Both of your characters are showing through really well. He moves smoothly and is very relaxed but he makes shortcuts to stay in his flow. He didn't measure precisely, picked up cups with his fingers inside the cup etc. Not a complaint but def. shortcuts. You are very tense and precise. I think that's why you sometimes spill. He probably rarely spills. I'm pretty tense like you too. Made a mess many times when making drinks (not cafe though). Funny and relatable :)
Personally I like shortcuts when making drinks. If I measured out to the ml of every drink I'd be standing behind the bar all day, I use counts and motions for my cuts. But that's a bar setting not as a barista :)
2 things: love the green flannel shirt, and you are the most precise and professional barista I’ve ever seen, you must open your own coffee house one day ☕️
Since I was a little kid I always loved cafes sounds. I always found them so relaxing and enjoyable to just sit and listen to. So today here I am, doing the same thing.
Just wanted to say your videos are awesome. I some how stumbled upon one of your videos and have been binging all your videos since. It’s so mesmerizing seeing the hard work baristas do. Hope you’re staying safe in Melbourne!
Part of the charm is the background noise, makes things so relaxing. I hear a constant humming, is that coming from the air conditioning or from some machines?
Huge tip I Iearned, when throwing away plastic milk jugs, put the steam want in for a lil bit, lets you crush the whole thing, compress it and basically half your bin bag use :D
I'm in love with cafe vlogs these days, and yours is the best I think. Could you give me the information about the beverage you made from 22 min to 25 min on this video? I think it is probably a macha latte with 3 shots, isn't it?
Thank you for the kind words :) I'm not sure what do you mean by macha, is it Mocha? Within that time period I made a few coffees but Mocha is not one, maybe it's a hot choco :)
hello from South Korea! I love this real time cafe vlog! I want you to upload longer videos often. and the one thing I wonder that how many kinds of milk there are in the store
It’s fun to compare what different drinks are more popular in different countries. Here in Jerusalem most of my orders are for extra strong flaming hot cappuccinos and hot chocolate. Most people prefer skim milk. People I’m curious to know: what is the most common order you get in your country?
Hi I just started following you, these video relax me soo much, i love them! The only thing I see that I don't like is the fact that whoever is the cashier handles the money/cards and then touches the inside or rim of the cups to write the order! I don't think it's healthy, especially during these times! Maybe don't do that, I wouldn't like it if it were my cup of coffee 😅. No hate, just an opinion xo
Marcella Casagrande You have a good point! Also when they place the cups on top of the espresso machine, they tend to touch the inside/rim of the cup. I think it’s an ergonomic fault because they reach up to place the paper cups past an obstruction of ceramic mugs, which is actually an occupational hazard, that’s why they tend to hold the inside and rim. Hope they can do some rearranging!
Thank you for your videos ! Really enjoy watching them :) How do you bothe like or dislike about this bar / cash setup ? I'm especially curious about ergonomy and space optimization with 1 to 2 people behin bar/cash. Thank you and stay safe !
I kinda like this setup.. Where the till and the coffee bar is actually side by side.. So when a customer walks in and order, us barista can also hear what they order, that way, we can start on the coffee without having to wait on them writing it on the cup.. I also like how we have two iPad stands, one on the side of the bar where the front staff is positioned, and one in front of the bar. So when the front staff is occupied, I can always serve from my side of the bar without having to walk around.. The money container is also in the middle of the bar so both front staff and barista can reach it.. I don't like how we always have to write the order on the cups, many people find it unhygienic, sometimes it delays our workflow too, although, we do save a lot of print roll from this.. I also don't like they system on the POS machine, too many buttons to press just to put through an order, not as friendly as the other system that I've used before.. That's about it I guess :)
These are so relaxing to watch, but I can't get over the steamed milk towel being used over and over again... Im sure thats normal but never really thought about it 🥴
Yes it's very normal, we use one towel for the steamer for the whole day.. But we don't use the steamer towel for anything else. We have different towel for everything else
The sugar jar is next to the cashier, and the person who takes the order will put the sugar in before putting them on top of the machine for us :) But we also have another jug of sugar next to the grinder, just in case if the person on the cashier forgot to put the sugar for us :)
Laura Angelia oh sorry maybe my question isn’t clear. Since the machine has a lot of metal part, it can get quite hot and the water dispenser is hot too. Do you get scaled or burnt by it before?
Mmm.. Only one time, I put a bucket of boiling hot water on the bench, and then I knocked it off and it went all over my pants.. Thank God my apartment was just 50 metres from the cafe so I could go home, change and put a healing cream so my skin didn’t get burnt.. It was totally my fault.. If you’re really clumsy you better be very careful, because you’ll be working with mostly glasses and cups.. You might drop them.. Or you may also knocked off a jug filled with milk (could be cold, could be hot).. May also knocked coffee cups with the coffee inside.. The possibility is endless, haha..
1 kilograms of coffe, 25 grams per serve (23 in the cup, 2 to be adjusted) = 40 cups x AUD 5 = AUD 200. not bad. how many cups per day max during this situation were sold?
We do, only if anyone’s order a weak takeaway coffee or for a dine in cup.. The spare shot, usually we’d throw it out because we don’t serve old shot to customers (we can serve it only if it’s less than 5 minutes).. But recently I’ve been keeping the spare shots in a separate jug and brought it home to make ice latte when I’m not working, lol..
Wow this customer from 3min19secs, I guess I remember her being in another video but in the summer, therefore, she's a regular... I feel like I work there too hahaha. Just take me, please.
Both of your characters are showing through really well.

