310R Championship (2022) - Spa - Round 13

Off to our first international round since covid stopped them 3 years ago. Racing at the amazing Spa Francorchamps circuit with all the recent changes in re-surfaced sections to suit modern F1 requirements.
It had been wet on the test days and in qualifying, where the tow was still very important over such a long lap. Qualified 4th with minimal tow so was feeling good for the race.
Pre-race it was taking a long time for the wet track to dry and there was always the chance o more rain. Most people went for a complete wet setup but amazingly the weather held and the race started with a dry line. This made overtaking tricky off line.
As always with caterhams and a grand prix wide circuit it was a bit of a lottery how and when you could get pack size. 4th was ok but the stop start of safety cars made it feel like we didnt get much of a chance to race. The final yellow flag (2 cars off on the exit of one of the quickest corners Pouhon) was almost certainly going to be a safety car had it not been near the end of the race and admittedly I had assumed it would be a safety car and missed the green flag as the pack raced off. Another stupid mistake that cost me a chance to fight for a podium on the final lap.
