Prices will go down when people learn to say no. Value comes from what we accept to pay nothing more nothing less
Hey Swiss,
What kinds of things would you value in this product that would make the value proposition better for you?
@@ELOLimited Vibration feedback would be a nice thing to have
absolutely true. Most truest words I've heard said about value/money.
I spent $200 on an Xbox elite controller back in the day and never looked back. This looks like that for mobile. I’d rather spend extra, get something quality have it last way longer, and enjoy using it every day. Love the back buttons, as soon as I saw that, I knew it was gonna be a must have. (FPS shooter)
For me, currently Gamesir Galileo G8 is sill the best in terms of comfortability and price, but more challengers are welcomed to make it more innovative and competitive in this gamepad side.
G8+ is best on market for price point.
@@rancid_The G8+ is literally the same as the G8 Galileo except it's Bluetooth as opposed to USB C.
@@GabilletaG8+ is slightly heavier as well due to having a battery in each grip.
You can actually get 90⁰ type C cables to connect the device directly to your phone if you ever wanna just use wired mode.
Gamesir x2s is best for the price, Gamesir g8 is the all around best. Gamesir is really the apex now
I have one and it's amazing. It's by far the best quality mobile controller I've used so far. I owned the glap and a razer kishi v2. The G8 is so much better than both of those.
That price, are they serious?
the backbone is 100, this is a much better design
Good thing you didn't start with price. Most people would've got out of the video that second. No controller is worth that!
Nah bro if he started with the price I wouldn't waste my time staying here
Gamesir G8+ and Razer Kishi Ultra have VIBRATION. This does NOT. For Moonlighters and Cloud gamers this is important!
Hey ETA,
Thankyou so much for reviewing the controller. I wanted to point out a few things here
1) We are pushing an update in 2 weeks that will make the controller functional on Android games that don't natively support controller (Like CODM and Genshin impact). We will continue to add software updates and improve the application on both iOS and Android.
2) Just some insight into manufacturing that people probably aren't aware of. What they will do is come up with design (outside look and feel) of a product to make it feel nice and then completely gut the inside of a product in order to cut costs. This is not consumer friendly and this is something we avoid. We've built something that can last for years and hopefully people value that.
3) We see a lot of people complaining about the price. I want to stress that in order to meet strict regulatory requirements to be MFI compatible (Apple Certification) and include hall sensor joysticks it does force us to have the inside of our controller a step above the rest. We've built the controller for people who are more serious about mobile gaming. It's something that will last and will (hopefully) make the experience of playing your mobile games a better one. There is a tradeoff for this since it costs a lot more to produce (especially as telescopic controller in general cost more to produce). We understand it's not for everyone because of the price but that's what it costs to make a good controller. If it's not worth it then we do have a generous 30 day return policy and 1 year warranty.
4) We are a Canadian company and value customer service and customer aftercare. Again there is a tradeoff for this as it requires overhead for these workers. We hope that this is something that puts us a step above the rest.
5) We are making adjustments to the PCBA to improve the power delivery on this model for the next batch of production (15 Watts of charge)
Ultimately. We want to play in the "premium" product field. If our product does not live up to the value proposition then we will look to improve it. Please feel free to leave comments on what features you would like to see.
Much appreciated. Will be reading all the comments to see where we can improve for the next version.
@@ELOLimited I actually already have my pre-order in and a tracking code, but I wanted to ask: Are there any plans for haptics?
Will it fit a 11inch ipad air?
but for $150...
Vagabond is what buyers will become
Just wait for china company, they gonna make almost same 1 for 1/2 or 1/3 of the price :)
@@hiepbenh88 Yeah and it'll die in 3 months
@@ELOLimited i'm sorry bro but that true :) i have 4 chinese controllers, they all good and cheap !
I think it looks really nice. Yeah it's expensive, but what you do expect out of a pro product?
$150? Sometimes you can just say “no” to companies asking to review their products ETA 😏
Razer Kishi Ultra is the same price. Its what they go for
Why? Different folks different strokes
If it’s good enough id pay $150…you like what you like.
Bro just change your name to brokeyoungin
@@jvillaro I know but sometimes these companies test how much of a fool we are when it comes to spending
I have a RIG Nacon Bluetooth controller like this. I actually like the versatility of BT, can use it with more devices, and separate from device like a Switch Joy-con
I wish I could a controller of this style that would fit a a Galaxy Tab S9+ or larger. They're powerful enough for some solid games, but I can't do a separate controller setup for most of the environments I would play in.
Will be doing this for the V2 to make sure it's truly universally compatible.