You are very tense and precise. I think that's why you sometimes spill. He probably rarely spills.
I'm pretty tense like you too. Made a mess many times when making drinks (not cafe though). Funny and relatable :)
You explain this so well :)
He literally spilled at 7:26 lol
Personally I like shortcuts when making drinks. If I measured out to the ml of every drink I'd be standing behind the bar all day, I use counts and motions for my cuts. But that's a bar setting not as a barista :)

IDK why but these videos are soothing!

Yes! But we don’t need to do that because we return all the milk bottles to the company to be recycled :)

It's probably a bad habit more than an ergonomic issue

Nice video 👍🏼 is it worth it to take barista course? Did you take one before?
There are two steamers on the machine, why do you guys always use just the one on the left ? I got curious.

Thank you so much 😀
Aku jugaaa mau bikin vlog cafe. Ntar malem deh bikin hehehe
Hi ce, aku pernah kerja di cg, dan aku pernah liat kamu sekali, mau tanya2 dong, boleh? Thank you
After watching 3 episodes I realized you guys never put sugar or any sweetener.. LOL do you guys just have it out, for them to put?
The sugar jar is next to the cashier, and the person who takes the order will put the sugar in before putting them on top of the machine for us :) But we also have another jug of sugar next to the grinder, just in case if the person on the cashier forgot to put the sugar for us :)
I’m really curious about one thing. Do baristas often get scaled by hot water? I’m really clumsy and I’m planning to work part time in a coffee shop
What do you mean by ‘get scaled by hoy water?’
Laura Angelia oh sorry maybe my question isn’t clear. Since the machine has a lot of metal part, it can get quite hot and the water dispenser is hot too. Do you get scaled or burnt by it before?

Laura Angelia omg thank you so much for answering my question 🥺 these accident might happen especially during busy hours!
1 kilograms of coffe, 25 grams per serve (23 in the cup, 2 to be adjusted) = 40 cups x AUD 5 = AUD 200. not bad. how many cups per day max during this situation were sold?
This video was shot on lockdown so we’re doing about 8-10 kgs of coffee a day.
@@laurangelia amazing that during this situation you guys still doing well.
Your boss is cool 😎!!
I like your coffee shop and you organization, how much coffee you sale in normale day ??
What grinder is that with giant hopper? And why is there another grinder that isn’t used?
Mazzer grinder.. The other one is only for grinding decaf or filter :)
.siang kak, saya mau nanya klo gelas large dan medium apakah takarannya sama aja??? Makasih kak GBU
Is your cafe still serving takeaway food during lockdown?
Yess
I like coffee ☕️😍👍
