You looked cold in the workshop. A very well deserved beer in front of the wood burner at the end. Bless him - my Dad - made a sledge for me when I was 7 but he got the width and the depth mixed up and I couldn't even pull it through the snow. Have watched so many of your vids that are relevant to us; old house renovation, van build and more. You're an inspiration. Thank you for the sledges. R & T
Tim - they look fantastic. My Dad made sledges for me and my sister around 45 years ago. I've still got one of them. Don't forget to candle wax the runners :) Enjoy the fruits of your labour.
This by a long way so far is your best video. Excellent editing, skilful camera shots and great music choice. What I wanted was that one final run down the hill and the laughing kids face to close. Nice one!
Tim, without evening seeing the sledding (US, sorry) action, I can just tell that the girls are going to love their daddy's project. Made with love, they'll never forget these sleds.
Love this fella looking forward to the build the wife keeps telling me we need a proper sledge 🛷 shame this weather is probably just a usual blip and we probably won’t see it for another 5 years 😂
Then build one that you can add wheels and a steering axle to, dual purpose sled and cart ;) Personally if you split the rails so a portion at the front steers, then add holes for a couple of axles, that way you can steer on snow too.
lol ffs, I was expecting a easy diy job, you might as well got the wood from a DIY store :D getting wood is easy, building it with only a saw and a hammer not so much.

This was an amazing video. It touched my heart. Your a great person.
You're a legend mate, such crafting talent and two beautiful sledges for your girls. Great video!
Kids will never forget that matey 👍🏻👍🏻
Good to see you're making the most of the weather
Beautiful!

Brilliant video & music.
Wow.... Absolutely beautiful....
I wish I could like this more than once!
Fantastic sledge can't wait for the build video. Great stuff keep them coming.
Nicely done, and good to see you finally sitting down for a beer by the fire. ;)
I watch this channel while wondering why it took me two months to put a shelf up. Great video as always.
Just lovely.

Many many years ago when my Dad built a sled, he added some metal runners to the side rails, some sort of strip that was probably trim from a vehicle.
Wooden runners planed smooth, then sanded and waxed will go like a rocket.
Runners need to be absolutely smooth!
Sweet
Looks awesome. Just wish I had a garage to make such items, rather than a full 6x4 apex shed.
Good video. But I need to see it in action on the snow.
Sweet vid. :)
Fair play. How do you come up with the plans? Do you find plans online? Or just wing it yourself?
Winging it as always! One cut at a time. 👍
Verry nice :)
well at least your enjoying the snow.
And you had to make two, to keep the peace:)
So I can race them you mean! 😀
Who had more fun on them, You or the girls?
My dad did this for us when I was a kid.
Just realised what a crap Dad I am.
Please don't burn treated wood in your house.
I actually googled the word "sledge". In Canada we have sleds, sleighs and toboggans.
