Scott have you looked at using Google add words? it would be interesting to see what does better. With Google AdWords you have so many setting and you can even say what postcodes where the adverts will run but Google work on a 30-day billing timetable

I think that you've answered your question ... it only worked for you when it was shared with another media ... so FB alone do not work.

It's a bit of wet/outside area, doors are always open. I've seen mould grow on standard ply in seemingly dry conditions so I wanted to avoid that

It does. You can select your audience too from age, gender and location. It will the show you the results from this... It's very informative.
