No doubt about that! The backpack link is a great investment for anyone using EGO equipment for long periods or who just wants to lighten up the equipment. Great feedback!
Best video I've seen on this chainsaw. I just ordered my CS 1804 kit today. Regarding the all plastic handle, I think wrapping it with baseball bat or bicycle handlebar tape should help cushion the hands and wrists. I didn't fully understand how that chain gets tightened but thanks for opening the cover and trying to explain. I'm trying to find low cost aftermarket 18" replacement bars that will work properly on this saw. Amazon doesn't yet offer the lowest price on this kit. Lowe's seems to though. I got my EGO blowers a few years ago at Home Depot and am definitely satisfied with them. I wonder if EGO sells a larger amp/hr battery than their 7.5 amp/hr battery? Is there an adjustment screw for the amount of bar oil flow? Thanks 👍🏼👍🏼
@@JustinLodes Making power cords for battery powered tools might be easy for you, but not so easy for everyone else. If it's so easy why didn't they do it to begin with. 😉
🤔The whole idea is to eliminate wires. The same with gas powered chainsaws. There's no AC wire for gas powered chainsaws, blowers, weed trimmers or lawnmowers either. Besides I've never seen any 12 volt power tools with 100 foot or more AC extension cords. The tools either need 110 AC power or they are cordless battery powered. 😉
I bought these because of this review. I'm probably going to buy more Ego and eventually get the power station.
most ego tools strongly benefit from the backpack link. i use the backpack+7.5 ah batteries

Would be cool if they had an A/c possibility to plug in to a cord when the battery dies or if the battery was too heavy.
That's a good idea!
You can easily just make one

The backpack option might help you.
Weight isn't a problem, by the time your arm gets fatigued, your battery is dead.
LOL! Good call!
Just bought a brand new one from a homeless guy who stole it for 40
