For me, this video did exactly what you wanted: making me inspired and started thinking "Oh I can do this! I have to give it a try!".
Next weekend I'm getting my new 200L aquarium, that's going to be my "luxury aquarium". A brand new optiwhite (my others are normal, small second hand ones) and of course I want this new one to be as close to perfect as possible. I will definitely take a look at how to make a substrate like the one in this video. The ones worked best for me until now have been aquasoil in bags covered with fine gravel.
I'm super excited for my new aquarium and I'm so happy for all the inspiration I'll get from this channel!

Brilliant video as always. I set up a 23 litre tank myself. Neon tetras and cherry shrimps in it. Decent amount of plants but can do with more stems in the background.
Aren’t as easily accessible in Dublin. I concur with the comments above. It’s the joy of watching your ecosystem take shape more than anything else.

I've always wanted to keep rasboras, but they're pretty rare to find in Brazil as well (and are usually sold at a premium, due to low supply and high demand). Dedicated my current tank to different species of orange/red tetras instead, but the only green tetra I can think of is rathbuni's tetra and they're not nearly as intense in colour as kubotai rasboras.

For my tanks with the sides showing, I use my aqauscaping spade and pusht he substrate over just a bit. When I put in the sand, you only see sand all the way around.

I love watching all your videos and the way you get your tanks to come together I live in the US and wish there was a place that we could buy the plants that you use without having to cost a lot of money. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the videos, I’m about to start my first set up, a nano tank. All the info you share in your videos has inspired me. Can I use a piece of wood I find in nature? What are the requirements or treatments for wood before use?

I don't think I'll ever not be against this "Ecosystem" term for an aquarium. Anyway really loving the hardscape design for this one :)

I put some amano shrimp in my new tank first. I thought they’d take care of the algae that had popped up. They sort of picked at it. I added in one large snail and the amanos seemed to have noticed the snail is eating their algae fast and went to work eating algae lol. Little do they know more food is to come for all of them if all the algae runs out
