What an interesting concept: a telescope with a variable aperture? Use it as a telescope by night and a photography lens by day. The optics for both are a bit different (flat field needed for astro vs. more forgiving at the edges for daytime photography) and what about chromatic aberrations and vignetting - imaging looks really nice, I must say. Looking forward to seeing someone test this in the field. Really applaud Sharpstar for thinking out of the box.
