Man utd pundits are all the same when it comes to Trent. He's won everything he can win, but according to them he's a liability. If Trent moves to Madrid, they'll change their tune overnight and he'll be the best right back in the world. They've already started talking Trent up because they hope he's off next summer. Jealousy is a terrible, terrible thing.
The two can co-exist though. There are a lot of England games where he wouldn't need to defend and can just be creative. Against Slovenia, for example, is not the same as facing Vinicius and Mbappe. Think the previous England manager wasn't canny enough with using his players and squad to good effect.
@@thomasbrennan9912Ferguson wanted to sign him. His dream was to always play for Milan, he was meant to go after Leeds but didn’t eventuate. Scholesy makes a great point about Slot and Trent. Slot definitely prefers a less chaotic, risky style and sometimes trent's passing can be hit and miss. Under Klopp, he probably had the licence to hit those passes as klopp was direct.

Trent isn’t a bad defender, he’s an average one that’s amazing at passing. The narrative that he’s completely
Useless at it is bollocks
G.Nev "it should be illegal not to have Trent playing for England"
Also G.Nev over the last 4-5 years highlighting every single mistake he makes and insinuating he can't defend and will cost in the big games.
Me *Surprised pikachu face*
Get Mark Viduka on as the next guest.
No
Not a bad shout
This is a great shout. He completely disappeared from the media. Would love to see what he's been doing
@@thomasbrennan9912Ferguson wanted to sign him. His dream was to always play for Milan, he was meant to go after Leeds but didn’t eventuate. He will also have insights on Ange as a coach, all the great players of the same gen with Keane, Neville and Carra, he’s close with Luka Modric, would be good.
Hell of a player. Good luck with getting him in though
Scholesy makes a great point about Slot and Trent. Slot definitely prefers a less chaotic, risky style and sometimes trent's passing can be hit and miss.
Under Klopp, he probably had the licence to hit those passes as klopp was direct.
Keane and Scholes on the same show...
Am not crying.
You are...
Love this channel and don’t mind the odd sponsor plug but this video just seemed to have quite a number of them, hope it doesn’t continue
Roy and Ian having a chat on the side about pastries is gold
I think gary should get more credit for how good and consistent he was over the years 👍🏼⚽️
I am an Ipswich supporter, and without Trent Liverpool would probably not have beaten us in the first game.
His passing is top drawer, and so is his positioning.
Scholes checking his watch seven minutes in 😂
Keano looking after Scholesy. Love it.
Cantona was my hero growing up. But idolised Keane in midfield.
Gary ‘this show is in association with’ Neville
Tom got the 2-1 newcastle 😂😂😂 legend
As a gooner its wierd but so good seeing Kean and Wrighty get on so well with all the banter 😂😂
Scholes is the only other person I've heard say "I don't really like speaking". He has the same surname as me and we are both from manchester. He's from Salford and my family are from Oldham. Somewhere our families must be related.
im sure he has connections to oldham did he not support them as a kid?
@@bobnab1570 I'm not sure. I think his gym is in Oldham though.
Bromance Keano and Wrighty is official
Scholes and Keane - legendary 90s duo.
Finally a podcast involving a former United player
Fun fact: Tom *did* correctly predict the result in the Wolves vs Newcastle game!
Roy and Wrighty on pastry is top tier content
We need a spin off with Roy and Wrighty going fishing together
Reminder that Walker had one of the worst right-back performances of all time, while representing his country, in a Euro final, and Scholes unironically wants to talk about defensive frailties when discussing TAA. How is this a thing in September of 2024
He’s still miles better than Trent as defending, look at premier league defending stats. Trent is the 3rd most dribbled past player in the prem behind 2 Brentford players. You literally can’t make this up😂 is Trent starts in a final against dangerous wingers he would get turned inside out
@@CombatMediaayou need to watch the prem a bit more and ask city fans... walker is shambolic when it comes to his positioning... the amount of goals he's cost them over the years is insane
not just that, iceland 2016 lost his man in the setpiece, wc 2018 let perisic get in front of him to score...
@@benfuller2890 I suppose Pep Guardiola who's notoriously ruthless with his squad with the millions at his disposal just hangs onto him for sentimental reasons then? Or just for the bants?
I mean Scholes doesn't know his football lol, could play but IQ wise, lol
Tom's 1-2 prediction was the only one that was right!!!! 🤣😂🤣
Wrighty: car spun 180 on the motorway
Roy: it's got airbags, Jesus, calm down
😅
Roy and Ian is it 🤣🤣🤣🤣.. that convo on the food 🤣🤣☠️☠️☠️