Please download the Windows 11 24h2 build and see if performance increase for the ROG Ally, X, Legion Go, and other Zen 4 based PC handhelds! I like to see benchmarks since it benefits Zen 3 to 5 for performance increases
Just paid $75 for the Gamesir G8 plus and the dpad wasnt registering every single click on top of the G-Touch mode not working. No customer support. Thanks to amazon for a quick replacement in hopes the replacement works. If the replacement doesnt work then i will simply cancel. Pathetic that you pay more than an actual premium controller and get trash in return with no customer support or updates. For $150, I wont be wasting my time. When the mass of people who can afford it despite it possibly being garbage and begin to rave about how amazing it is, say its plug and play, and every other bells and whistles it may come with I might just consider it.
Kinda wish someone would just integrate a game pad directly into a phone again like the Xperia Play. I think that would actually work nowadays if they don't skimp on the specs like the Play did.
Found out recently Sony owns the patent which is why nobody does it.
Will it work on Z-Flip 6 with a case? It's not listed on the website.
@@michaelcowan6079 It will.
That controller will show up as an xbox controller on android CodM, no screen mapper required.
If it shows up as an xbox controller on iphone CodM it'll work for android too
Literally just got off a call with our engineers. We're pushing an update this week for PS Remote play to be compatible with that. We're getting all the compatibility bugs sorted out for all games over the next 4-5 weeks.
Could you please review the EasySMX m15 mobile controller.
i wish theyd make a travel case for the vagabond, i have one for my backbone and was thinking of getting this
I saw my local walmart had backbine controller on clearnce for like 50 or $60 i thought about getting 1 but now that i see this maybe this would be a lot better for me
For 150$ not even worth the time of looking in to it
@@davidsongv hall effect sticks so everest stick drift bigger bulkier feel like I prefer on controllers hence why I prefer xbox controllers over Playstation
Ppl complain bout the price which is fine but if ima use it for years and years and get a fre subscription then ima go for thos over the backbone
Appreciate it, the main thing is that if you play a lot on your phone then it's better to enjoy it. The people who should be buying something at this price should be getting lots of use out of it in our opinion.
That S24 grew three sizes
Had mine for a few days now and it feels okay. Both thhe LED rings gave out and won't light up anymore. I also have to hold it at an angle when playing for it to be comfortable. I don't think it's worth the $150.
The Leds can be turned on or off by pressing Start+Select, maybe you have turned them off by accident?
The comments here are more fun than the video 😂
As good or better than backbone?
How does this compare to the g8+? that seems to be a better price options and has more compatibility with other devices
What other devices are you curious about?
@ELOLimited I personally rlly like how the g8 plus also acts as a bluetooth controller so it can connect with literally anything, android, ios, windows and even Nintendo switch. That's what I meant by being more compatible with other devices also since there's no USB c port u can also orientate folding phones in any position you'd like
The issue I have with a lot of these devices is that if your phone or tablet does not have a centered USB-C port then you can use them. Example I would love to repurpose my old ROG 3 phone but its USB-C port is offset....if you could slide up or down the connecter that would be game changing
I use a Zfold 5 and it works properly as well. The Vagabond doesn't have the curves at the bottom so it will fit even if it's offset.
@@ELOLimited yes but the USB port is center on that frame etc..
Not to the left or right
just picked up the G8 Plus, my only gripe is that with the phone attached, its really heavy.
Yep cause of that battery. I mainly got it for my foldables and tablets (pre-modded). I recently got the EasySMX M15 as well which is nice for the price.
The 10w should be enough since the phone will definitely get hot when it is charging, especially when it is fast charging.
Yeah we wanted to avoid fast charging but the power delivery is a bit low. Making changes to the next PCBA to be 15 W.
I would rather have the USB c be on the left side, this way my Duo 2 can have a screen between and above (not below) the controller.
Other than the price it seems nice though.
wake me up when this hits $75
Will this fit iPad Pro M4 13" inch?
I told you about this so long ago then the gamesir Galileo g8 came out then that is the best option
Quite a shame no one is making these products for 11 inch tablets.
G8 & G8+ my friend
@@volcalstone up to 215mm so just like the ELO, only iPad mini as far as iPads are concerned.
@@alexandrosroussos the G8s could be modded to go beyond that. If you don't care for the USB-C port then get the G8+ instead if you don't mind the added weight due to the built-in battery. The G8+ comes pre-modded to easily stretch it out further if needed. The G8 will take more work. Do a search for it and decide.
Yeah we've gotten a lot of this. This is something we wanted to do but the bridge got too flimsy when we stretched it too much. Will be making changes to the next version and making it truly universally compatible.
