If a professional hairdresser tells you it's going to take them weeks to get you the results you want, what makes you think you can do it in one night? Why does nobody listen to the professionals?
@basbleupeaunoire I understand that it might be too expensive to get it done professionally, but there aren't only two options in this scenario. She could have just left it alone rather than risk wrecking her hair completely.
So, she forgot to show the point of her video the end result. So, she flashes it for one second and doesn't discuss a thing. So, she uses a "treatment mask" not a toner and it's perfect silver. FAKE I smell a trip to the hairdresser.
true!! i have my hair silver and i always let it do by my hairdresser since 20y's or so , i like grey and silver , just have got it for ages ! and that is not a thing you can do at home ! and i have very short hair , not even needing sections ! hahahah but no way i would try this myself! she went to a pro and they fixed it for her!
TAKE! FINE! SECTIONS! Even when I'm just blow-drying my hair, I hear a little voice in my head saying, "TAKE FINE SECTIONS!" I can hear your eyes rolling HB! 😂
And she could afford braces! She was just stubborn and wanted to reach the end result ASAP because the professionals wouldn't let her. If I had that kind of money I would go to the hairdresser all the time.
It's always the exact same situation. They ''forget'' to film their hair when it's still messy and then it ends up magically looking good. It's all on purpose to pretend that they did that on their own (not all the girls but most of them). How can you forget to film if that was the whole point?
First thought is that it is a wig because she simply didn't have enough hair left to achieve that volume, re-dyed or not. It's just not going to happen. There is no way those spaghetti-thin strands turned suddenly into those large, voluminous curls. So it's a wig or a lot of extensions.
I sent this to my hairdresser. I started the red to blonde transition today. Plan is to be mostly blonde over 3 visits 3 months apart. And I cut a few inches off. She kept saying she’s glad I’m so realistic in understanding that it takes several visits.
and/or a still photo obviously wont show how the hair moves - so a posed pic looks amazing, but its really damaged and moves like dry straw. I dont think she forgot to finish the video at all, as she spent so long recording her journey....
@@lucietigger1641 "moves like dry straw" gave me flashbacks. I fried my hair off back in 2012 and the sound it made! It was horrible, like wearing a wig made out of plastic bag strips.
I remember trying to go blonde as a Black woman 😂....chemistry would've taught me that I'd end up looking like Garfield the cat 🐈! I'm sure doing a relaxer the same day didn't help.
Ha! I remember seeing black women with the bright orange hair. I don't see it anymore. I guess there are just more reliable products in the stores now.
Well, double processing is very risky to start, never mind on the same day! So you’re lucky you look like Garfield, and not like Hair Buddha! Bleach and relaxers don’t do well together. Even with coloring you gotta be careful, like stay away from 30 vol; nothing more than 20. I had blond highlights done by a pro before on relaxed hair. All good. However, when I relaxed my hair again 3 months later (well a touch up but my hair grows fast so I had over 3” of regrowth), well most of the highlights evaporated, ie the hair cut off at the blonde part. Thank goodness I have high density hair, so I had lots left.
I definitely believe some of the people in the comments here for the end results being staged. I think she really hated her end results, decided to not film that and then comes on camera with perfect silver grey hair that a professional definitely did for her. Also I do agree with you that her hair is very dry and definitely is screaming "don't touch me dammit! Stop coloring me I'm dead! Treatment!" so very indecisive impulsive girl over here and definitely lying at the end that she got that magical results herself when I smell staged in her video end
Everytime i think about changing the color of my waist length hair, i watch one of your videos and decide that healthy is more important than a different color 😂😂😂 Even more because i know my hair will not survive healthy enough to be acceptable for me.
I have to agree with so many other people on here, i don't believe for a second that she 'forgot' to film the end result. My thoughts are the end result was so bad there was no way she was posting it, and instead, she trotted off to the hairdresser who fixed her hair, and then she did a quick update
I don't think she got the end results alone. A salon or maybe a wig. That hair was dry to begin with and you want to bleach?! She has stressed us all out. 😊
3:10 That's actually a thing I had on some chemical processes in the school lab. Shaking, leave it be and shake again. I wish I could remember exactly what reaction it was about. But basically...there are two compounds and they react when mixed. The shaking is a catalyst and the reaction happens somewhat fast. However, in a bottle is not that much space. So to make aaaall of the matter react and finish the reaction...it sometimes needs this second catalyst. Otherwise some reactions will turn backwards after a while. Chemistry lab for my job. Pharmacy. Sadly we didn't really need it in the job anymore. Which is why I don't remember much details. It was so much fun in class
I soo wish YOU would do something beautiful to my long gray hair! Do you ever visit the Oregon Coast? Thanks for sharing all these videos. While I do not know what TO do with my hair, you have shown me what NOT to do with it! lol Thank You for sharing your reactions to the FAILS & the WINS!
I’m a child of '90, so my mom and I did our hair to each other for so many years, and used toothbrush at first because there was nowhere to buy the dye brush (not like now, where you can buy it in every shop), and it is almost 18 years now, and we know what is good for our hair, what to do and what avoid. And yeah, we don't go to the hairdresser, because I try it once, and they just burned my scalp - I'm dark blond and wanted it lighter - and I have to go for a treatment for many months... Last year my mom wanted dark brown roots and hairdresser make her hair deep black, and she was not happy... Sooo... yeah, we do our own hair in home, but for so many years, we know how to do it right, but it took us many, many bad moments, breaking, burning or patchiness, but we did learn it, and now I'm making my friends and family hair - those who just had it bad with the hairdressers or can't afford one. So I'm very happy that there is someone like you, that give advices and not only reacts, but say what went bad and how could it be saved or not. I knew many things that you're talking about, but there were few things I didn't know, and for that, thank you for how you are. Never change.
I have Colour Away at home. I have, mostly, white hair, which I fairly regularly use semipermanent hair colour - usually Manic Panic, or Shrine. When the colour has mostly faded away, and is just looking drab, that's when I use Colour Away - if extra washes still haven't got rid of the residual colour.

100%
If a professional hairdresser tells you it's going to take them weeks to get you the results you want, what makes you think you can do it in one night? Why does nobody listen to the professionals?
Because they watched a video of someone do it at home so it "can't be that hard" famous last words.
Because people watch videos like hers, and see a result at the end that was redone by a hairdresser and they believe they can do that at home
I think the $1500 had a lot to do with it.
