Excellent ! I’ll be 86 next month, this was a lot of information to take in but I’m going to give it a try. You have a relaxed speaking voice and everything u mentioned was clearly explained, thank you for making this video. I installed the app a couple of weeks ago and have reached out several times to ask how in the world do I even start, finally today I had a notification from a sweet member who led me to you!
Oh, I'm so glad you were steered this way, Lou, and that you found this helpful! I have a few other Healthi tutorials for using the Recipe Builder and Editing Foods if you need them. You can always feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Thanks for the tutorial. Great job on explaining, do appreciate this. May go to this in June when my WW 6 month offer ends, if I can’t get any discount to continue. Hope you’re feeling better ❤️❤️. Take care ❤️
Update: I've been on Healthi for almost 8 weeks now after watching this video. I have lost 8.5lbs 🎉 I use Sugar Smart. BUT, in your video you mention not having a "gain weight" option. It is in Calorie Command. I don't think Bite plans are designed that way, but Calorie Command can have goals to gain a certain amount of pounds in a week.
Thank you Roy! This was great. I noticed some changes since you’ve filmed this but it’s not off by much. Very detailed and not at all long. One thing, Apple Phone is not compatible with the Healthi app at least not that I can find, activity is added through the Health App on the Iphone
I'm glad this was helpful, Rho! I do know there are some differences between Healthi on Android and Apple, but nothing (from what I've heard) too extreme. Unless something has changed, that is. 😁
Thanks very much Roy...I saw your live talk the other day and decided to look into the healthi app that you mentioned. I am definitely going to make the switch from WW. I'm excited to be able to see how many calories I get in a day. It looks like it has so much more to offer than the WW app,
I'm glad you got some helpful information from the live and this tutorial, Dione. You definitely get more options with Healthi. If you ever need any help with it, feel free to ask.
This was a great video, I’m new to Healthi, I’m on the Sugar Smart Plan. Is that why the bites are so high on many of their recipes. Loved the recipes in the WW app but can’t see me using many of the Healthi recipes when the bites are so high.
Yes. Sugar Smart gives the most bites out of all the plans, so the bites for food will also be somewhat higher. I'm glad you found this video was helpful!
I totally get that, April. I did the same a few years back when there was controversy about WW's ties to racist ambassadors and endorsements that they failed to address. I'm glad this tutorial helped you!
Thank you for this great tutorial. I now feel more confident in working with the app. I do have one question. I have a granola cereal that I stir into yogurt, however, the app always shows points for the full 2/3 cup serving. I always use 1/3 cup. Is there a way I can make the app always come up with my serving size?
I'm so glad you found this useful! There is a way to do that, but it won't automatically come up when you scan it. It will be listed under My Food and you'll have to find it there. I generally change it only if I'm changing how it is measured (like weight instead of cups). Honestly, it might just be easier to scan as you have been and scroll to edit the amount you are using rather than having to find it under My Foods. If, however, you use it that frequently, you can always copy just it from one day to the other by holding down on it and selecting either Copy to Yesterday or Copy to Next Day. I do have a video on Editing Foods in the Healthi App that will give you more overall detail. You can find it at ua-cam.com/video/GSpvU9MtG38/v-deo.html. If that doesn't help or doesn't make it clear enough, please feel free to let me know where you're having an issue and I'll try to clarify it for you.
This may have been long but WOW, so thorough! Thank you and congrats on your phenomenal weight loss! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I used WW for years and quit last year. Used Healthi Pro and realized that has now expired so buying again. This video showed features I didn’t even know about. THANKS SO MUCH!!! 😉
With Pro, Karen, you get 2 extra plans (Keto and Better Balance, which is like WW Blue), access to the Recipe Builder, the ability to have a second metric (calories or macros), Healthi Meal Plans to help you meal prep, and access to groups.
What is the toggle to make zero? I’m doing better balance but points seen yo be way off in many things as compared to current ww plan. Thx so much for the vid!
You're welcome, Wendy. When you enter a food, right under the choice of meal, there are 2 toggles. One says Zero BITE Food? and the other says Filling Food? TheFilling Food? toggle is for one of the other plans, but you want to turn on Zero BITE Food? for anything that is 0-bite, even if it shows up as 0 because sometimes a number of 0-bite foods (esp. in a recipe) can add up to bites when they accumulate.
Great tutorial, Roy! I entered a recipe this morning and there were just a handful of ingredients; all but one were zero bites, that one was 3 bites. The recipe tracks at 4 bites. Is this a result of my not using the decimal feature (WW math), or is it a glitch? Math has never been my strong suit, but 3+0 in my book should still equal three, lol. Have you ever had this happen? I did work around it by tracking a smaller portion to get to 3. Thanks again- tired of paying WW monthly, when I can use Healthi as a much more cost effective tool, so I am hoping that I can get used to this app. Seems a little more cumbersome, but for the price difference, I am willing to do what it takes!
I have had this happen. So often, in fact, that I mention it in my Recipe Builder tutorial. LOL What it is doing is taking any fractions from 0-bites food (apparently they have them to some extent) and adding it to the 3 bites. All you need to do is whenever you enter a food you know is 0-bite--even if it comes up as 0 in the app!!!--you need to tap the little button to the side to mark it as 0 bites. If you do that, it will correct the issue.
Also should mention that I do not have a heart for favorites on my iPhone or iPad - it appears to be a star, although I can’t find anything in the help section of the app that denotes a difference between the apps. When you slide on the entry to remove it, there is a heart to “uncheck”, but I do not find a heart on the food listing screen. 🙂
@@laurier3952 It sounds like the Apple star is the Android heart, though I tried to find an article online showing the differences, but found nothing. Sorry.
You can manually alter your daily bites. To fit with Purple, you would take the bites you have now and subtract 30%. For example, if you have 30 dailies, 30% of that would be 9. Subtracting that, you'd have 21. You would manually change this by going to your icon on the top, selecting Settings (the gear icon), and going down to Daily Allowance. Click the Manual Allowance tab on and alter the Daily Allowance number to match. However, you would have more 0-bite foods, you would just have to know what was 0 on Purple and simply slide the Zero Bite Food tab on. If you'd like to save them under My Foods so you don't have to zero them each time, open the food, select the three dots (...) at the top, and select Edit. Turn on the Zero Bite Food tab (it turns blue), then hit Save. You'll now find it under My Foods and it will remain 0 bites if chosen from there. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.
I have found slices on the app, however, I think it's best to use a fraction of a whole pizza because it gives you the size. The one issue would be if the pizza is cut into more than 8 pieces because the fractions start at 1/8. In that case, I would calculate the bites by dividing the whole pizza bites by the number of slices and doing it as a "quick add." I do have a mini tutorial on how to do a "quick add."
When you scan an item, the Healthi app shows the bites at the top, but scrolling down, you see the nutrition facts. You just need to make sure they match the item you scan and the bites will correct once you fix them.