D9 fits an iPad pro 12.9" in landscape orientation. It's what I use for remote play and it works great. Also 1/6th of the cost of this thing.
It works with CODM on Android.
Now THIS, is what I'm looking for!
Give me this same controller but with regular cost effectvie switches, normal analog sticks, and in a regular brown cardboard box for half the price and im all over it
But... There are other controllers that are already out like that...
@@ELOLimited you're kidding right? I had no idea. That's wild. You've gotta be messing with me. How has no one else covered these supposed controllers! Does this UA-camr know?
are they high?
Make another video in a few weeks and tell us about the durability, only then will it be worth £150
Just get a gamesir g8 for $60 and call it a day
Beautiful design, but Gamesir seems to have the controller game locked down for quality, funtionality, and price.
Dammit, I thought the Electric Lights Orchestra were getting into handhelds
lol
Nice .... name...😊
150$ 😂😂😂 u can buy a Xbox s (console + controller ) for 100$ ... Not to mention u can buy a handle device. What are these companies are thinking.
Bro that's not nothing new game vice did that first the ones that licensed the Kishi to razor
Why don't any of these telescopic controllers use rubber membrane D-pad and face buttons? Anything else is not ideal for fighting games / heavy D-pad gaming. 🍻
I'm looking to buy a new gaming device preferably a PC. however my budget is a bit low since Cost of living in my country is very high. Whats you best suggestion. It doesn't have to be the latest options
@@Smiles_OD ps5 or the first version of the rog ally
Next review gamesir x3 pro
Looks good but feels too expensive.
Lol. Was gonna watch the review and the top comment already told me the price is a hell no.
Lol 149$? NEVER EVER !!!
This or the razer kishi ultra since they both take the iPad mini?
i mean, kishi ultra is the best controller on market rn, it is expensive but the best, i would recommend to wait for further reviews of this controller, cuz it is looking good
is that the new Redmi pad?
why buy a Sony Playstation Portal when this exist
Any good? Good. But ROG Kunai still reigns
old ETA Prime: gives honest reviews daily
new ETA Prime: paid promotion go boom 🥴
But... We didn't pay him. We just sent it over. You can also see in the description he's using a generic link.
$150! for $50 more you may as well just get a retroid pocket 4 pro!
Great
look like bsp d9 to me
These prices are kind of insane. The premium for a telescopic controller is strange.
Yeah... As soon as you get into moving parts the manufacturing costs skyrocket. You'd be surprised at how many problems a small moving mechanism like this creates when engineering.
Please do some portable or external Digital To Analog Converters (DAC) review! You don't give Audio much attention.
MENTION THE PRICE HOW ARE IS THAT
does it work with the ipad pro?
That price. Gross.
👍🏾
😢 I've never been a fan of the "Xbox" button layout.... when pressing the letter buttons on the right side, the joystick gets in the way...
Maybe this will be changed in V2
My galileo g8 has almost all the features of this controller for $20
Where the f*ck did you get the g8 for $20? I haven't seen it for less than 60+
The G8 could be had for $40 after some discounts if you don't mind waiting for it.
@@volcalstone where?
@@jvillaro AliExpress but you need to be quick as their additional discounts ends today. Look for the listing under $50 and then just add something cheap to make it over $50 to get the max discount. You will need to use some coins to get it down further as well. It basically makes the G8 alone $40 before taxes. Don't ask me why there are taxes either.
I just ordered one as I could wait for it. I already have the G8+ and M15. Got a 2nd M15 for only $24 after tsxes which is crazy. Good luck.
😁😁😁👍👍👍
Not enough features to justify anything close to this price.
What features would you like to see so we can work it into the next design.
0 minute gang
why should anyone pick this instead of easysmx m15?
My Galileo G8+ is 100 Time better than this for less than half this Price....
I'd get one if the sticks were symmetrical.
For a short time I thought this channel was actually good for mobile gaming/sff gaming, now it's just another marketing channel lmao. I understand that a man's gotta eat, but these are the types of videos that make me unsubscribe.
He didn't get sponsored for this. Just putting that out there.
Nah not worth it should have pass through for 100w
Would blow up your phone. Fast charging already heats up your battery as it is. If you charge it that fast while playing a games you'd burn your hands.
price is ridiculous....
Funny price
geekom mega mini g1 new mini pc
First!
Nice looking controller, but way over priced. It shouldn't retail for any more than £60. I can get a Galileo G8+ from China for £29, so $150 is a big No!
Cant use extern cooler ! Useless
Looking into this for the next version. Appreciate the feedback.
