Thank you for actually caring about the quality of your football content and the quality of guests you have on as football analysts. Especially compared to Bill Simmons and The Ringer’s huge drop off from NBA content to everything else but specifically lack of quality CFB/NFL content.
You are aware that Ryen works for the Ringer, right?
Bills a narrative guy. You want x’s and o’s go somewhere else.

Excellent segment with great questions from Ryen Russillo! Thanks! On the Dak and Goff commentary, what Dak has failed to do in the post season Goff has put the team on his arm and delivered multiple times. The 2018 season NFC championship game in New Orleans with the loudest and craziest crowd ever should have made Goff's career as a money ball talent but two things occurred, the pass interference moment that wasn't called but was so heavily replayed and promoted, and then the Super Bowl loss to the Patriots in the lowest scoring SB on record. Off schedule plays and money throws when down 13-0 and without Cooper Kupp and with a very subpar Todd Gurley in that game was top tier but totally forgotten from that NFC Championship game. Then beating the Seahawks in the 2020 Wild Card game while coming off the bench after being demoted by McVay the last week of the season. This game came after the thumb injury and surgery from the Seattle game just weeks prior where Fox analysts were calling on the Rams to get Stafford and telling everyone that the Rams had no chance with Goff to win. 30-20 Rams and it wasn't that close. The Rams lost both Kupp and Aaron Donald in that game which sank their playoff hopes but it was Goff who took the axe from the Rams organization over the loss in Green Bay. Winning two playoff games in Detroit where it had not happened in 30 years, while beating your former coach and the guy Detroit loved for 12 years before you got there and everyone thought you were just filler was a huge pressure filled game where Goff shone at his best, as he did throughout the 2023 playoffs. Still not sure why he is not higher.
I was waiting for this to get clipped from the rest of the pod now I'll listen lol
Ngl as a 99% audio listener Mike Sando looks NOTHING like how I imagined. This is more shocking than seeing Joe House for the first time 😂
LOL man I was just about to comment that. I assumed Sando was some grizzled 60 year old reporter
@@MohamedMubarak-Modelix grizzled and disshelved with glasses that are slightly crooked is what I imagined. I wasn't familiar with Mike's game at all lmaooo
just a reminder that in japanese sando means sandwich
Really
Sando sounds like Norm Macdonald 😂
Everyone chasing the velociraptor Mahomes.
The Dolphins are overrated
They had a record setting pace last year offensively. The winter seems to be there kryptonite. I’d expect another huge offensive output this year
@@Sirdutcharlesthe63rd What was their record against winning teams?
@@KK-pm7ud are you asking so you can setup for a punchline, or are you genuinely curious?
@@Sirdutcharlesthe63rd It was rhetorical
@@KK-pm7ud I’d probably double check the definition of rhetorical there buddy
Josh Allen as a tier 3 QB makes WAY MORE sense than 7 tier 1 QBs. SEVEN?!? Wild.
Real ones know this is a re-up.
Unfortunately for me I'm a Cowboys fan and so I've had to deal with the ups and downs of Dak Prescott. During the regular season he's borderline top tier and at least at the top of the second tier but when the playoffs start he becomes a pretty bad quarterback. His skill set is really good but he just doesn't seem able to handle the brightest lights. He's not bringing down the organization he just exemplifies the organization. It's a fading empire that continues to roll on despite all the rust and holes. The change has got to come at the very top for that organization to ever really accomplish something. Dak also needs to step up in the playoffs. I think this is going to be a down year for the Cowboys but everybody seems to think that. I think they're battling for the wild card and may not get it. Very tough schedule as well.
As an eagles fan, the amount of times I’ve seen Dak torch the eagles is disheartening, and they seem so immensely talented, just to fall short.
I want to see Mahomes without refs helping
As a Detroit fan who watches way too much football, I can tell you stafford is mahommes. Literally almost the same player, stafford just spent his career cast away to the worst franchise in sports while mahommes was sent to a super-team coached by the GOAT.
Theres only one Elite QB in today’s league. It’s Mahomes. This isn’t 12 years ago where Brady, Manning and Rodger’s were all in the running and were equals. Nobody is on the Mahomes level. Only Brady was and he’s retired
Having Hurts @ ?? I feel like It’s completely disrespectful to how he’s performed so far. Including the tier 1 receivers that Hurts has chemistry with. He has excellent vision. Barkley, Goedert. He reads the clock fantastically. His pace allows the defense to stay tuned up and ready. Hurts is a tier 1 Qb. In front of stroud? Idk, in front of Rodger’s? Maybe
He’s had 1.5 seasons of good football, everything else has been subpar. He hasn’t shown that he can handle pressure well without Steichen
Steichen merchant
Josh Allen is so overrated. Very good QB. Not quite elite. Media darling.
Burrow was NOT a tear 1 QB , last year ! Again he missed a few games & the team was NOT in the play Offs ! 2nk , HOW , can any one NOT look at ALL those Allen turn overs PICKS / fumbles for his CAREER ? And keep on putting him way up at the NO # 2 OR NO # 3 spot ? Lets see how he does with some of his weapons , now gone ? Let him deal with , what OTHER QB"S have been doing for the past 4 years & he still has a nice defense behind him ? Le Mare 2 time MVP , still can NOT win Play Off games at home , even with a great team around him ! Hurts took a step back & he's just another Jackson , a RB playing the QB spot . Tua LOST in his ONLY Play off game , just like Herbert did ? But , Hebert did NOT turn the ball over 1 time ? But , EVERY ONE says he couldn't win ? OK , So , lets ADD , Allen , Le Mare , Tua , Hurts & Burrow , when he is ON the field . To this list , for NONE of them have a ring on the finger , either !
These tiers aren’t based off only last year
Turnovers are a very overrated stat
The touchdowns he gets more than makes up for it
@@misinfluence It [IS ] when YOUR defense CAN back you up ! If they can't then it IS a problem ! OPS and we are NOT talking about a couple of them for these 2 guys ? A BUNCH of them ? Even if you lose a fumble & your team gets it back . Most times it IS a drive killer, still .
@@2160michael Then if that is true , then HOW does a QB"S fall ? IF your going off the career or 2 OR 3 year total ? Again , I must say NONE of the QB"S have won NO rings , but P . Mahomes , M. Stafford & Joe Flacco . That is it .
@@misinfluence But , yet his [ Allen } turn overs HAS cost them games , also ? For a stat that doesn't count ? When you are over 20 for any season , that is BAD . PERIOD . Now to [ ME ] a win OR lost is a TEAM stat , some what & shouldn't all ways fall on the QB ! Point in case , just LOOK at how MANY [ BAD ] games , Le Mare had last year , BUT, he still gets the win BY the Ravens team doing why more , then he did ! NOT by his play in those 7 to 9 games , I can say .
