      Have you heard of anyone having problems with Ride share Mechanic? I just had an inspection done and I am not receiving any emails from them just sms messages and there is a link to access my documents in the sms message but it brings me to a login screen that I can not log in to because I never got their email with what I need to create a log in and they won't answer when I call either.

    Also, if you pick up someone who looks like they’re having a bad day, don’t try to cheer them up or talk them out of their funk with small talk. They got places to be, and may not be particularly thrilled about what they have to deal with for the rest of the day. Just greet them cordially, play some music on low volume and wish them a good day when you’ve gotten to the destination. Lesson learned for me.

      Yeah when i take an uber i hate when the driver ask me a lot of questions and i never want to talk, i just wanna be on my phone, but there's some other plp that like to talk and the driver is very serious and quiet

      If you aint got something nice to say then don't say anything at all, but... Before you jump into the mix and think driving for uber or lyft is easy and money is for the taking, there are places and types of people you will eventually run into or have to deal with. There are the alcohol, drug and people abusers. 1 year of driving there was a big brawl outside a bar or nightclub, jerry springer style in Huntington beach. Had a guy passenger being taken to a alcohol abuse clinic and yelling in my ear the whole way there, practically terrorizing my ear off. Another time picked up some thugs who were drunk or something with one of them saying hey, you want to fight me, you want to fight me? Another time waiting in my car on side of road, a guy walks up feigning saying what ya got? I aint got nothing I'm a uber driver; punches my passenger side window as I take off. Guess he thought my pearl white car was a line of coke, lol, but not really. And the one time delivered food to a gay guy, thought nothing of it until he grabbed my crotch. These are the ones that make you think you didn't make a wise decision deciding to do this line of work. And there are many in between types that aren't as bad, but you'll say ok its just a bad day for driving. And many others that are easy and unimportant. Then you have the experiences with the customer service and maybe some rush hours, get me there fast please or some grocery and airport pickups. And by this time you are getting burned out from driving too many days or too long of hours. So there are negatives and positives to this gig or service economy. If you don't mind traffic or rushing around then how about the mornings. If you want danger, risk and excitement drive late big city nights. You like less risk, less danger and less money drive midday from 10am-4pm then divorce yourself from the job and do something else. This job shouldn't be a full time gig, but for some it is. But hey good luck drivers and have fun while your still young.

    One tip that was given to me was after you have your passenger in the car and you know what their Destination is, ask them if there’s a certain way that they’d like to go. Adds a bit of security for them. Cleaning tip. Invest in a little steam cleaner if you have cloth seats. It’s sanitizers and cleans them and destroys any odor. The other thing I did was I invested in a set of Weather Tech mats. They are great because if somebody were to spill something, or get muddy foot prints on them all you have to do is take them out of the car, scrub them down, dry them off and put them right back in. No expensive carpet cleaning bill.

    I'm a new driver but I already had some experience transporting people in a vehicle from the work site to their personal vehicle at my last job. I would always ask everyone if they got all their belongings before leaving and I'll ask again after arriving. This became a habit of mine and I use it for Uber too. It has come in handy a couple of times already where the rider forgot something before we took off.

    All drivers should put together and make a own app with the main condition: You home city is always your destination after a trip away. That's key to real ridsharing and not go far and more far!!!
    2. $10 Minimum for customers (6/4 split Driver/Company)
    3. after $10 is $2,50 a mile (1,75-2/0,50-0,75)
    4. If the closest car is more then 2 miles away it cost the customer another $1 a mile to get to him.
    5. Driver always choose the ride.

  • @ivanakratochvil4429
    @ivanakratochvil4429 4 роки тому +55

    So true. I also verify the destination with the client. One time I had a correct client in the car, but when I showed him the destination, he recognized he mistakenly selected a different past location (way further), so thanks to my verification I asked the client to edit his destination.

  • @pageturners3671

    Excellent video. Adding my big suggestion.....If you don't want to be distracted by additional ride requests, turn on the "stop new requests" as soon as you start the current ride. I do this because I don't want to take the precious seconds while I am driving to decide whether I want to take the new trip offered. Sometimes it goes off multiple times and I am like, let me just f---ing finish this ride! So now you can by just pressing the "stop new requests" as soon as you drop them off and have your breather (checking back seat, noting ride in log (I do that for EVERY ride) you can turn it back on (or rather you can go back online, since when you do this option, the app signs you off as soon as you swipe drop off complete. Hope this makes sense.

    • @quackinator1609
      @quackinator1609 Рік тому +2

      I'm a new driver and I keep it on. It does get annoying when getting multiple requests. What bothers me more is that if you deny too many requests, the app gives you less info on the request. For example, it'll stop showing me how much money I'll make from the trip and where I'll be dropping the rider off. It just tells me where to pick them up.

    • @edwilliams4793
      @edwilliams4793 10 місяців тому +1

      In my market, Uber usually sends me ride requests that cover up the map just as I need to see where I need to turn. I think they do this on purpose trying to get me to tap on it & accept usually crappy trips. Just like Waze does with their ads…

Business slowed down and I moved onto something else. None of you idiots have this kind of luxury in pathetic Rideshare. Stupid suckas!

    How you pay your direct taxes (Income Taxes) and claim all expenses/exemptions with the government.
    Do you create a numbered/any name company?
    Did the Uber gives you a GST papers to file/deposit stated amount on that paper.
    I am in Canada, in my way I was Taking to an Uber driver and he said Uber gives them a GST document to file at the end of the financial year and that’s you have to file.
    And I questioned him, what about claiming the exemptions (all expenses, lease payment, repair and maintenance of vehicle, gas receipts etc etc) and also declaring your Gross Income to the government. How much an average for your direct taxes for the year?
    My conclusion is Is GST is the only government taxes you have to file at the end of the year or
    Is there is Uber dollars earned needs to be Taxes and filed at the end of the year (as your Direct Taxes/ Return to file) because if you files your taxes, of course than Uber driver will be claiming his expenses as well. Thanks.

      It’s so that if someone assaults you or tries to scam you, you have proof if it ends up being a lawsuit. This applies to both a front facing dash cam and a camera that records the inside of your car (passengers)

    Good info sir. I got quick question sir. My saturn aura xe 07 like most cars sucks in winter driving, i could do part time uber buuut il need to fix some minor things in my car. A suv they are great in snow drive and that was always gonna be my next vehicle. Should i get an suv through lift uba and pay weekly and drive suv knowing snow wont be a problem or fix up my car and have hard time in winter snows???

    • @ijmk01
      @ijmk01 2 роки тому

      Driving in the snow can be a rough one. Here in Buffalo (where it snows quite often) it pays to have winter tires on your vehicle. I happened to get WinterForce tires from Firestone this past winter and it has helped me tremendously. Best of luck to you!
