for being more flexible!) but anyway, it seems that the ping system works differently. I accepted a ride, and got another ping after pickup. I purposefully let the ping run down because I couldn't look at the app at the moment due to driving in a hairy spot, and the app auto accepted the next passenger for me. I also experienced the app reassign me another passenger that was closer when I was half way to my pickup without asking me. Anyone have any info on exactly how this system works? Do I have to reject pings manually if i don't want to accept?

how do you turn off auto add to queue
My app in 2021 looks different than yours, and the button at the top to turn off after every ride is not there.
I am using a Google pixel and my Lyft app is not working correctly. When I received a ride request, I accept and than I will hit navigator to get directions. Instead of continuing ride! I get kicked out of app. I have done everything that I have been told. I need help.

If I select a scheduled pickup and am driving will Lyft make sure I am available and in the area or do I have make sure of that myself? In other words do I need to skip rides to remain nearby and available?
No...LYFT will direct you
You will lose that scheduled ride if you aren't free at the time it comes over and I believe the software counts it against you on acceptance ratings

I'm new to Lyft, I also do not plan on using it often. Is there any way to see the passenger destination before accepting the ride? Or it only shows after picking up passenger?
I work at airport and would like to do one ride close to wear I leave each time I leave work.
Good luck with that. If I don't use last ride after I pick the passenger up they likely will fill your queue with rides going in the other direction

It will tell you to confirm the first stop if I’m not mistaken. You either click or slide. And after you do that, you will continue onto the last stop.
How do you turn the volume down on the driver app for lyft. It's loud and annoying. Looks like the rideshare guy doesn't answer his own viewers questions. Anybody know?
Anyone else having issues on Android 11 when picking up a pax? The arrive button will only pop up now on 1 out of 11 rides. I have to go the ride waybill to force pick them up, even of they're in my car. Lyft customer service is a waste of time.

I just started driving for Lyft last weekend. I know how to go online but once I am online I do not know how to go off line. I have to turn off my phone to get the app to stop sending me rides.

How do you see how much a ride pays before you accept it?
To my knowledge, you can't. As you progress through the different tiers (Silver,Gold etc) you can start to see estimated trip time and direction. With that information, you can guess an approx. earnings.
This is a very informative video however this is not at all what my app looks like when I open it? I'm having a very hard time figuring out how to find my earnings so far...
We will be making an updated tutorial soon as the apps tend to improve and change things often. Earnings for the day will be at the top of the home screen and then to go back to previous days or weeks, is under account and click dashboard and click the drop down menu and click on driving history

How is it that Lyft can get away only paying $.60 a mile to the drivers when the IRS says it cost $.56 a mile just to break even if you operate a vehicle for business?

@@sgtgaryacompany3279 duh! I don’t think you’re getting it yes you get the deduction because that’s what it cost to operate the vehicle anything after as we should be paying tax on.
The math isn’t very hard to figure out a drivers just don’t get with the really earning after expenses

Am suprised how drivers are cheap. you pick up three trips tin one hour and they will give you 15 doller that 15 doller 5 bucks that they cut it for the three tripa yet they think it will benefit them
